Katherine Dashiell of Reico Kitchen and Bath in Annapolis, MD collaborated with Lauer Construction on this multi-room project to create a transitional style inspired kitchen, bathroom and mudroom remodel featuring Merillat Masterpiece cabinetry. The kitchen perimeter cabinets are the Rockwell full overlay door style in a Moonshine finish, paired with kitchen island cabinets in the Mineral Grey finish. The kitchen also includes Jefferey Alexander Marlo Knobs and Sullivan Pulls in Polished Chrome. The mudroom cabinets are the Rockwell full overlay door style in a Mineral Grey finish. The flooring is Pacific Caramel 8x8 tile. The bathroom cabinets are the Rockwell full overlay door style in a Mineral Grey finish with a Nickel Linen Glaze. The bathroom also includes Picadilly Gloss Perla 4x12 tile with Thassos Bar Liner and Deep Ocean Stone Mosaic for the shower wall and Stateworks Lugnez 12x24 and 2x2 for the shower floor. This bathroom remodel involved a complete rework of the plumbing, and electrical layout from the existing bathroom. The clients dream bathroom included a jacuzzi tub, large shower, and lots of tile, mission accomplished! Additional features include tile base, handheld shower unit, seamless shower drain, and a shower niche on backside of the knee wall for a clean looking shower.

One of the top factors that can influence the value of a property is the Master Bathroom. During the complete makeover on this project, we proceeded with the complete demolition of the existing master bathroom, including floors, vanity, plumbing, lighting fixtures, toitel and tub. In collaboration with the prestigious designer, Roberto Lugo, the D9 team worked on the layout for the Master Bathroom. With the plan of optimizing the space, we gave ample room to the vanity and the shower to allow them to include all the requested features from the homeowner. To create an inspiring and elegant atmosphere the combination of selected colors, textures and materials played a key role. The Master Bathroom was given elegance by the unique look of the gray toned Marble countertops, combined with the sophistication and detailed finish of the bathroom cabinets, and the neutral gray paint used to finish the raised-cabinets. The shower enclosure presents a double shower with two Marble benches and four shower fixtures with hinged door.

It shouldn’t be shocking that Mid-westerns are the last to experience the trends trickling in from the east and west coasts. While contemporary styles in white and grey have been flooding their homes over the past 3-5 years, homeowners in the Midwest seem to choose warmer hues in transitional styles. When brainstorming what our next display should encompass, we decided to blend the trends we see emerging in the Midwest with a cool, fun edge. Transitioning modern to Minnesota involves warmer colors, texture and depth to design. Flat panel doors in an off-white paired with a rich and earthy textured melamine encompass just that. Mixing metals, especially with gold is becoming increasingly popular. The display is shown blending stainless steel with fun, accessories in gold. Homeowners are beginning to like both the ease and the look of simplicity. As shown in our display, they are pairing flat-panel doors with a c-channel to take the place of knobs and pulls. Quartz countertops in a 2 cm (3/4”) thickness are almost always paired with this style, sometimes in a matte finish as they are a new trend and also reduce glare. This dark brown, almost black matte quartz top is shown contrasting against the glossy warm-white base cabinets in the display. Who hasn’t been on their hands and knees digging countlessly for the matching container and lid? Interior cabinet accessories save time and energy. Some trends in kitchen organization that the display incorporates include hands-free waste bins, knife/utensil pull-outs, container organizers, corner pull-outs, pull-out towel bars, Keurig cup organizers and dishware drawers. Having an organized kitchen is an upgrade but it without a doubt keeps us sane. What’s a space that doesn’t ignite a spark of interest? Have fun with it! In this space the existing circular soffit was designed around, yet celebrated. A bubble mosaic backsplash layered with bubble glass doors and decorative spheres are a fun way to play with shape. With bold light fixtures being a big trend for 2017, finding the perfect statement fixture for the space was the icing on the cake. Color can always personalize a space. In this case, the Pantone color of the year, Greenery #15-0343, became an inspiration when selecting accessories. Anyone with a sense of humor will appreciate the golden “man handle”. After all, we all love a great conversation piece.

A much-needed update brought this master bath to a light, airy space that included inset cabinet doors for a contemporary and modern feel. The shower is spacious with a rainhead and dual controls, and overhead lighting includes a contemporary chandelier to add a one-of-a-kind feel.

Original corner shower in white ceramic tile with dividing knee wall was removed along with the tiled tub deck and drop in tub. A Free standing cast iron pedestal tub from Vintage tubs was used with a more modern free standing tub filler. The shower includes 3 bodys sprays, one overhead wall mounted shower head and a hand shower all from Delta Brizo collection. Shaker cabinetry includes a large center armoire for multi use. The Master closet was built out in matching cabinet grade organizers.
