Meet Mary Strong. Mary has over 20 years experience in residential and commercial interior design. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Nesbitt School of Design at Drexel University. Strong relocated to the Houston area in 2008 from New York, and loves the diversity of Houston because it allows her to work with many different home styles. She enjoys interacting with people, and her skills and experience create beautiful results for her new and returning clients. Mary's preferred style is what she calls “today's traditional.” It is a mix of old and new; a fresh version of traditional design. One of her specialties is window treatments. She works closely with Star's drapery designers to create custom treatments for her clients' homes. Contact Mary Strong and let her know that you found her on Houzz.com. This library/office was treated with stationary panels on each side of the window. The top treatment is an inverted box pleat valance trimmed with a contrast banding along the lower edge. A Hunter Douglas 2" Silhouette is underneath for privacy and light control.

Inspired by the seaside, this classic, coastal living room features shades of blue & white, a white slipcovered sofa and chair, a weathered wicker trunk used as a coffee table, and furniture & accessories that create a room that is both soothing and stylish. Summerland Homes & Gardens

Working on a girl's bedroom is always a dream. Our client spotted another little girl's room that we designed and wanted us to create a similar look in her own daughter's space. We adapted the look using more "gown up" furniture that Angel can enjoy well into her teenage years and beyond. Interior Design by Lori Steeves of Simply Home Decorating.
