Inspiration for a timeless beige vinyl exterior home remodel in Chicago

Tired of doing laundry in an unfinished rugged basement? These homeowner's were as well! They contacted Castle to help them with their basement planning and build for a finished laundry space and new bathroom with shower. After the designer and client walked through ideas to improve flow of space, we decided to eliminate the existing 1/2 bath in the family room, and move the new bathroom into the existing laundry room. The full laundry room was finished to include new walls, ceilings, new plumbing, new Adura luxury vinyl tile flooring, beautiful shaker style cabinetry with beadboard panel, Glossy white Cultured marble countertops, a new Blanco composite sink, and Kohler Bellera faucet. In the new bathroom space, we continued the Adura luxury vinyl flooring. Finishes in the bathroom include Kohler Memoirs pedestal sink, Kohler Archer faucet, custom hex tile shower floor, subway tile walls, and custom frameless glass shower enclosure. Additional improvements were made to improve the health of the home including asbestos tile abatement, new drain tile and sump pump, new spray foam insulation, new glass block window, and a new Panasonic bathroom fan. We also decided to save and restore some original pieces in the home like their existing 5-panel doors and repurposing one salvaged door into a pocket door for the new bathroom. The homeowner completed the basement finish with new carpeting in the family room. The whole basement feels fresh, new, and has a great flow. They will enjoy their happy and healthy home for years to come.

We construct all of our homes & additions with 2x6 construction. We provide a very energy efficient product. Not only installing fiberglass insulation but we add an additional 1" foam board to the exterior creating a thermal barrier between. This means no drafts and coxy warmth in the winter and cool & compfortable in the summer.

Have you been dying to see a bathroom remodel that features a barn door style shower door? You know you have and now is your chance because DCI just completed that very remodel! This client had a number of things she wanted changed in her previous bathroom. Our team removed essentially the entire bathroom to renovate. All tile and drywall was removed as well as all fixtures including the toilet. With such a large renovation, the client opted to upgrade the bathroom window to an insulated vinyl window. When the drywall and tile were replaced the crew brought in the lovely vanity with matching linen closet and new toilet. Then the team assembled the frameless glass shower with a glass shower barn door. Once the remodel was done, the DCI team finished up with fantastic colors and accessories that speak to this client's wonderful taste in decor.

Our client wanted a complete makeover from their original wallpapered bathroom with soffit above the tub. Our crews gutted the bathroom to the studs, and updated all electric and plumbing to code using licensed sub-contractors. We also installed the following: new insulation, sub floor, drywall, tile, paint, vanity, medicine cabinet and new plumbing and electrical fixtures. The client says: "We just had a bathroom remodel and were very pleased with the results. John was our project manager and he was outstanding at keeping us up to date on the project status. For example, when the inspections would take place, debris hauled away and when his team would be at our house. The work done was excellent and I thought the price was fair. "

This was a major renovation of a colonial home in Freehold New Jersey. We stripped the house down, replaced rotted wood, all windows, new doors, porch stairs, railings, gutters, insulated and added vinyl siding and capped around the windows and doors. Take a look!
