The designer instills a dramatic, moody and deeply textured aesthetic in the kitchen space. The walnut wood combined with dark and moody tones, creates an intimate ambiance making this large open space feel grounded, stable, and welcoming. Layered lighting from natural light and track lighting, along with integrated high-end appliances, adds to the striking beauty.
The kitchen exudes warmth and elegance characterized by the luxurious Topos Walnut wood cabinets with their rich color and naturally smooth grain. The walnut palette, combined with the textured dark grey Kiruna cabinets and the marble-like Laurent stone—which showcases a deep brown hue with integrated gold and copper veining—creates a powerful and beautiful atmosphere.
The design is a highly organized layout that focuses on the homeowner’s every day and entertaining lifestyle, emphasizing functionality, efficiency, and streamlined aesthetics.
The back kitchen/butler pantry area was designed to help keep the main kitchen clean and organized. Bulk cooking will take place in the back kitchen area, which has a full suite of appliances. The pantry is accessible yet hidden from the main kitchen via a passage door concealed within the main kitchen.
The downstairs bar area has a sink, dishwasher, beverage fridge and drawer microwave. Designed for easy functionality, it offers ample counter space for small appliances like a juicer, blender, or tea kettle, allowing for refreshment after using the adjacent home gym.

Furniture RowOur designer details her inspiration for the Dream Home Primary Bedroom: "In the primary bedroom, I started off with the Sandstone Upholstered Bed because it was just such an easy fit. Its headboard has these great contemporary lines and upholstered channel inserts, and the whole thing is finished in this beautiful tan-brown color that just looks great with the rustic elements of the home. Once I had decided on the Sandstone Group, I added the gray Serene Coverlet Set and Granada Rug to instill a touch of contemporary contrast, then I paired those with the Glenda Table Lamp to round out the earthy color palette. Lastly, I added in a gorgeous accent ladder from the new South Platte furniture collection that you can find in some of our local stores, and I placed the Palm Beige art pieces above the bed because their light frames work great with the Sandstone’s finish - plus they add in some more natural, outdoorsy appeal.”

Archadeck of West Central and Southwest OhioThis Hamilton County, OH, resident had a deck on the second living level of their home, which had access from the ground via steps. Obviously, to instill a sense of security in the home, it was necessary to eliminate those steps, and as such, access from the ground level. We built an expansive second-story Campfire Armadillo synthetic deck, completely enclosed by TimberTech RadianceRail railings. Both of these synthetic outdoor living building products will provide for the low-maintenance requests of the homeowner, which is a win-win!

The divergent char colors of this shou sugi ban inspired product instills a stunning contrastive aesthetic that flows naturally with the beauty that surrounds it. The line between inside and outside is ambiguous, allowing a cozy inside feel while surrounded by a striking mountainscape.
J.S. Miller ArchitectureThis colonial revival was constructed by a young developer in the 1990s – and it showed. The owners, for whom it was built, had included some lovely ornamental details, and the basic façade organization was pleasing, but it needed work to instill the charm that we love of the early 20th century original colonial revival style. We decided to overhaul the exterior. High-quality materials were used to last a lifetime, and fine detailing was added where it was missing. Hard-working efficient windows and doors were installed, and the desirable existing elements were salvaged, repaired as required, and replaced where better versions were available. Custom detailing was added to highlight special features, and to keep within budget, some elements were reworked rather than replaced. With fresh life breathed into it and a brilliant new hue, this colonial revival shines as brightly as any of its forebears.

Gilmans Kitchens and BathsRemodeled Foster City home. We widened the kitchen by moving the patio door down. The client was looking to bring light and a more natural look into a very dark and painted kitchen. The wall behind the sink was opened up to create a large window for natural light. We also added under-cabinet, inner-cabinet, and pendant lighting to make evening entertaining easier. Gilmans assisted the client in finding a light wood and stain to instill an earthier feel. This feel was then extended into the backsplash to add texture to the kitchen.
We have recycle, lazy susan and lots of drawers for ease of storage.
The Cabinets are Dura Supreme Craftsman Cherry with Wheat stain.
The powder room is Dura Supreme Textured thermofoil in Urbana Horizontal grain. The color is Caviar.
