Our home office design embodies our core values, providing an ideal canvas to showcase our distinctive design love language, fusing modern aesthetics with Japandi, pastoral, and biophilic influences to create spaces that feel inspiring, familiar and uplifting. We set out to showcase how a small bedroom can be successfully converted into a home office/guest bedroom. The home office has become a paramount requirement in every home we design, The design blends clean lines, natural materials, and a serene ambiance for a creative workspace. We incorporated sleek furniture, neutral tones, and subtle nods to modern, pastoral and Japanese aesthetics for a harmonious ​ We elevated each space, from the sophisticated walk-in closet with striking black wallcoverings and pristine white shelving, to the tranquil guest bathroom imbued with Japandi Zen influences. Clean lines, natural materials, and subtle nods to Japanese aesthetics converge, creating harmonious retreats tailored to modern living.

Set on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, Georgia, this rustic modern farmhouse sits close enough to the shoreline that a private dock runs straight off the back yard, with the Blue Ridge visible across the water. A tin-gray metal roof breaks into multiple gables and dormers over crisp white board-and-batten siding, while wood-tone shutters and a flagstone entry path bring in the rustic warmth. A full-width covered porch — deep enough for a run of rocking chairs — opens directly onto the lake and mountain view. Inside, the great room carries that same rustic-farmhouse language up to a vaulted, shiplap-clad ceiling crossed with exposed wood beams. A reclaimed sliding barn door anchors one end of the room, while a wall of glass doors keeps the water in view from the sofa.

The search for equilibrium between design and comfort is the key element to a great project. The concept of Artika reworks its shapes to live within the space with harmony and simplicity. By doing so, it adopts a universal language; the intimacy of the family.

This extraordinary home was so much fun to design. We have previously worked on three of our client’s homes and by now, we spoke the same design language resulting in conversations, ideas, and decisions that came easy. The colorful outdoors surrounding this Intracoastal residence inspired our choices throughout the design. Bold deep blues live harmoniously beside aquas, pinks, and soft metallics expressed in large artworks, dramatic art glass, and luxuriously upholstered chairs. The monochromatic master bedroom, however, is a study in textures. Soft taupe-hued furnishings appear to float on a luxurious cloud of creamy white achieved with a wall-to-wall fur rug while a bold oversized chandelier made of a single ring of clear blown glass illuminates and sparkles against two large and dramatic beveled mirrors. Translucent lucite lamps and the room’s generous nightstand’s chrome legs round out this elegant bedroom’s glamorous finishes. Implementing innovative use of secondary spaces including the home’s hallways, walkthrough, and closets, we cleverly installed a floor-to-ceiling illuminated wine cellar that is as much a design element as it is a lifestyle feature for our client’s extensive wine collection. An extra-wide, low, narrow blue flame glass wall fire feature is unexpected and holds its own underneath bold oversized artwork. The home’s two expansive outdoor living spaces are designed for entertaining with generously furnished spaces for cooking and dining or just lounging poolside with your favorite people while enjoying the beautiful vistas that make this luxury home a dreamy one.

For a family putting down lasting roots in Park City, this 10,000-square-foot estate within the gated enclave of Quarry Mountain Ranch is conceived as both sanctuary and legacy. Designed to evolve alongside its owners, the home balances permanence with a deep sensitivity to the land it inhabits. Thoughtfully positioned within an alpine meadow shaped by the gentle flow of McLeod Creek, the residence embraces its setting. The waterway threads through the property, sustaining native grasses and drawing elk, deer, and migratory birdlife, grounding daily life in the rhythms of season and landscape. Broad planes of glass and sheltering rooflines frame uninterrupted views of ski slopes and distant ridgelines, while long sightlines pull natural light deep into the interior. Terraces and covered outdoor rooms mediate between house and meadow, creating spaces for gathering, reflection, and year-round connection to the outdoors. A restrained palette of wood and stone echoes the textures of the terrain, lending warmth and durability to the home’s contemporary expression. The clinic balances a bold yet restrained aesthetic, defined by clean lines, minimal detailing, and a stark, modern interior language. Natural light and views of surrounding trees introduce softness and relief within the otherwise precise environment. The result is a highly functional healthcare space shaped by clarity, calmness, and architectural restraint.

