In this beautiful farmhouse style home, our Carmel design-build studio planned an open-concept kitchen filled with plenty of storage spaces to ensure functionality and comfort. In the adjoining dining area, we used beautiful furniture and lighting that mirror the lovely views of the outdoors. Stone-clad fireplaces, furnishings in fun prints, and statement lighting create elegance and sophistication in the living areas. The bedrooms are designed to evoke a calm relaxation sanctuary with plenty of natural light and soft finishes. The stylish home bar is fun, functional, and one of our favorite features of the home!

As a luxury spec home builder, each year Pike Properties builds a home that tests their limits and pushes their budget to the max. It's their opportunity to show what they are capable of, learn how to execute more challenging building elements, and build up their portfolio. For 2019, this was that home.
Upon the acquisition of a lot that offered over 300 feet of depth, it was time to build a home that isn't usually doable to build in areas close to Uptown Charlotte, NC, where Pike Properties builds. That is, a home that has an expansive footprint. This home measures around 100 feet in depth, and that allowed for the most unique feature, a Porte Cochere that leads to a motor court.
Porte Cochere's originated in the late 18th and early 19th century in luxury private mansions and public buildings, to allow horse carriages to drop off passengers in all weather conditions, without passengers being exposed to the elements. Today, many luxury private residences, and still many public buildings, have them.
Welcome to a your of Pike Properties' 2019 Showcase Home! Enjoy!

One of the most exciting transformations was the conversion of the third garage bay into a second home office and music jam room. Partnering with JC’s Remodeling, we reimagined this space to include: Custom white oak cabinetry with custom storage built for amps, cords, and other equipment. A mini dry bar featuring a smoked mirrored glass backsplash and a honed marble countertop. Soundproof wood slat acoustic panels for a modern, yet functional accent wall. A curved bookcase detail that integrates beautifully with the cabinetry and wood slat wall, creating an intentional focal point. Curated furnishings like a comfortable tufted sofa (a take on the modern classic library sofa with distressed velvet), and a vintage-inspipred performance rug brought warmth and comfort. I also selected a curvy armless chair which is ideal for guitar sessions.
This swanky retreat reflects a speakeasy lounge vibe, offering both a practical workspace and an inspiring creative haven. The client told me after it was all said and done that his kids love to pile onto the sofa and just hang out in the room as a family. Together, they build memories and learn new songs. That’s what good design should do—it brings people together.

Bedroom Interior Design by Che Bella Interiors, serving the Minneapolis & St. Paul area - Our client had recently purchased a coveted lakefront home on the spectacular shoreline of Crystal Lake. While the location and breathtaking views were picture-perfect, the interior was ripe for a transformation and provided an inspiring canvas for a remodel.
The scope of this 2020 project included the master bathroom and bedroom, which featured dated finishes, cramped spaces, and a lack of privacy. A wish list included removing the oversized tub, more bathroom storage, a modern color palette, texture, and enhancing privacy to transform their master retreat into the space of their dreams.
Through creative space planning and artful design, we created a swoon-worthy master retreat featuring a soothing, inviting, romantic vibe – a perfect pairing with the home’s lakefront setting. Within the master bedroom, crisp white cabinetry and trim perfectly balance softer cork metallic wallpaper, a linen tufted headboard, and custom bedding and pillows.

Design ideas for a large modern front yard driveway in San Francisco.

This narrow galley style primary bathroom was opened up by eliminating a wall between the toilet and vanity zones, enlarging the vanity counter space, and expanding the shower into dead space between the existing shower and the exterior wall.
Now the space is the relaxing haven they'd hoped for for years.
The warm, modern palette features soft green cabinetry, sage green ceramic tile with a high variation glaze and a fun accent tile with gold and silver tones in the shower niche that ties together the brass and brushed nickel fixtures and accessories, and a herringbone wood-look tile flooring that anchors the space with warmth.
Wood accents are repeated in the softly curved mirror frame, the unique ash wood grab bars, and the bench in the shower.
Quartz counters and shower elements are easy to mantain and provide a neutral break in the palette.
The sliding shower door system allows for easy access without a door swing bumping into the toilet seat.
The closet across from the vanity was updated with a pocket door, eliminating the previous space stealing small swinging doors.
Storage features include a pull out hamper for quick sorting of dirty laundry and a tall cabinet on the counter that provides storage at an easy to grab height.

This client required a sloping ramp from driveway to front door for wheelchair access. We built the ramp with Permeable concrete pavers to alleviate run-off rushing down slope. The ramp is hidden from the street view by the wall be built which we later augmented with a boxwood hedge. We installed low voltage lighting in the wall at the driveway entrance. We designed the project with Google Sketch-up. Very successful!
