While KSI designers typically work directly with homeowners on their kitchen and bath design projects, we also love partnering with interior designers - and they love partnering with us! We make it easy for interior designers to create beautiful and functional spaces for their clients by offering our cabinetry knowledge and design expertise to compliment their skillset. When Interior Designer Shannon Lawrason came to KSI to select cabinetry for her new build home, I knew our collaboration would result in a truly breathtaking kitchen! As a client and an Interior Designer, Shannon had a vision from the beginning: Timeless beauty with a touch of classic elements. Everything involved in the mixture of textures – hardware selection, tile selections, marble, cabinetry materials – was fundamental to the execution of the design intent.

Photo Credit: Willett Photography http://www.willettphoto.com The home is located in Atlanta, GA and was a complete ground up project. We worked with the very talented architect Rodolfo Castro. We worked closely with him and the clients to achieve the right interior layout as well as the furniture plan. As far as the interior design, we helped with the selections of the various finishes (flooring, bathroom tiles, paint colors for both interior and exterior, hardware, furniture and light fixtures). Working with great vendors such as Francois & Co. for the kitchen hood and the fireplace, Specialty Tile, Circa Lighting, Century Furniture, and many other wonderful local vendors. This helped us achieve the perfect atmosphere and architectural detail in the space. The clients were very involved in the selection process and so it helped that they had great taste! It was a great project from concept to the finished design.

Redesigning the layout of this master bathroom involved taking out the unused whirlpool tub and adding in a luxurious custom tile shower. The toilet was moved to the opposite side of the bathroom allowing for some privacy behind the shower wall and providing space for a wider vanity. We worked with this client to select the materials and colors and we were on site during construction to answer any questions and offer suggestions for the finishing details. Now everyone in the family wants to use this shower.

We were involved in every step of this project - from demolition, through the full renovation, and finally staging and showcasing for its market debut Open House. Each element was carefully selected, to create a warm and welcoming home, that a new younger family would love. Photo Credit: Arnal Photography
