This elegant roofing project installed in Bellevue, Washington started its life with a cedar shake shingle roof, a common roof in the Pacific Northwest especially if it’s a house like this in the woods. The roof looks good until it leaks and this one had leaks. The leaks created wood damage. During the tear-off, Three Tree Roofing had carpenters come in to help the roofing crew with wood repairs and some needed paint repairs. After the repairs were complete, the roofing crew installed plywood over the entire rooftop and built the roof with underlayment and perimeter metals. We replaced all the skylights as well with brand-new energy-efficient argon gas-filled double pane skylights. Most importantly, in the wintertime, argon gas-injected glass panes help keep the heat in, and in the summertime, they help keep the heat out. Game On is a lower level entertainment space designed for a large family. We focused on casual comfort with an injection of spunk for a lounge-like environment filled with fun and function. Architectural interest was added with our custom feature wall of herringbone wood paneling, wrapped beams and navy grasscloth lined bookshelves flanking an Ann Sacks marble mosaic fireplace surround. Blues and greens were contrasted with stark black and white. A touch of modern conversation, dining, game playing, and media lounge zones allow for a crowd to mingle with ease. With a walk out covered terrace, full kitchen, and blackout drapery for movie night, why leave home?

This kitchen remodel was a complete transformation, taken down to the studs to allow for a bold redesign that blends functionality with striking mid-century modern style. Every surface and element was refreshed to bring new life to this previously traditional space. We installed all-new custom cabinetry and high-performance appliances, tailored to modern cooking and entertaining needs. The floors were upgraded with warm-toned hardwood throughout the main areas, and a stunning handmade tile from Fireclay was selected for the kitchen—adding rich texture, craftsmanship, and personality. The green tile backsplash serves as a dramatic focal point, accented by vibrant pops of yellow in the light fixtures that inject energy and playfulness into the design. A new back door was also installed, allowing significantly more natural light to flood into the space. This renovation showcases how thoughtful material selection and bold color choices can completely reimagine a space. The finished kitchen is a confident shift from traditional to a fresh, mid-century modern aesthetic—inviting, functional, and full of character.

The open plan kitchen flows perfectly with the open plan living and dining areas at our Harold Ashwell project. We brought this once dull kitchen to life by injecting a punch of moody charcoal blue in the joinery which is offset by the freshness of the white counter tops. A very important aspect of any kitchen is a fully functional workspace and Cheryl designed a brand new island that encompasses all of that and more. The counter top has a marbled vein and waterfall sides to the floor on either side that wraps up and over the island seamlessly. Seating at the island is ideal for the children to sit at and be a part of the cooking process, as well as to have breakfast or a snack. The black kitchen stools are modern and gives a nod to the other pops of black in this open living space. The pendant lights add warmth and works well with the dining pendants that are in the same area. The touch tip integrated fridge/freezer and wine cooler forms part of the joinery and creates a seamless, stylish look. Carefully selected objet, crockery, appliances and décor makes this kitchen unique to the family who will use it. Cheryl made sure that the kitchen is strikingly beautiful and fits into the style and look of the rest of the living areas, whilst ensuring optimum functionality.

With its decorative mouldings and traditional influences throughout the home, this renovation is a classic take on modernism. Approaching the gates to the property, rich red brick surrounds a beautiful traditional white lacquered timber door with lead lite coloured panels on either side. Entering into the home, deep jarrah planked timber floors lead the way through to the kitchen and living areas. The kitchen was small for my client who loved to cook as well as her daughter’s love for baking, needing a re- configure of the space to allow the kitchen to flow and function between the existing kitchen and small meals room. Outdated cabinetry made their home look tired and needed a fresh take on the newly architecturally extended home. Traditional pairings of fresh whites, marbles and glass are delicately detailed within the design, modernising the homes interior. Lacquered chalky slabbed fronts surrounded by marbled benches and splashbacks, the introduction of curves to the isolated hood and island centre piece and depth injected with deep navy to create a monochrome palette. Warmth is then allowed in by brass hardware, reeded glass, a play on texture with tiles and warmly lit surfaces. Now a cook’s kitchen.

The transformation of the primary closet into a daily luxury experience stands out, too. We designed it to highlight every item, from the most delicate sweaters to the most refined suits, giving the feel of a private boutique. And for the beloved pets of the family, we introduced a charming addition—a doggy shower in the revamped laundry room. This delightful feature simplifies pet care and injects a dose of happiness into the home. The butler’s pantry has also received a makeover, turning it into a stunning and practical area for meal preparation.
