The architecture of the master bedroom in this downtown loft apartment embraces the memory of the old mill it once was. Off-white walls and sisal carpeting offer the perfect neutral backdrop for this calm respite. Flanking the bed, which is fully upholstered in taupe linen, are a pair of Asian style bedside tables whose color coordinates beautifully with the lush and delicious chocolate faux fur found at its foot. The antique cedar chest gives much needed storage as well as display space. A pair of ivory ceramic lamps topping the bedside tables are both beautiful and functional. Sitting quietly in the corner, is a chair covered in taupe damask beckoning one to sit and read. A gallery of original artwork above the bed splashes coral, tangerine, aqua and turquoise into the space adding color and blending it with the rest of the loft. Because our home is a two-bedroom, we use our second room for an office and guest room. We built a custom lofted bed and bookshelf out of salvage robin's egg blue bead board and sustainable plywood. Simply climb the large lip of the book shelf ladder to get to your own lofted space, equipped with a 3/4 full mattress and plenty of pillows. Jacob Hand

This bedroom is so much fun! Shared by two sisters who like things to be "girly". We painted the walls a soft mint, used PB Teen loft bed to increase space with PB Teen bedding. Draperies are Duralee fabrics and hanging swing chairs on deck are Pier 1.

This boys bedroom was designed in collaboration with this super cool young man down to every detail. His sense of style and attention to detail is evident . The window loft bed was designed with a nautical motif bracket design. We used some cool rope hardware on the drawers. This is a great example of style on a budget for a young teens room.

Open concept, loft living makes this one bedroom with home office feel spacious, bright and airy. With strategically placed and well thought out built-ins and a wall hung media cabinet, everything has its place while being visual pleasing.

Kitchen remodel with reclaimed wood cabinetry and industrial details. Photography by Manolo Langis. Located steps away from the beach, the client engaged us to transform a blank industrial loft space to a warm inviting space that pays respect to its industrial heritage. We use anchored large open space with a sixteen foot conversation island that was constructed out of reclaimed logs and plumbing pipes. The island itself is divided up into areas for eating, drinking, and reading. Bringing this theme into the bedroom, the bed was constructed out of 12x12 reclaimed logs anchored by two bent steel plates for side tables.
