Sleek satin nickel barn door hardware effortlessly carry the heavy custom random width planked white oak doors. A/V equipment, on soft close pull outs are hidden behind the 4 soft close inset doors. 2 heat censored fans extract heat from the A/V equipment. Lots of room for storage , and glass shelves for display . The 65” tv is mounted on a articulating double arm mount for many different viewing angles and a breeze for accessing behind the tv. All wiring is hidden , accessible and managed.

Inspiration for a modern master beige tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile bathroom remodel in Kansas City with an undermount sink, flat-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets, quartz countertops and beige walls

Beautiful Travertine Backsplash utilizing 4" x 4" tiles with a linear mosaic strip accent band. Behind the sink is a pencil rail border with 4" x 4" tiles on a 45 degree angle with antique bronze accent tiles.

It's all in the details with this bathroom! Quartz waterfall cap on the pony wall of the shower mirrors the waterfall edge on the vanity. We also used quartz to cap the ledges of the niches, and the shower bench. Stack stone wainscoting surrounds the freestanding tub area. Custom his and hers vanity cabinets with a Cappuccino stain include hidden electrical, individualized storage areas, and coordinating framed mirrors over vanity. Same linear glass mosaic tile was used as an accent for the vanity backsplash, and decorative bands running through shower. Polished travertine-looking porcelain tile installed on shower walls. 2.5" wood-look hexagon tiles installed on shower floor. Rustic barn door was custom designed and stained for this project. Ran wood-look porcelain planks at a 45 degree angle on bathroom floor, and installed matching tile baseboads. LED can lights and bubble glass pendant lights illuminate the space. Transitional bathroom photo in Seattle

This project was a complete gut renovation of a 1979 condo in Palo Alto, CA. Our frequent traveler clients needed a place where they could relax and reconnect every time they return, thus the destination is always home. We focused on a fresh look and layout while embracing bold, new concepts. The original layout was a bit tricky - tight walkways, jogging angled walls, and a cramped, closed-in kitchen. It was necessary to reimagine these spaces for better connection between the dining room and the kitchen as well as creating more generous and functional space in the home office and closets. In the kitchen, the teal-colored cabinets were inspired by an antique piece of furniture, where the wood grain beneath was visible. We were able to bring in fun pops of color by mixing cabinet finishes. Another detail we love is the contrast of the stunning black Bertazonni hood, complemented by the stainless steel electric range. The black soapstone countertop is durable and can be oiled or waxed instead of needing to be chemically sealed. Our clients love to entertain guests so we utilized curved lines on the peninsula countertop as well as the oval tulip table to enhance flow between the kitchen and dining spaces. The bespoke banquet and barstools allow for a variety of entertaining possibilities. We took a cue from our client’s art collection - the punches of color and the overall sense of drama in each piece informed the project’s analogous color-inspired palette. In the dining room, you can see the yellows and greens in the artwork above the table carry into the ochre dining chairs, gorgeous green sofa, and beautiful warm brass accents in the kitchen. The blue in the peninsula cabinets and pendant lighting is the third entrancing color of the analogous palette. We meticulously curated every element of the layout for maximum functionality and show-stopping moments. Our clients now have a colorful, customized space where they can reconnect and enjoy their time at home.

HDBros The clients wanted a unique and spa-like master bath retreat to complement their already beautiful downtown loft. They wanted design solutions and attention to detail that would help distinguish their duplex apartment as a one-of-a-kind space tailored to their specific needs. The existing master bath did not have the sleek contemporary look they prefer, and the shower was too small. We enlarged the shower by removing a tub in an adjacent hall bath. The clients were willing to change the full hall bath into a powder room as they already had two full baths on the lower level. A simple palette of white, gray, and black enhances the contemporary design. We removed the wall between the master and hall bath, removed the hall bath tub, and built a new wall. We had to install all new plumbing rough-ins for the new fixtures. The new shower is 7-feet 9-inches by 4-feet -- enlarged from the original 4-foot square – with a linear drain in the floor. • The owners selected a river rock floor to provide acupressure and an organic touch to the modern room. • The black back wall has a large niche set with the same contrasting white tile as the side walls. The niche is outlined with metal trim. • Adding drama and the feel of a waterfall is an oversized 23-inch square rain head in the ceiling. The clients wanted two benches. Our crew mounted stainless steel L-brackets on the side walls. Our countertop fabricator routed the underside of the engineered quartz benches so the brackets sit flush. The clients also wanted a steam shower, so the glass doors span from the base to the tiled ceiling. We angled the shower ceiling such that the condensation drips would float back to the rear wall instead of straight down. Also set in the walls are waterproof blue-tooth enabled speakers. The clients were inspired by a photo of a countertop with dual ramp sinks. However, there were no references or design information. Our team stepped up to the challenge and created a detailed shop drawings with consultations between our designer, stone fabricator, and in-house plumber. A concealed tank/wall hung toilet fits the clean design lines. We installed the tank in the existing wall which had 2x6 framing. The toilet’s bidet seat (with remote control) required an electrical circuit. In one corner of the bathroom is a single unit wall-mounted drawer with five floating shelves above. The towel bars that are attached to each shelf are appliance pulls. The room has layers of light, including LED strips under the toilet, vanity, and shelving to highlight the floating/wall mounted units. The medicine cabinets have surface mounted lights, and there are recessed lights in the room, as well as in the shower. We also renovated the hall powder room with new flooring, vanity, and fixtures.

The Architect House is located on a breathtaking five-acre property in Great Falls, VA. This modern home was designed to shape itself into the site and landscape. By doing so each indoor space individually responds to the corresponding outdoor space. The entire house is then able to knit itself together with spaces that freely flow together from inside and out. The orientation of the house allows sunlight to tell the time of the day while you are inside. Upon entering you see straight through a central atrium and into the landscape beyond. Natural light and views of nature are captured from every angle inside the home. The modern exterior design of the house utilizes a linear brick at the base of the house that anchors it to the land. Gray and cedar colored modern architectural panel siding alternate patterns on all facades of the house, accentuating the different volumes. These volumes are then capped off by low sloping metal panel roofs. Exposed steel beans and columns are utilized to create long spans of covered outdoor spaces that then easily recede into the backdrop of the landscape. The design of this modern home is in harmony with the site and landscape creating a warm welcoming feeling and one that conveys that the house belongs there.

We were approached by a Karen, a renowned sculptor, and her husband Tim, a retired MD, to collaborate on a whole-home renovation and furnishings overhaul of their newly purchased and very dated “forever home” with sweeping mountain views in Tigard. Karen and I very quickly found that we shared a genuine love of color, and from day one, this project was artistic and thoughtful, playful, and spirited. We updated tired surfaces and reworked odd angles, designing functional yet beautiful spaces that will serve this family for years to come. Warm, inviting colors surround you in these rooms, and classic lines play with unique pattern and bold scale. Personal touches, including mini versions of Karen’s work, appear throughout, and pages from a vintage book of Audubon paintings that she’d treasured for “ages” absolutely shine displayed framed in the living room. Partnering with a proficient and dedicated general contractor (LHL Custom Homes & Remodeling) makes all the difference on a project like this. Our clients were patient and understanding, and despite the frustrating delays and extreme challenges of navigating the 2020/2021 pandemic, they couldn’t be happier with the results.
