This home wine cellar Seattle is all about detail. At our client's request, we included custom carvings on the moldings, to stunning effect.
The carvings, the arch display, the mural, the glass cupboards, and mahogany racks all boast a rustic stain. The true-radius curved racking allows for a smooth transition from one wall to another.
On the left, you can see the glass cabinet with a Cathedral design. The right section has diamond bins, which are ideal for bulk storage.

First impressions are everything which is why we went above and beyond with this entryway. The beautifully built staircase is elegant and classic, which we complemented with the large, crystal chandelier. A plush area rug, table, and flowers provide a personal touch as well as the feeling of the home being lived in; A great place to display decor or place keys. Beauty and function were the two ingredients in this design!

We choose to highlight this project because even though it is a more traditional design style its light neutral color palette represents the beach lifestyle of the south bay. Our relationship with this family started when they attended one of our complimentary educational seminars to learn more about the design / build approach to remodeling. They had been working with an architect and were having trouble getting their vision to translate to the plans. They were looking to add on to their south Redondo home in a manner that would allow for seamless transition between their indoor and outdoor space. Design / Build ended up to be the perfect solution to their remodeling need.
Like many in the South Bay, the kitchen is the heart of the home to this family. The homeowners wanted a space that was elegant, warm and clean – an accurate representation of their tastes and style; a place to host Sunday barbecues. The island countertop is natural quartz called Corteccia Leather Slab. A lively cream and blue green quartzite with striking linear striation, Corteccia slabs from Brazil have a special leather finish. Similar to honing, leathering a stone closes the pores, making it much less susceptible to staining and allowing for better performance. The leathered finish presents a unique texture while retaining the stone’s natural color. Since the island was such a rock star we were challenged to find its perfect understated compliment for the perimeter countertops. We selected a polished slab of Madre Perla; a classic natural quartzite. Not only are the colors complimentary but the leather and polished textures play off each other nicely. The rest of the kitchen design fell into place from there.

This remodeled transitional kitchen and seating area features dark wooden cabinets and wicker coffee tables that contrast with the light-colored marble countertop and loveseat. The overall color scheme is neutral, with subtle hues of blue, pink, and gray, bringing focus on the combination of hanging pendant lights and a detailed, stained glass chandelier.
Other features in this kitchen include beige walls, arch windows with wooden window panes, kitchen island with white curved marble top, tile kitchen backsplash, a stone surround flat screen TV, and flat hearth fireplace.

On this residential wine cellar refrigeration project, Wine Cellar Specialists utilized the room under the stairs. The slant ceiling and the tiny space were a challenge to them.
In order to achieve the optimum conditions needed by wine to age gracefully, Wine Cellar Specialists installed a reliable wine cooling unit by US Cellar Systems.

With sleek, contemporary styling, the living room boasts a curved wall with a textural copper-and-silver finish and five very tall, narrow windows. The room itself was all the inspiration I needed to envision big, bold and bright decorative hardware and trim, but the modern furniture and the eye-catching metallic-copper coffee table provided additional inspiration.
Because the clients don’t like floor lamps and because they entertain frequently, I suggested back-lit crowns to reflect light off the ceiling. They loved the idea, but then came the challenge.
Incorporating LED lighting in the design sounded easy enough, but a certified electrician had to be consulted to ensure safety and security. After spending considerable time learning about installing lights within the crowns, I set about designing how the lights needed to be placed to have the most dramatic effect.
Two rows of lights were installed. The upper row shines upward to create a curved light on the ceiling, which enhances the height of the windows, creates a rhythm suggestive of the curve of the accent wall, and mimics the pebble-like shape of the table. The second row of lights shine downward, creating beams of light on the drapery sheer for dramatic effect and helping illuminate the room. Dimmer switches were installed so the clients can adjust brightness.
A decorative trim of diamond crystals was attached to the center of the crowns to create visual interest and add a touch of luxury – a detail that was repeated on the tiebacks. The sheer draperies hanging under the crowns are very close in color to the walls, reducing the contrast between the wall and the draperies, which helps give the room a more open and expansive look and feel.
The clients are delighted with the end result and said that when visitors see the room for the first time, they never fail to comment on the amazing lights in the window treatments.
