The client was recently widowed and had been wanting to remodel her kitchen for a long time. Although the floor plan of the space remained the same, the kitchen received a major makeover in terms of aesthetic and function to fit the style and needs of the client and her small dog in this water front residence. The peninsula was brought down in height to achieve a more spacious and inviting feel into the living space and patio facing the water. Shades of gray were used to veer away from the all white kitchen and adding a dark gray entertainment unit really added drama to the space. Before renovating, this bright and airy family kitchen was small, cramped and dark. The dining room was being used for spillover storage, and there was hardly room for two cooks in the kitchen. By knocking out the wall separating the two rooms, we created a large kitchen space with plenty of storage, space for cooking and baking, and a gathering table for kids and family friends. The dark navy blue cabinets set apart the area for baking, with a deep, bright counter for cooling racks, a tiled niche for the mixer, and pantries dedicated to baking supplies. The space next to the beverage center was used to create a beautiful eat-in dining area with an over-sized pendant and provided a stunning focal point visible from the front entry. Our homeowners needed an update to their existing kitchen. We removed a prep sink from a large peninsula and redesigned that area to include an eat at table top. New quartz countertops (Raphael) give this kitchen a brighter more modern feel. All cabinetry was refinished during this update. Removing a cabinet that housed a bulky microwave, allowed for floating shelves and gives a more modern style to the kitchen overall.

Our clients desired an organic and airy look for their kitchen and living room areas. Our team began by painting the entire home a creamy white and installing all new white oak floors throughout. The former dark wood kitchen cabinets were removed to make room for the new light wood and white kitchen. The clients originally requested an "all white" kitchen, but the designer suggested bringing in light wood accents to give the kitchen some additional contrast. The wood ceiling cloud helps to anchor the space and echoes the new wood ceiling beams in the adjacent living area. To further incorporate the wood into the design, the designer framed each cabinetry wall with white oak "frames" that coordinate with the wood flooring. Woven barstools, textural throw pillows and olive trees complete the organic look. The original large fireplace stones were replaced with a linear ripple effect stone tile to add modern texture. Cozy accents and a few additional furniture pieces were added to the clients existing sectional sofa and chairs to round out the casually sophisticated space.

Our client wanted to renovate their kitchen but not remove their cabinetry. We designed the kitchen to include new flooring, painted their cabinets and added a gray glaze. We installed new counter top, back splash, added lighting and new furniture. The home is for a hard working family with a number of dogs so it had to be easy to clean.

A need for extra counter space and fine wine service, creates a ‘JEWEL’ of a kitchen! As the artful anchor, the Emerald Glacier quartzite includes many shades of lush green, grey and red. Complimentary colors of natural cherry cabinets, warm walnut floors and surrounding Willow glass backsplash support the vibrant, playful colors creating an enhanced multifunctional space.
