Inspiration for a small eclectic galley concrete floor, gray floor and shiplap ceiling eat-in kitchen remodel in Houston with flat-panel cabinets, solid surface countertops, an island, an undermount sink, black cabinets and stainless steel appliances

Industrial transitional English style kitchen. The addition and remodeling were designed to keep the outdoors inside. Replaced the uppers and prioritized windows connected to key parts of the backyard and having open shelvings with walnut and brass details. Custom dark cabinets made locally. Designed to maximize the storage and performance of a growing family and host big gatherings. The large island was a key goal of the homeowners with the abundant seating and the custom booth opposite to the range area. The booth was custom built to match the client's favorite dinner spot. In addition, we created a more New England style mudroom in connection with the patio. And also a full pantry with a coffee station and pocket doors.

Balancing modern architectural elements with traditional Edwardian features was a key component of the complete renovation of this San Francisco residence. Upon entering the house, guests are greeted by a wonderful polished concrete floor that was custom colored to resemble beach sand. Down the hallway is a Gabbeh rug runner, handwoven and hand-dyed in a natural wool. Ship lap invites you up the stairwell, while a large painting by a local artist reflects the colors of the rug. The mirror on the right is an eclectic paint brush mirror purchased in Key West to add whimsy to the house.

Exposed brick, beams and pipes = a high end gorgeous kitchen made for entertaining. This well designed combination of classic cabinetry with flat panels and sparkling porcelain subway tile plays well with the demilune island that is wrapped with diamond plate stainless steel. Lightly veined granite counter tops soften and reflect light so that black becomes the key to this a modern beauty which is elegant and industrial - practical yet cool.
