Having been so thrilled with their recent kitchen renovation, (See Dog Days Kitchen) a couple returned to Kitchen Elements to update and refresh their 20 year old bathroom. The selected design grabbed square footage from the master bedroom entryway. The clients were intrigued with creating individual “his and her” vanity locations. The captured space from the bedroom allowed for one vanity recess and the other vanity recess was placed in the old shower location. The new shower found its home where the old vanity stood, allowing for a significant increase of the shower footprint. A luxurious soaking tub replaced the dated built-in Jacuzzi. As a result, the space looks bigger, brighter and a much more inviting place to start and end the day.

Modern Wall Unit Lyrics 03 by Up Huppe Made in Canada The Lyrics by Up Huppe is a modular line of wall units made out of a specially selected American walnut veneer and lacquered in a blend of micro-textured lacquer. The collection is equipped with the highest quality hardware, and the drawers, which are specially treated and stained to match the exterior, are able to close gently and silently due to the invisible, self-closing slow-motion slides. All the modules within the Lyric line can be set on a base, placed on the floor or hung on a wall to allow for the creation of unique configurations, with plenty of storage space within the modules to make them functional as well. The black smoked glass front of the TV base units are made so that they do not interrupt any wireless device signal, and the cut-outs on the back and the adjustable shelves of each unit help provide maximum ventilation for any electronics. Designed by Joel Dupras and manufactured in Canada by a passionate and professional team, the Lyrics line guarantees the highest build quality for each of its units. This one bedroom apartment is located in a converted loft building in the Flatiron District of Manhattan overlooking Madison Square, the start of Madison Avenue and the Empire State Building. The project involved a gut renovation interior fit-out including the replacement of the windows. In order to maximize natural light and open up views from the apartment, the layout is divided into three "layers" from enclosed to semi-open to open. The bedroom is set back as far as possible within the central layer so that the living room can occupy the entire width of the window wall. The bedroom was designed to be a flexible space that can be completely open to the living room and kitchen during the day, creating one large space, but enclosed at night. This is achieved with sliding and folding glass doors on two sides of the bedroom that can be partially or completely opened as required. The open plan kitchen is focused on a long island that acts as a food preparation area, workspace and can be extended to create a dining table projecting into the living room. The bathroom acts as a counterpoint to the light, open plan design of the rest of the apartment, with a sense of luxury provided by the finishes, the generous shower and bath and three separate lighting systems that can be used together or individually to define the mood of the space. We began designing Don Fuego at the start of 2024, keeping four key elements at the forefront: Moody, Sophisticated, Bold, and Memorable. Inspired by Día de los Muertos, this space pays homage to those who are no longer with us physically but remain with us spiritually. Every design choice reflects this essence—deep, rich textures, dramatic lighting, and custom elements that make Don Fuego a true work of art. One of the focal points is the custom-designed checkout counter, featuring a striking porcelain slab that embodies everything Don Fuego stands for: fire, intensity, and individuality. The moment we saw it, we knew it was destined for this space. Design is all about the details, and Don Fuego is no exception. From late-night idea exchanges to meticulous material selections, every element was chosen with intention. We introduced texture through limewash, mimicking the organic feel of a grave, and Roman clay, sculpted into arches reminiscent of traditional Mexican architecture. Lighting is the jewelry of a space, and in Don Fuego, it sets the mood. We layered task, decorative, ambient, and accent lighting to create an immersive atmosphere. One of our favorite details? A light fixture inspired by the cascarón, a cracked egg symbolizing good luck and prosperity in Mexican culture. The moment we discovered it, we knew it belonged here—to bring blessings to our clients and everyone who steps inside this curated experience. Modern Citi Group recently completed this remarkable condo renovation project in Jersey City, tailored to meet the distinct tastes of a homeowner seeking a space that exudes feminine charm and personalized elegance. This full renovation included a complete overhaul of the look of this home, incorporating the client's very specific desires. Our design team worked closely with the client to ensure the alignment of vision and brought to life the dreams of the client. Every renovation project starts with the planning phase led by the project planners. At the at-home visit, Anna captured a 360 tour of the apartment to get accurate measurements and fast-track the project. As the project progressed, the client was able to keep track of costs and enjoy simulations on her client dashboard. The planning process went smoothly, and the client was very happy with the results. To achieve this feminine look, bespoke light fixtures and carefully selected wallpaper were installed to create a refined ambiance. Going above and beyond, the project also incorporated cutting-edge technology, including a smart toilet and bidet. Every inch of space in the home reflects the client's exact desires and taste. This comprehensive endeavor focused on transforming the residence, encompassing a full-scale renovation of the kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The team refinished the floors, ceilings and walls - integrating elements that resonated with the homeowner's vision for a space that harmoniously blends femininity, class, and timeless elegance. The end result is a meticulously crafted home that not only reflects the homeowner's individual style but also stands as a testament to Modern Citi Group's commitment to delivering sophisticated and personalized living spaces.

