Understated clean lines come together with rustic accents inspired by historic rural homes. Using simple Middleton flat panel doors throughout allows the three finishes to take center stage. Shiplap is a key element of Farmhouse styling—add texture and detail to your design with a shiplap panel, now available in strips as well as prearranged panels for hoods, bookcases, end panels and more. The concept of the interior is built on a holistic approach to design solutions. Zoning is achieved by an island layout of objects: a wardrobe in the hallway, a kitchen table and a dresser in the bedroom. The key elements of each room, such as the kitchen island, dresser in the dressing room and the case in the bathroom, are made of light wood. Also, light gray curtains accentuate the texture (not the colors) on the wall background.

The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. Several key elements are emphasized by walnut wood, such as the island cabinets, the veneers and the amazing wine cellar, which instantly attracts attention. Speaking of eye-catchers, you’ve undoubtedly noticed the unique black matte polymer materials that cover some of the kitchen cabinets. Our designers have gone a step further and chosen to add the TIP-ON touch latch technology to cabinet doors and drawers in order to remove any handles and to make opening and closing easy.

The owners of this 1980’s built-home wanted to create a completely new look for their outdated master bath and turned to Renovisions for design and build services. Having perused Renovisions website, they were confident they made the right choice to help them transform their ordinary space into something truly extraordinary. The design team created several configurations for the homeowners review until they nailed down one particular design that would create that wow factor. The main challenges were creating an open, spacious feel and maximizing natural light and ventilation with plenty of storage and customizations. The addition of a second window allows ample light into the space throughout the day along with the recessed and sconce lights which were perfectly placed. Storage, which was a key element of this design, includes two separate vanity cabinets (his and hers) with plenty of space for needed toiletries, a matching framed medicine cabinet for her and a custom built cubby for him. Built on site was a linen closet with both roll out and stationary shelves for towels and shower supplies. The spacious walk-in, all tiled shower boasts ‘no door’ access with lineal drain, traditional fixed and hand-held shower heads and a rounded shower seat. Polished black granite was used inside the cubby and topping both the threshold and seat creating a nice contrast to and tying in with the floor. The decorative grab bar ensures safety for these homeowners while showering. The heated floors added throughout the bath take the edge off when stepping out of the warm shower and are conveniently operated by a 24 hour programmable thermostat. Classic white subway tile and chair rail trims adorne all walls and tie in nicely to each vanity station. Carrera look quartz was the perfect choice for countertops creating a clean fresh look. Stunning marble basket-weave mosaic floor tile set the stage in this exquisite bath as the beautiful white painted cabinetry softened the overall feel of the space. These homeowners are not saving spa retreats for once-a-year vacations anymore, they now enjoy a relaxing spa-like shower experience every day in their own home!

Located in the historic Central Gardens neighborhood in Memphis, the project sought to revive the outdoor space of a 1920’s traditional home with a new pool, screened porch and garden design. After renovating the 1920’s kitchen, the client sought to improve their outdoor space. The first step was replacing the existing kidney pool with a smaller pool more suited to the charm of the site. With careful insertion of key elements the design creates spaces which accommodate, swimming, lounging, entertaining, gardening, cooking and more. “Strong, organized geometry makes all of this work and creates a simple and relaxing environment,” Designer Jeff Edwards explains. “Our detailing takes on updated freshness, so there is a distinction between new and old, but both reside harmoniously.” The screened porch actually has some modern detailing that compliments the previous kitchen renovation, but the proportions in materiality are very complimentary to the original architecture from the 1920s. The screened porch opens out onto a small outdoor terrace that then flows down into the backyard and overlooks a small pool.

Gray is the new white in this custom kitchen in Sandwich MA. Gail O'Rourke of White Wood Kitchens executed this design in a new home built by RW Anderson and Sons Custom Builders.
