We removed the pergola and existing concrete and filled in with sod and drains with the negative drainage towards the house. We covered the door exiting the house and raised the roof line to 9' and vaulted the interior ceiling to 10' to maximize volume. At the back of the space we added a 10' kitchen with granite, 32" grill, propane drawer, 2-drawer & paper towel holder combo, and space for a Large Big Green Egg. The salt finish concrete gives an added look more than the standard broom finish. The columns are built out and given dimension with exterior trim materials. We installed a 6" pre-stained tongue and groove ceiling along with 6" eyeball recess cans to give directional lighting.

Designed by Angie Barwin of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Woodbridge VA in collaboration with Potomac Home Improvements, this primary bathroom features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Sierra door style in a White finish. The vanity countertops are MSI Q Smoked Pearl.
The bathroom includes Italgraniti Lux Calacatta Mont Blanc field tiles, Islandstone Waveline Breeze Matte glass accent tiles and Islandstone Sliced Pebble Grey shower floor and under tub accent tiles.
“The client was a joy to work with, full of energy and excitement for this project. He was looking for a spa-like feel in his Primary Bathroom. He had definitive ideas about what he did not want which helped steer me in the right direction,” said Angie. “We expanded the shower, added a freestanding tub in lieu of the existing garden tub, and brightened up the bath with white cabinetry, a light vanity top and a frameless, custom shower door. Removing the large tub deck and surround enabled the space to feel open and grand as well.”
“The bathroom project exceeded all my expectations. Everyone performing the work was professional and the design of the new bathroom is fantastic. Well worth the effort and the costs were reasonable,” said the client.

The strong contrast of a tableau of chest and mirror draws the eye to the end of a long hallway. The round detail on the dark wood chest is echoed in the negative image of the round mirror.

The homeowner desired an outdoor space that would include an area for relaxing with a full view of the pool, an outdoor kitchen, a fire feature and a dining area. The space replaced a small patio cover that was just not big enough.
We had to remove three 2nd floor windows in order to tie into the home and give the new cover a proper pitch. On the interior, we created art nooks where the windows had been.
The kitchen has a tile backsplash, custom vent hood cover over a ventahood liner, custom cabinets that house the wireless electronic system, and is equipped with an RCS grill and stainless drawers, doors and an outdoor refrigerator. The bar area has bar top seating and a beautiful copper backsplash. The fascia is stone (Quarry Cream Rough) and matches the columns and fire pit bases. The fire pits are topped with Noce tumbled 16x24 pavers. They are custom built gas fire pits that allow for a full view of the pool and backyard.
The flooring is a special feature! It is 12X48 paver tiles from Turkey that look like wood. The wood grain look was computerized directly on them. They have a rough texture, so it isn’t slippery (perfect for poolside).
The ceiling is a coffered ceiling using tongue and groove pine that has been painted. The beams are wrapped in hardie and painted. The ceiling fans are Haiku fans. This design was created to allow for a wide open view of the pool and backyard as well as create a grand entrance to the yard from the home.
Since the pool was there first, it was important to keep that as the main focus of the backyard! We think it's just gorgeous!

Here is a BEFORE image of our clients bedroom with a single window that had old trimming. Our client was looking for something to direct the light through the room while giving them all the privacy they needed..

The building is a Will Bruder design from the mid 90's and owned & operated by Jackson Hole Title & Escrow. It's an interesting space with all angled walls, lots of glass & a center atrium that extends from the main level to the 3rd floor ceiling. My client wanted to soften the masculinity of the spaces and give it a vibrant fresh look. She has love for contemporary design, especially mid century modern and is always eager to push boundaries with her design choices. I used 'Cocobolo' paper from Flavor Paper as the starting point for pattern and color direction. 30" Satellite pendants from DWR hang on every level in the atrium and can be seen from all pathways. Humorous artwork from The Grand Image, candy bins, a metallic chevron stripe and funky, loose lighting from Tech add to the playfulness of the space. Photo Credit: David Agnello

This image highlights the shaded terrace and the glass façades that required exact tie-ins during the upgrade. Because these spaces sit directly along high-traffic walkways, Schulte Roofing designed clean transitions between soffit panels, façade cladding, and the new TPO membrane. The finished lines and consistent metal edges reflect the level of exterior detailing often associated with our seasoned College Station roofing company workmanship across complex public-use buildings.

These large Weathered Antique Timbers span the ceiling from a rustic great room through to a hallway transition, unifying the two spaces with a continuous thread of history and character. The deep tobacco brown and dark mocha tones, heavy checking, and original tool marks on these old growth hardwoods anchor the entire interior and complement the stone columns and warm finishes throughout.
Each of our Weathered Antique Timbers is sourced directly from 19th and early 20th century structures, and the century of weathering they carry gives them a depth that no modern timber can replicate. At Manomin Resawn Timbers, every piece goes through a detailed process of denailing, kiln drying, and precision milling so that antique character is preserved while performing beautifully in a modern home.
Whether you are a homebuilder, a home remodeling contractor, or a homeowner looking to carry reclaimed wood through multiple rooms and transition spaces, Manomin Resawn Timbers has been helping people discover the antique charm of reclaimed wood since 2002. We serve homebuilders, contractors, and designers across the country. Visit our showroom in Hugo, MN or reach out to us with a call or a message to get started.
