Minimalist hardware was selected to keep the cabinet fronts clean and clear. The tabs are installed at the top of the drawer or door and gives the homeowner an easy pull to open the cabinet. The tab hardware is perfect for the visual affect because they disappear from view as you look into the kitchen. It really makes the cabinetry the center of everyone's attention.

From the table facing the pantry, another Houzz idea -- go 12" deep so you can keep tabs on inventory better. Love it! I also found the chandelier on Houzz. We got the matching foyer fixture, but it's hard to see in this shot. You may be able to make out the sign in the transom: "The Beech House," my husband's christening of our new home in a stand of beeches. The garage is open, lighting up the mudroom.

We prefer to call this room the "Keeping Room ", it's the multi-use room attached to the kitchen, complete with a fireplace for coziness and warmth. It's an old fashion concept with a modern day comfort, and that's exactly how we used the decor and and hung the drapes in this room.
