This large kitchen was desperately needing a refresh. It was far to traditional for the homeowners taste. Additionally, there was no direct path to the dining room as you needed to enter through a butlers pantry. I opened up two doorways into the kitchen from the dining room, which allowed natural light to flow in. The former butlers pantry was then sealed up and became part of the formerly to small pantry. The homeowners now have a 13' long walk through pantry, accessible from both the new bar area and the kitchen.

"Here are some more pictures of our kitchen with the mosaic installed. The tiles are beautiful and installed very well!
The kitchen was part of a large addition/remodel in which we removed a load bearing wall. The cabinets are natural cherry (which is oxidized beautifully) with “figured” panels, the countertops are black granite (called black galaxy) and the floor is natural maple (no stain, satin sealer). Appliances (except microwave) are Thermador. The only “wall” in the kitchen is the one with the mosaic backsplash on it.
The mosaic design was done over time (and with several samples) on the website’s design tool and was inspired by the Frank Lloyd Wright design of the Coonley Playhouse Windows.
We are super happy with how it came out and with the tile!!!!! Would recommend you folks to anyone!"

Built in 1896, the original site of the Baldwin Piano warehouse was transformed into several turn-of-the-century residential spaces in the heart of Downtown Denver. The building is the last remaining structure in Downtown Denver with a cast-iron facade. HouseHome was invited to take on a poorly designed loft and transform it into a luxury Airbnb rental. Since this building has such a dense history, it was our mission to bring the focus back onto the unique features, such as the original brick, large windows, and unique architecture.
Our client wanted the space to be transformed into a luxury, unique Airbnb for world travelers and tourists hoping to experience the history and art of the Denver scene. We went with a modern, clean-lined design with warm brick, moody black tones, and pops of green and white, all tied together with metal accents. The high-contrast black ceiling is the wow factor in this design, pushing the envelope to create a completely unique space. Other added elements in this loft are the modern, high-gloss kitchen cabinetry, the concrete tile backsplash, and the unique multi-use space in the Living Room. Truly a dream rental that perfectly encapsulates the trendy, historical personality of the Denver area.

2.5" x 6" Stainless Steel Subway Tiles in Herringbone Pattern. Both 3D Tiles and Flat Tiles are used to create this design. Design is absolutely STUNNING in person. Must see to appreciate. Premium Stainless Steel Tiles are handcrafted in USA at Stainless Steel Tile and can be purchased directly at StainlessSteelTile.com

If adding depth to a design while adding light is a goal of yours, take a tip from Clear Cut Construction. This modernized kitchen contains an Asian Statuary tile laid in a striking herringbone pattern. The natural appeal of stone broadens the space while the pattern movement keeps things interesting.

White shaker cabinets, topped with quartzite, are two of the elements that contribute to the coastal feel of this spacious kitchen. The backsplash was created with large, 4" X 12" subway tile, accented with horizontal stripes of glass tile, showing off the modern stainless hood.

A young family moving from NYC tackled a lightning fast makeover of their new colonial revival home before the arrival of their second child. The kitchen area was quite spacious but needed a facelift and new layout. Painted cabinetry matched to Benjamin Moore’s Light Pewter is balanced by grey glazed rift oak cabinetry on the island. Shiplap paneling on the island and cabinet lend a slightly contemporary edge. White bronze hardware by Schaub & Co. in a contemporary bar shape offer clean lines with some texture in a warm metallic tone.

Luxurious modern take on a traditional white Italian villa. An entry with a silver domed ceiling, painted moldings in patterns on the walls and mosaic marble flooring create a luxe foyer. Into the formal living room, cool polished Crema Marfil marble tiles contrast with honed carved limestone fireplaces throughout the home, including the outdoor loggia. Ceilings are coffered with white painted
crown moldings and beams, or planked, and the dining room has a mirrored ceiling. Bathrooms are white marble tiles and counters, with dark rich wood stains or white painted. The hallway leading into the master bedroom is designed with barrel vaulted ceilings and arched paneled wood stained doors. The master bath and vestibule floor is covered with a carpet of patterned mosaic marbles, and the interior doors to the large walk in master closets are made with leaded glass to let in the light. The master bedroom has dark walnut planked flooring, and a white painted fireplace surround with a white marble hearth.
The kitchen features white marbles and white ceramic tile backsplash, white painted cabinetry and a dark stained island with carved molding legs. Next to the kitchen, the bar in the family room has terra cotta colored marble on the backsplash and counter over dark walnut cabinets. Wrought iron staircase leading to the more modern media/family room upstairs.
