The kitchen is the focal point in this loft-like aerie with 34th floor panoramic views. Designed so the owner could cook and entertain simultaneously, it is open enough to the living/dining room for conversation, yet also provides separation for the cooking chores and cleanup.

Vintage plays well in this vaulted owner's suite in a modern cabin.
The owner's suite in the loft has the same reclaimed barn wood flooring as the main floor, a vintage Eames lounge chair, and a cabin-style makeover of a curbside trash dresser. The padded lambskin rug at each bedside amps the luxe factor as does the private screened deck three stories up.

This updated modern small house plan ushers in the outdoors with its wall of windows off the great room. The open concept floor plan allows for conversation with your guests whether you are in the kitchen, dining or great room areas. The two-story great room of this house design ensures the home lives much larger than its 2115 sf of living space. The second-floor master suite with luxury bath makes this home feel like your personal retreat and the loft just off the master is open to the great room below.

Creative conversion of a two story rear pop-out on a 1908 Craftsman in the Ravenna neighborhood to serve as a mother-in-law space. The client took on tile and paint herself after we focused our work on building new petite stairs to the loft, new plumbing, lighting, and cabinetry. An old door was re-purposed as the loft railing. Looking for creative storage solutions, we included a built-in bookcase and a hidden storage area under the stairs accessed through hinged stair treads.
