The old appliances were replaced with new stainless-steel appliances that provide better energy efficiency and modern features. The old countertops were replaced with new white granite countertops that are not only more durable but also add a touch of elegance to the kitchen and are easy to clean, heat-resistant, and provide ample workspace for cooking and entertaining. The old lighting was replaced with new lighting fixtures that are strategically placed to highlight the kitchen's focal points and create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The new backsplash was installed using tiles that add a pop of color and texture to the kitchen and it is not only stylish but also practical, as it protects the walls from moisture and stains. The island was redesigned that provides additional workspace and storage. The “Before” Laundry Room was an eye sore with a huge inefficient furnace with no storage for laundry/cleaning supplies and pet food. It sadly lacked any counter space for sorting or folding clothes.RoomAntics got a hold of the disjointed space and designed a plan to have the furnace relocated. We also replaced the old furnace with a more efficient model. Our design plan incorporated space from the adjoining garage to create a small utility room so we could enclose the furnace and get it out of the laundry room. Next we tackled the space left behind starting fresh making use of every inch of space. With fresh white cabinets, graphite appliances, new counters, tile, grey glazed porcelain backsplash and pops of red, we created a welcoming, pretty, and functional space for laundry as well as feeding and corralling the client’s three dogs!

Big changes at this Wayne Pa kitchen remodel. This homes original kitchen was tight and poorly designed for the space. We removed a wall between the kitchen and an adjoining sitting room as well as a ton of inefficient framed pantries and closets to open up the space. We installed a new 7 ½’ window overlooking the backyard patio and pool as well as bringing great natural light into the space. With a family of 5 this customer needed lots of storage and fridge space. We designed the new kitchen with this in mind. The Fabuwood cabinetry in the Galaxy Frost door style gives this kitchen a clean bright feel and all the pantries and 2 fridges give the customer all the storage they could dream of. The flooring was replaced throughout the first floor and kitchen with kid and lifestyle friendly Coretec waterproof luxury vinyl which will hold up to plenty of wet feet from the backyard pool. The steel grey granite with a leathered finish has a smooth textured feel and coordinates well with the flooring and other finishes. The tile backsplash was installed in a herring bone pattern adds to this awesome new look. Everything was expertly installed by lead carpenters Steve McHenry and Rick Morro. French manor styling was the result of the client's love of all things French, down to the chandelier found in a little shop in Paris. The focus on a serious working kitchen required plenty of attention to detail while layering on the opulence. It's really a French pastry. The teak butcher block island top provides a lifetime of food preparation. Not able to find a hood with the right proportions Simmons & Co. designed a custom stainless hood with the correct gentle curve. Authentic French hardware was plated in pewter to soften the hardware's impact. Generous pantry storage and the oven wall replaced an inefficient walk in pantry. A dust bin access to the central vacuum system is tucked into the toe kick under the pantry and an emphasis was placed on the toe kick designs to eliminate the typical awkward appliance toe kick resolutions. Note the paneled dishwasher door to the right and left of the sink. When closed, the dishwasher disappears entirely. For those chilly winter mornings in Lake Sherwood an authentic English coal fire basket adding both beauty and function with the tile selection and color coordination completing the "Interior Hardscape". The chandelier is symbolic of the fun we all had working with a client whose shining spirit and creativity guided our goal of "doing the right thing" at each and every a decision. They wanted a home that was in-keeping with the Kirkwood neighborhood and reflected some of the same architectural elements/feel of the old home and others in the Kirkwood neighborhood. A dramatic transformation from a small dark kitchen to bright open concept kitchen and living space. The original kitchen was closed off, by knocking down a wall we were able to create a more open kitchen with an a-symmetrical island with plenty of seating. The most unique feature of this kitchen is the hood that's recessed in a sofit over the island. Cooking in the island can present a ventilation problem. Down draft ranges are inefficient and a hood that hangs from the ceiling can be an eye sore. This solution lets the hood blend in with the ceiling and gets it out of the way.

A previous client (Big Wood Lane) reached out to us to help design a remodel of a recently purchased on the south shore of Lake Minnetonka. The home had grown organically since its original construction in 1945. It had evolved over time to accommodate the needs of its numerous owners. Our client brought a new set of needs to the home that included a desire to make the lake home a comfortable destination for family and friends. The project consisted of reconfiguring an outdated, inefficient kitchen, expansion of the bedroom wing to include individual bathrooms for bedrooms and redesign of the central stair guard rail. The redesign of the kitchen included repositioning major appliances for greater efficiency, more seating at an enlarged island, a new pantry, and expanded views to the lake. The expansion of the bedroom wing included eliminating a three-season porch on top of the garage on the inland side of the home. The space above the garage roof was enclosed and turned into dedicated bathrooms for each bedroom. These bathrooms are accessible only from the bathrooms which provide privacy and convenience to visitors.
