A bright, white kitchen features predominantly white cabinets, a white subway tile backsplash, and white window treatments with a floral pattern, creating a clean and airy atmosphere. The space centers around a large island topped with a dark gray/black granite countertop, adorned with glasses, pitchers, a fruit bowl with apples, a pie, small plates of cookies, and wrapped pastries. Two decorative light gray/silver pendant lights hang above the island, while two dark brown wooden bar stools with light beige/gray striped tufted upholstery complement the island’s design. A stainless-steel range with several burners is positioned centrally under a hood, enhancing the kitchen's modern functionality. Natural light floods the room through the windows, near which several plants, including a vase of sunflowers, add a vibrant touch. The overall neutral and warm color palette is balanced by light gray/silver tones and the cozy addition of various kitchen accessories.

I worked with the clients on this custom built home from the ground up. I sat down with them and asked them many questions so that I could capture their style and provide them with a beautiful environment that is uniquely their own. The client wanted a mostly French feel but wanted to mix in antiques and other interesting items they had collected. They also wanted a warm feel with plenty of color. They liked pattern and texture. I used warm colors like gold and red including deep red walls in the kitchen and dining room. I designed the interior architecture to create the drama they wanted. We used softer more serene feeling in the master bedroom. The client wanted unique details like the niche I designed to accommodate the maestro, the acid washed marble floor and the mixture of antique art within the decor. I put together a book for the client and also the builder that showed all the details and selections, which included architectural design, flooring, paint color, paint treatments, lighting, cabinet design, plumbing fixtures, counter tops, hardware, furniture, draperies, custom rugs, accessories and artwork. The end result was a very happy client and the home was picked for a home show.

AFTER - KITCHEN, changed out the knobs and drawer pulls, added light accessories to warm up this vacant condo for MLS photo purposes and for open house.

Both the dishwasher and microwave have been installed into the corner of this Vestabul kitchen design. The upper cabinetry are extra deep because of the layout allowing the homeowners large entertaining tableware to be stored here. By raising the dishwasher the appliance is accessible to all members of the family including the 6'3" teenage son!

When the design for this kitchen evolved to include installing the range in the corner a warming counter was placed behind it. By adding heat lamps into the void behind the hood the cook can now prepare food and place it there to keep warm before serving.