The client purchased a mature, small, NAPA Valley vineyard to be their home and for personal enjoyment. Once they began converting their new "hobby" grapes into wine, they soon realized they needed a place to "age" their labors and a place to then enjoy them. They decided to design such a place within the confines of their home where they could entertain family and friends. The structure was modified to allow storage of more than 200 individual bottles, cases, and magnum size bottles. A cask room was added as was a well-appointed tasting room. The storage area is separated from the tasting and social area by a tempered glass doors and windows. The space to be converted was a challenge. No surface was plumb or level, therefore, the remodel involved interior walls, new floors and ceilings. Until these issues were addressed, the beautiful cabinet work, and a complete temperature and humidity control system to store, maintain, and enjoy the wine could not be started. The floors had to be floated out and chases with faux finishes provided for HVAC and electrical. Lighting in the tasting room is provided by a series of recessed and puck lights. The bar/counter area is highlighted by a custom, Tiffany style chandelier. Enough space was left in front of the bar to accommodate two serving tables for food and snacks, with plenty of room to move about the space. Discreetly hidden behind the bar is a large capacity cooler that can chill several bottles at once. The bar is capped with eight lineal feet of Calcutta Gold Marble and sports a brass foot rail. The bar has grape panels between Acanthus Corbels and the bottle storage cabinet areas are a unique blend of Acanthus overlays under precisely cut and mitered grape design crown molding over and around a cleverly designed bottle storage system. Traffic flow is achieved through the multiple points of entry through any of three pairs of 6' custom double doors which, when weather permitting, can remain open while entertaining. The host and hostess can attend food and beverage service from behind and around the bar through a separate doorway. The temperature controlled cask storage area is large enough for the clients' current needs, and can accommodate a larger number of casks should the need arise. The floor and walls of the cask room are designed for easy maintenance.. Both rooms are delightfully decorated with earthen tone faux finishes on walls, ceilings and floors reminiscent of a nonspecific European wine making region. This effect is extended to the soffits in the tasting room. A unique wine racking system is easily stored, providing even greater ability to maintain and move about the storage area.

Typically larger than standard closets, these well-designed spaces often feature built-in shelves, drawers, and hanging rods to accommodate a variety of wardrobe items. Ample lighting, whether natural or strategically placed fixtures, ensures visibility and adds to the overall ambiance. Mirrors and dressing areas may be integrated for convenience, transforming the walk-in closet into a private dressing room. The design possibilities are endless, allowing individuals to personalize the space according to their preferences, making the walk-in closet not just a functional storage area but a stylish retreat where one can start and end the day with ease and sophistication.

While the beauty of this clients’ kitchen lies in its individuality, some key features run through various successful kitchen designs. Every essential feature satisfied both functional and ascetically pleasing needs of the client. Starting from a broken up home with its defined kitchen, dining room, informal living room and home bar, we reinvented the first floor into a flexible living space. This Transitional kitchen has an open-plan, featuring distinct zones for cooking, eating and lounging, an Island unit that penetrates into the dinning and bar zone creating a subtle boundary in the entire room. The principles of maximizing light and space combined with creating a generous amount of storage space and a balance of transparent, opaque and reflective materials guided the design of the new space. Granite countertops meeting marble tile backsplash wrapping around picture windows helped to bounce lights around the room. The off white cabinets with Burnt Sienna glazing, gave a warm contrast throughout the entire room, the show stopping glass large pendant lights over the island captured modern essence. Experience life in the heart of Paris Latin Quarter with this classic studio, 30 square meters apartment located on the 3rd floor of a secure residential building without an elevator. There is a flat screen TV and dining table and chairs that can double up as a home office space. We understand the importance of staying connected, which is why there is a high-speed Wi-Fi (1/Gbps) connection. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric tea kettle, sink, toaster, mini refrigerator, stove, drip coffee machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher and more. The kitchen also comes with all the cookware, dishes and utensils needed to prepare meals at home. There is no clothes washing machine, but a laundromat is nearby. Cleaning supplies, a vacuum, broom and mop are also provided. The apartment is heated with individual electric radiators for heating. The sleeping area is street facing and furnished with a double sofa bed with a comfortable, quality mattress. All the necessary bedding and linens are provided and professionally laundered. This property can host up to 2 guests. The flat has one bathroom accessible via the hallway with a shower, toilet and sink.
