Elevating a dated spa to reflect today’s style was both invigorating and zen-like. Our clients wanted a space where people could escape from their day-to-day, whether treating themselves to a relaxing full-body massage in a private treatment room or planning a pedi/mani night with their peeps. Calming colours of sea-blue and off-white surround the space and rift-cut white oak accent walls and trims pull the space together. The waiting room and pedicure area are clad in wallpaper with a Gingko leaf pattern and both have custom-made white oak benches with sea-foam blue vinyl seating; complete with phone chargers and cupholders, no detail was overlooked. The spa also has its own salon where guests staying at nearby hotels can book an appointment to get their hair and make-up done for an evening out. The custom slat walls behind the reception desk hide extra storage keeping the area streamlined and clutter-free. Thoughtful that every client will have a memorable experience the overall renovation was planned with luxurious relaxation in mind.

The master bathroom remodel is a breathtaking transformation of a traditional bathroom into a luxurious, modern sanctuary. Neutral-colored tiles are used throughout the space, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
One of the key features of the design is the curbless shower, which offers easy access and adds to the sleek, contemporary aesthetic of the space. The shower is complemented by a freestanding tub, which invites users to relax and soak in comfort.
The dark wood modern floating vanity with a tower provides ample storage space while adding a touch of elegance to the space. The vanity's streamlined design is perfectly suited to the overall contemporary aesthetic of the bathroom.
The lighting design of the remodel is carefully considered, with a statement lighting fixture and sleek vanity lighting creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The overall effect is a space that feels both cozy and luxurious.
This bathroom remodel is perfect for anyone who wants to create a spa-like experience in their own home. The combination of contemporary design elements and warm, neutral colors creates a space that is both calming and invigorating. It is a perfect haven for relaxation and rejuvenation after a long day.

A Mercer Island couple wanted to transform their yard from mushy lawn into a more usable, beach-like space. We added new concrete pads to connect the stairs to the waterfront complete with salvaged, cedar logs around a deconstructed wood-burning firepit, invigorating the space and creating a place to relax and entertain right on the water. Closer to the house, an ipe deck built around a new Paloform gas firepit created a new outdoor room for enjoying endless summer evenings. LED landscape lighting completes the improvements.

The Arts & Crafts Movement encompasses the work of the Greene Brothers, Gustav Stickley, and notably, the genius of Rene Mackintosh and his wife, M. McDonald. Their art informed and invigorated the spiritual and contemplative aspects of the movement.
For this design our client imposed no boundaries on the project, except that the room serve as both library and guest room. The existing fireplace, squeezed into a corner, posed an initial challenge, but now appears well intended for the space.
Warm butternut was used to soften the room. Organic details appoint the bookcase columns and the surrounding passages of paneling. Windows were framed with angled panels, and sills were deepened to invite a relaxed view of the yard. The bed is tucked in its own niche, limiting its intrusion upon the room’s other uses.
Multi-function rooms require deft design, and exceptional craftsmanship. The art of renowned glass artisan, Wayne Cain, contributed masterfully to this room’s appeal. Design and detail are hallmarks of the craftsmanship from Jaeger and Ernst.

Wellness in Universal Design
This newly remodeled primary bedroom and bath, tagged as #augustflora is up and ready to share with all individuals who love seeing a completed project from start to finish in just a few short months.
Initially my client provided me with a magazine image and fabric sample as an inspiration to set the tone of their remodel. Through collaborative efforts, we uncovered the ultimate vision which cultivates a sense of wellness, and invigorates the senses, all in keeping with universal design. Together we succeeded in designing a stunning yet serene space for the owners to enjoy each morning as they arise and every evening as they unwind from their busy days at the office.
As you'll notice, the original spaces were outdated, tired, and in desperate need of a modified and improved design in addition to addressing areas of "slippery when wet" in specific zones. Beautiful but practical materials were carefully selected for non-slip areas and easier maintenance, all while ensuring a safer place to comfortably age in place.
My clients are enjoying their revitalized space, liberated from any concerns about the risk of injury while preparing for the day. This makeover isn't just practical; it's also stunningly beautiful.
