The Glass is the water line. The elegant early lines of the golden era of yachting owe much to the eye of the master tradesman.Half models of intended designs were carefully shaped by our early boat builders. Once happy with the shape of these half hulls, often only 18” or 2’ long, they would “loft” the lines onto the floor of their workshop and create full size plans of the intended boat from these early prototypes. All done with the keen eye of a true craftsman. “The Bailey is a tribute to the skill and passion of New Zealand’s early shipwrights”. It is with this attention to graceful lines and technique in mind, we created the Bailey Table. Using traditional techniques and tools such as the draw blade and spokeshave these tables are crafted by hand and eye to an almost silky, fluid finish. A joy to touch and view from almost any angle. Almost organic in touch and line, there are few straight lines to this sculpturally aesthetic piece. This is a project in Minneapolis that defines a spectacular landscape with all the bells and whistles. From an outstanding formal entry with thermal blistered limestone, to a clay paver walkway across a stream bed that flows into a pond. This landscape moves you around the home with its beauty and elegance. A rooftop patio serves as a morning breakfast nook, while still looking out over the pool area to watch the childern. For the intimate evenings around the pool a new outdoor fireplace patio was created to extend those hours spent with friends and family late into the night. The fireplace features clay brick veneers, with custom cut kasota limestone. It is a breath taking atomosphere.

The beautiful new Avorio glossy enamel was inspired by the original wood-burning stoves that Antonio and Napoleone Bertazzoni built in the 1930s. The enameling process creates a very durable finish and makes cooking surfaces easy-to-clean.

We were so excited to be able to complete and photograph such a beautifully created kitchen. It took months of planning and various ideas to make this project come to life. This kitchen was beautiful to start with so it was difficult for us to completely demolish and start from scratch, but after listening to our new clients concerns and understanding that the original kitchen floor plan was just not practical nor functional for them it was our time to shine! Custom cabinets, wonderful lighting, beautiful quartzite, seeded glass inserts, newly stained wood floors, high quality faucets, along with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances paired perfect with Ann Sacks backsplash tiles.
