Alison & Eric have been my clients for almost 5 years. We began working together , shortly after they purchased their home. About a year later, when Alison was pregnant with their first child they reached out to me to design the nursery & transform the garage into an office/ lounge. Later we did a total makeover in their living room, and recently I completed the nursery for their newest addition the the family. For me, as a designer with a great passion for the home, I absolutely love to be able to build long term relationships with the people I work with. For this East Nashville renovation, the client wanted to maximize her space and create a home that would meet her long-term needs, as the original layout was too small. We built a luxurious master suite addition that seamlessly matches the existing hardwood flooring. Complete Hillside Backyard Renovation, El Paso – by GoDesigns This breathtaking backyard transformation in the historic area of El Paso, Texas, is a shining example of GoDesigns’ vision, expertise, and resilience. Situated on a challenging hillside property, the original backyard installed in 2005 was plagued by critical design flaws that led to a complete failure of the outdoor space. The existing negative edge pool, improperly installed with insufficient grade, drainage, and support, caused massive water loss and structural issues. The consequences were severe — the side rock wall broke in half, the backyard destabilized, and even a portion of the house was compromised. GoDesigns was brought in to turn crisis into opportunity. During the height of COVID-19, they launched Phase 1 of a multi-phase master plan to restore and reinvent the space. The entire backyard was demolished, including the compromised pool shell. The broken negative edge section was filled in, making way for a reimagined pool design. A new, reinforced pool structure was shot, finished with 5cm tumbled travertine coping, oversized mossrock boulders, new waterline tile, and a premium PebbleTec interior. Beneath the beauty lies smart engineering: GoDesigns replaced all plumbing and regraded the property, applying subsurface remediation and compaction techniques to ensure long-term stability. A new rocksalt steel reinforced concrete deck was poured, replacing the narrow wraparound layout with a spacious, functional outdoor living area. Now, the family enjoys ample room for chaise lounges, alfresco dining, and relaxing by the existing outdoor fireplace — luxuries they never had before. GoDesigns didn’t stop there. Advanced drainage systems — including underground piping, box drains, and planter drains — were installed to protect the integrity of the hillside. These systems are integrated into leveled planters that not only beautify the space but also reinforce the structure of the pool and surrounding terrain. Phase 2 focused on upgrading the patio directly outside the main house, while Phase 3 was the final touch — a lush landscape planting plan paired with elegant outdoor lighting to enhance ambiance and curb appeal. What was once a scene of despair is now a luxurious retreat — completed in thoughtfully timed phases over four years. Thanks to GoDesigns’ master planning and unwavering commitment, this hillside haven is a true testament to transformation. The clients are now looking forward to their next chapter: the front yard.

Bathroom wallpaper installation – Austin, TX – Contemporary For this modern bathroom in Austin, we installed 3D-textured vinyl wallpaper rated for high-moisture zones. The goal was to add subtle dimension without overpowering the space. Applied behind the vanity and freestanding tub, the pattern blends with contemporary fixtures and reflects soft LED lighting. Seam alignment and edge sealing were key to long-term durability.

Creating a fun, functional and inviting Kitchen was the goal for this new family vacation home. JWH Custom Inset Cabinetry provides maximum storage, long-term durability and a classic aesthetic.

This custom outdoor living project combines architectural structure, premium materials, and integrated amenities to create a highly functional, resort-style backyard. The existing deck was fully removed and replaced with a new patio cover featuring a clean 2/12 roof pitch, four large skylights with blinds, pine soffits, black hardware, and a durable PVC roofing system. Thoughtful detailing includes wrapped beams and posts, integrated gutters and downspouts, and discreet venting for long-term performance. The space is anchored by a fully built outdoor kitchen with a 42” Hestan grill, Danver flat-panel cabinetry, and Entzo countertops, designed for both everyday use and entertaining. Shaped by the refined architecture of Çeşme, this elegant villa project completes its nature-inspired luxury aesthetic with Serapool’s Antique Beige Series and Antique Beige Infinity Tile. The warm beige tones merge with the natural texture of stone to create a sophisticated ambiance. With a water absorption rate below 0.5%, the tiles ensure long-term durability. They are highly resistant to UV rays, chemicals, and thermal shock, making them ideal for outdoor use. A PTV ≥ 45° slip resistance rating enhances safety on wet surfaces. The specially designed infinity tile offers a seamless visual connection to the landscape, elevating the overall experience. More than a swimming area, this project delivers a flawless combination of aesthetics, safety, and comfort, advancing the vision of luxury living.

Stylistically, their house leans more traditional, but this couple wanted to give their kitchen a more updated look. They decided to shed some of the heavy elements of the old traditional style for something that was more transitional, and that would be classic and timeless for the long term. They simplified many of the design elements, from the legs on the island to the style of the door, to pull back on some of the overly ornate details in the previous space. We recently completed a development project in the Pemberton Heights area of North Vancouver. These 2 houses were built to benefit the long-term durability through the selection of efficient materials and process which will give a longer lifespan with lower maintenance and energy costs. This project was a perfect fit for us to assist in the design and execute the construction while working with some outstanding clients and consultants. A win for all of us! 
The original home was recycled hitting our target goals of 90%, leading way to a couple of stealth looking homes with performance levels right there with the best of them. Our mechanical engineer designed the mechanical systems to achieve maximum efficiency and hit our internal target goals that we have set for ourselves in accordance with our Vision here at Naikoon. These homes came in at EnerGuide score of 85% which can also be referenced in GJ with a score of 54GJ. To give you an idea of how this rating relates to an average home of this size, these 2 beauties on Mackay are about 80% more efficient. The main components in the design and equipment selection that leads to this are:
1) Space heating and Cooling
2) Water Heating
3) Lights and Appliances
4) Wall assemblies and insulation

Like all of our projects, we take pride in looking at the small details of the house. Things like, insulated water lines, domestic hot water heat recovery units, electric car plug-ins, solar power ready, extensive use of environmentally friendly materials, hot water heat pumps and stringent testing and inspection point along the way, led to a successful completion of 2 certified high-performance homes with Built Green Platinum and EnergyStar certifications.
