DARIS BROWN, WRITER
If you think choosing the right shingle color is hard, you are not alone. With an endless array of colors to choose from, getting started can be difficult. But don't worry – we’ve got a great system to help you pick the perfect shingle color. If you are ready to look at shingles in a way you probably never have before, our three-step process can help you choose the color that works best for your home.
Choosing By Style
Before you can start flipping through a collection of earth-tone samples, you need to determine which shingle style best fits your home — and your price range. You don’t want to waste time falling in love with a beautiful shade of brown (let’s say hickory) if it’s not available in a style you like.
Most homeowners are not aware that shingles come in different styles, including three-tab, architectural and slate-look.
Three-Tab: These shingles have a traditional, flatter look and are considered the most affordable. They also are available in a wide range of colors.
Slate: These asphalt shingles, as the name reveals, are meant to mimic the look of slate but offer the easy care and affordability of asphalt. They come in a variety of colors.
Architectural: Also known as laminated or dimensional shingles, architectural shingles are manufactured with aesthetic appeal in mind. Layered to resemble wood shake, they are thicker and provide a more dimensional, interesting look than traditional three-tab shingles.
Choosing By Features
By comparing the available features, you can systematically narrow down your options to determine the best shingle available. Here are a few features to consider:
Class 4 Impact Resistance – Do you live in an area of the country that experiences regular hailstorms? Class 4 impact resistant shingles deliver superior impact resistance to help protect your home during hail season.
Algae Resistance – How humid is your region? Do you see roofs all around you with black streaks? Shingles manufactured with Scotchgard Protector help resist those ugly black streaks caused by algae.
High Wind Rating – Do you get nervous anytime a strong wind blows? Shingles with high wind resistance, up to 130 mph wind speed coverage, are designed to stay put – and look good in the process.
Comprehensive Warranty Protection – Do you want to feel secure with your investment? For maximum protection and warranty coverage, have a full roof system installed and receive an enhanced Premium Protection Period for total peace of mind.
Extensive Color Palette – Are you tired of plain black shingles? Get ready for an explosion of color, as there are many different options available. Woodland Green, Desert Shake, Burnt Sienna and Pristine Oyster are a few of the many great colors you can explore.
Choosing By Color
By choosing shingle style and features first, you can significantly narrow your list of colors. Now go through your shortened list and pick the best color for your home. You could match the shingle color to your shutters or door. If you want to enhance your home, lighter-colored shingles can help make it look bigger. Finally, opposites attract. If you have a light-colored home, you can go with a dark roof, and vice-versa for a dark-colored home. The contrast will help your entire home pop. Don’t be afraid to spread out your sample boards and make a side-by-side comparison to help with your selection process. Likewise, don't hesitate to lean on the advice of your roofer. Years of experience and thousands of homes roofed make them a valuable resource for homeowners trying to choose the best shingle color.
Choosing By Heart
While many homeowners will go straight to color, taking a methodical approach often provides better results. Take a step back. Decide what style you truly like and what features are available, and the best color for your home will fall right into your lap. Visit AtlasRoofing.com for a quick start to your shingle selection process. Atlas offers a broad range of beautiful designer colors and styles, which makes it easy to find an exceptional shingle to boost your home’s curb appeal.

Simple forms and careful attention to proportion make this a deceptively minimal extension, which completely transforms the house outside and in. We prefer easy transitions from interior to exterior to encourage the connection to yards and nature, and allow for the flow of outdoor living and dining to be seamless with the kitchen and indoor spaces.

A translucent stairwell was designed to allow excess heat to rise and release from the home during the summer months and dramatically mirrors the nearby city skyline. Light is filtered through highly-insulating Kalwall panels resulting in a warm glow that radiates to the interior and exterior.
Low-maintenance, natural materials such as stucco, iron wood, steel and glass create a clean modern palette while advanced framing construction techniques decreased the amount of wood wasted versus conventional framing methods. Green design elements include Geothermal Heating and Cooling, Insulation Wrapped Enclosure “Perfect Wall System”, Radiant Heat Slab, Low or No VOC Finishes, Recycled Content Counters, and Advanced Framing and Engineered Prefabricated Joists.
The third level private solarium and sun deck offer more than a sanctuary with panoramic views as it opens up the roof deck for gardening.

Custom Dressing Room Dubai in the house or apartment now is a necessary part of the space, without which it is difficult to manage. Katrina Antonovich, interior Designer Dubai, perfectly organizes custom dressing rooms of different size. Every detail is thought out carefully, the number of shelves, the necessary height, lighting techniques. Behind laconic furniture facades there are modern storage systems. Combination of natural dark wood and facades of different colors looks stylish and elegant. The snow-white ceiling with modern spotlights uniformly illuminates the interior and it is complemented by hidden illumination in the open parts of furniture. If Custom Dressing Room Dubai is larger, so it is possible to add additional chandeliers and furnishings. Custom Dressing Room today is based on the use of new technologies, which are particularly related to a method of illumination and modern storage systems.

We were given the challenge of designing a house overlooking a pond on a site constrained by wetlands. Our client had an interest in permanence and solidity and a desire to work with architectural concrete. Additionally, the client desired interiors that would showcase their substantial art collection. Our design approach began with the footprint of an L-shaped courtyard house, which in part, was determined by the limited buildable area. The house is sited on a natural rise in the land, allowing the first floor elevation to rise 15 ft above the pond’s surface; this height provides dynamic views through the trees that separate the house from the pond. Ultimately, our design leverages the inherent capabilities of architectural concrete i.e. its structural capacity; the material allows for bold cantilevers and expanses of glass, creating greater transparency between interior and exterior environments.
The interior palette is comprised of rift sawn oak with 16-inch wide oak plank flooring, oak casework and millwork, a stainless steel and glass main staircase, and minimalist concrete details throughout. On the upper level, the plan accommodates a master bedroom suite, three children’s bedrooms, and a family room. The first floor includes a guest bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, office, and family room. The ground level has a recreational room, a mudroom, and office/studio. The site plan employs native plantings and includes a small resistance pool in the courtyard.
Concrete will be utilized for all of the house’s structural and insulation components. This method modulates the fluctuation of interior temperature, creating both an energy-efficient envelope and enough concrete mass to keep temperatures moderate and consistent throughout a 24-hour day. The employment of triple-glazed windows and a triple-glazed aluminum curtain wall further increases the project’s energy efficiency and allows the house to have abundant glass. Natural light permeates the interior and affords spectacular view in all directions of both Todd Pond and the neighboring woodlands.

The exterior of this residence embodies the essence of Eisenhauer Woodworks' philosophy—harmoniously blending natural materials with meticulous craftsmanship. The façade features a rich tapestry of locally sourced timber, its warm hues and varied textures reflecting the surrounding Kootenay landscape. Large, strategically placed windows invite abundant natural light, seamlessly connecting the interior spaces with the outdoors. The design emphasizes simplicity and functionality, with clean lines and a thoughtful layout that respects the property's unique topography. This approach not only enhances the home's aesthetic appeal but also ensures it stands as a testament to the enduring beauty of traditional building methods and the natural environment.

Doors with triplex glass can be applied in various ways. With the help of diverse designs and saturated colors, they will be perfect for bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom. It is possible to choose not only transparent but also frosted glass. The feature of these doors is that they expand the space and also scatter the light. It is also very important to point out the fact, that due to the manufacturing method and used materials, doors with triplex are ecologically clean. Thanks to these characteristics, you can choose doors with triplex, which suit your preferences and to the interior of your apartment (home) the best.
