Bringing the glass tile up to the ceiling creates a beautiful focal point in this fab kitchen. The owners chose a cleverly designed wall oven with side by side doors. While the convection microwave gives them the option of baking and roasting smaller items without using the full size oven.

Large white tile work organized in a subway pattern round out the period style, but with a decidedly modern edge. Making the shower large and curbless was a consideration with the future in mind. "We may need to be able to wheel in and out of there one day!" Stacy jokes. To the right of the shower, the wall opens up to reveal a concealed linen closet.

The kitchen of this home was a labor of love and everything was carefully planned and executed to ensure it was a work of art, in a sense. At the heart of it is the 10 foot wide by 4 foot deep White Oak island with plentiful room for 4 people to sit comfortably. They choose gray as the cabinet color, specifically Benjamin Moore Gray Owl. Pike wanted a color that wasn't too bold and would take away from the other elements of the space, but we also didn't want to just go with the easy choice, white. Gray cabinets are in trend right now and for good reason as we are sure many people go through that same logic we went through. The cabinetry was custom crafted in Charlotte and is all beaded inset. A cabinet front Thermador fridge can be found at the far right of this picture. Tying the whole space together is the mosaic backslash tile. The tile is visually stunning and brought all the color tones of the space into harmony. We designed this modern, cozy master bedroom to support the family's lifestyle. We installed a wall of 3D tile to house the new electric fireplace, television and components. We dropped a George Nelson Bubble Lamp on a dimmer switch above the bed for a modern touch. Many separate areas of this space keep company entertained- with an island for seating, a beverage station, and a T.V. for guests to be entertained (or the cook to watch that YouTube tutorial of their "secret" recipe).

This breathtaking kitchen was designed for entertaining. The large kitchen island is teak and features a Brittanicca Cambria countertop with a flawless waterfall edge. The 48" gas wolf range is practically a work of art framed by a modern stainless steel range hood and by the quartz panels that meld seamlessly with the wood paneling through out the great room. The modern white cabinets are punctuated with the use of built-in custom gold hardware. The vaulted ceilings create an airy and bright space which is complimented by the use of glass pendants above the bar.
