Clients wanted their new loft to have a modern feel that incorporated some of their existing pieces. We went with a classic color combo of black, white and red. With concrete floors and brick walls we wanted to warm up the space with a few walnut pieces throughout. With most lofts, space planning can be a challenge. We wanted enough seating without cluttering up the spatially challenged loft. We went with a very versatile sofa with removable/re-positionable backs to allow for larger gatherings in need of more seating. The dining area we equipped with a full bar cabinet, a sideboard for storage and ability to serve a buffet. Refinished antique table and chairs is the center of attention. We did two large matching chandeliers to enhance the 14 foot ceilings. Overall we kept the space open and functional.

After a complete demolition we started putting this loft penthouse back together again under a contemporary design guide lines. The floors are made of huge 48x48 porcelain tile that looks like acid washed concrete floors. the once common wet bar was redesigned with stainless steel cabinets and transparent glass shelf. Above the glass and stainless steel shelf we have a large custom made LED light fixture that illuminates the bar top threw the transparent shelf.

This Chelsea loft was transformed from a beat-up live-work space into a tranquil, light-filled home with oversized windows and high ceilings. The open floor plan created a new kitchen, dining area, and living room in one space, with two airy bedrooms and bathrooms at the other end of the layout. We used a pale, white oak flooring from LV Wood Floors throughout the space, and kept the color palette light and neutral. The kitchen features custom cabinetry and a wide island with seating on one side. A Lindsey Edelman chandelier makes a statement over the dining table.
