The home owner’s of this 90’s home came to us looking for an updated kitchen design and furniture for the family room, living room, dining room and study. What they got was an overall tweaking of the entire first floor. Small changes to the architecture and trim details made a large impact on the overall feel of the individual spaces in an open floorplan space. We then layered on all new lighting, wall and window treatments, furniture, accessories and art to create a warm and beautiful home for a young, growing family.Photo by Tom Grimes

We designed a “tree house” suspended above the ground on glued-laminated timber columns supporting two stories, forty feet above the forest floor. Suquamish means “place of clear water”. The care of the land that drove this residence included simple strategies for capturing rain and percolating storm water, minimal excavation and removal of soils, low-impact concrete foundations, and a light structure that captures views of the forest, water, and a distant Seattle skyline to the east.

This contemporary kitchen features custom stone countertops by Milano Granite, highlighted by a bold black waterfall island that anchors the space. The contrast between the dark stone and warm wood cabinetry creates a clean, modern aesthetic with strong visual impact.
Precision fabrication and seamless installation ensure sharp edges, perfect lines, and a durable surface built for everyday use. The oversized island adds both function and style—ideal for entertaining, dining, and gathering.
Designed with an open-concept layout, this space blends luxury finishes with practical living, making the countertops the true focal point of the home.

This project focused on reimagining the kitchen and powder bath, bringing both spaces into something far more timeless. In the kitchen, we reworked the layout to improve flow and maximize storage, creating a space that feels both elevated and highly functional. A softly curved island anchors the room and was designed to encourage gathering while adding a sense of ease at the heart of the home.
A modern coastal palette guided the design, with layered blues adding depth while keeping the overall feel light, fresh, and enduring.
In the powder bath, we leaned into a more old world sensibility, introducing classic wallpaper and tailored millwork to create a space that feels collected, cohesive, and quietly impactful.
The result is a home that feels thoughtfully updated, honoring its past while fully embracing the way it is meant to be lived in today.

Soil Impact is often overlooked and determines the health of the environment. Feeding the soil will insure the soil will feed the plants with what they need.

Cookbooks. A place for my clients much loved books was high on the list of reccommendations for thier family‘s new kitchen design. Not being able to part from any, my client needed a dedicated space for them to display amongst the design. The existing formal closed loving at the front of the home, entered into a separate compact kitchen and dining were to be transformed into an open, free flowing interior not disrupted by walls but somewhere the whole family were able to gather.
A soft palette layered with fresh whites, large slabs of clouded concrete benches, planked Jarrah timber floors finished with solid timber Blackbutt accents allow for seamless integration into the home‘s interior. Cabinetry compliments the expansive length of the kitchen, whilst the simplicity of design provides impact to the home.
