You can cut on it, but it will dull your knives! Granite scores a seven on Moh’s hardness scale. Granite countertops are considered to be a low maintenance countertop surface. The likelihood of needing to be repaired or resurfaced is low. Granite is a porous material. Shingle Style on the Bay The lovely site on Moriches Bay in Westhampton offered this family from New York City an opportunity to create a relaxing and active compound for relatives and friends. Recalling gracious seaside living in the early 20th century, the Shingle Style was ideal for this new 6,200 square-foot residence. Porches grace the waterside elevation; terraces lead out to the pool and are adjacent to the kitchen as well. A second-floor porch off the master bedroom invites lounging, and built-ins and window seats encourage reading and chatting. Indoor and easily accessed outdoor spaces draw family members and friends together in informal gatherings around the pool, living room and large kitchen. Through an amazing collaboration with Andrew Sparks & Mark Shkolnikov @ SKS Lab we designed an enclosed loft with operable sliding windows with shades / built in storage accessible both on the 1st level and the second level loft.

502 19th Street is a three story Mediterranean home sits on a corner lot just four blocks from the ocean. The family room has a beautiful bay window seat, guest bathroom, and access to your back patio with custom built-in BBQ as well as your attached two car garage with storage. The open concept leads to your updated kitchen with granite countertops, a walk-in pantry, and a breakfast bar. Past the kitchen is your formal dining room and living room with it's gorgeous gas fireplace and access to the front patio. On the second level are three large bedrooms with full bathrooms, and conveniently located laundry room. The first bedroom lined in built-in shelving has plenty of natural light pouring through bay windows. The second bedroom has a private patio and vaulted ceilings.