The main staircase pairs natural wood treads with sleek steel horizontal rods, creating clean lines. The black wood newels and handrail create striking contrast with the lighter details. Located on the front lines of a public beach walkway, this elegant artist residence layers public and private spaces in order to dynamically connect one’s lifestyle with the regenerative power of nature. The material language shifts between glass, oak, and stone as it explores concepts of porosity, translucence,and privacy. One of the home’s most notable elements is the strategic removal of living square footage to create a spa courtyard on the third level. Tucked away behind a terracotta screen and surrounded by lush vegetation on all sides, the spa acts as a private oasis in the heart of the home for reflection and reconnection. Despite rigid parameters, the home packs cutting edge engineering and design techniques into every centimeter of space. The result is a razor thin roof and floor plane delicately balanced atop massive stone walls. By reducing the density of these elements both above and below, the architecture is able to breathe and expand into its unobstructed views of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets.

A minimal insertion into a densely wooded landscape, the Collector’s Pavilion provides the owners with an 8,000 sf private fitness space and vintage automobile gallery. On a gently sloping site in amongst a grove of trees, the pavilion slides into the topography - mimicking and contrasting the surrounding landscape with a folded roof plane that hovers over a board formed concrete base. The clients’ requirement for a nearby room to display a growing car collection as well as provide a remote area for personal fitness carries with it a series of challenges related to privacy and security. The pavilion nestles into the wooded site - finding a home in a small clearing - and merges with the sloping landscape. The building has dual personalities, serving as a private and secure bunker from the exterior, while transforming into a warm and inviting space on the interior. The use of indirect light and the need to obscure direct views from the public right away provides the client with adequate day light for day-to-day use while ensuring that strict privacy is maintained. This shifting personality is also dramatically affected by the seasons - contrasting and merging with the surrounding environment depending on the time of year. The Collector’s Pavilion employs meticulous detailing of its concrete to steel to wood connections, exploring the grounded nature of poured concrete in conjunction with a delicate wood roof system that floats above a grid of steel. Above all, the Pavilion harmonizes with it’s natural surroundings through it’s materiality, formal language, and siting. This project is a refined expression of modern luxury, where thoughtful design meets effortless sophistication. Every element was meticulously curated to create a space that feels both elevated and inviting balancing clean architectural lines with rich textures and bespoke detailing. From the moment you enter, a cohesive design language unfolds. Layered neutrals, custom millwork, and carefully selected materials establish a sense of quiet opulence, while statement lighting and tailored furnishings introduce depth and visual intrigue. Each room was designed with intention, ensuring seamless flow while maintaining its own distinct identity. The living spaces prioritize comfort without compromising elegance, featuring plush seating, sculptural accents, and a harmonious blend of finishes. In the kitchen, form meets function through sleek cabinetry, premium surfaces, and integrated appliances creating a space that is as practical as it is striking. Attention to detail is evident throughout, from the precision of the craftsmanship to the balance of proportion and scale. The result is a home that feels curated yet livable, luxurious yet warm designed to stand the test of time.

The client’s brief was to create a space reminiscent of their beloved downtown Chicago industrial loft, in a rural farm setting, while incorporating their unique collection of vintage and architectural salvage. The result is a custom designed space that blends life on the farm with an industrial sensibility. The new house is located on approximately the same footprint as the original farm house on the property. Barely visible from the road due to the protection of conifer trees and a long driveway, the house sits on the edge of a field with views of the neighbouring 60 acre farm and creek that runs along the length of the property. The main level open living space is conceived as a transparent social hub for viewing the landscape. Large sliding glass doors create strong visual connections with an adjacent barn on one end and a mature black walnut tree on the other. The house is situated to optimize views, while at the same time protecting occupants from blazing summer sun and stiff winter winds. The wall to wall sliding doors on the south side of the main living space provide expansive views to the creek, and allow for breezes to flow throughout. The wrap around aluminum louvered sun shade tempers the sun. The subdued exterior material palette is defined by horizontal wood siding, standing seam metal roofing and large format polished concrete blocks. The interiors were driven by the owners’ desire to have a home that would properly feature their unique vintage collection, and yet have a modern open layout. Polished concrete floors and steel beams on the main level set the industrial tone and are paired with a stainless steel island counter top, backsplash and industrial range hood in the kitchen. An old drinking fountain is built-in to the mudroom millwork, carefully restored bi-parting doors frame the library entrance, and a vibrant antique stained glass panel is set into the foyer wall allowing diffused coloured light to spill into the hallway. Upstairs, refurbished claw foot tubs are situated to view the landscape. The double height library with mezzanine serves as a prominent feature and quiet retreat for the residents. The white oak millwork exquisitely displays the homeowners’ vast collection of books and manuscripts. The material palette is complemented by steel counter tops, stainless steel ladder hardware and matte black metal mezzanine guards. The stairs carry the same language, with white oak open risers and stainless steel woven wire mesh panels set into a matte black steel frame.
