An old stone mansion built in 1924 had seen a number of renovations over the decades and the time had finally come to address a growing list of issues. All of the home’s bathrooms needed to be fully gutted and completely redone. In the master bathroom, we took this opportunity to rearrange the layout to incorporate a double vanity and relocate the toilet (the former bathroom had only a small single vanity with the toilet awkwardly located directly in front of the door). The bathtub was replaced with a generous walk-in shower complete with frameless glass and digital controls. We located a towel warmer immediately outside the shower to provide toasty towels within easy reach. A beautiful Calacatta and Bardiglio Gray basketweave tile was used in combination with various sizes of Calacatta marble field tile and trim for a look that is both elegant and timeless.

A small cone shaped vanity provides a unique look and provides storage. A wall hung toilet helps address some clearance issues, and grab bars at shower and toilet address safety concerns. There was even room for a small built in cabinet across from the toilet for towel and toiletry storage. Antique lighting and wallpaper combined with modern plumbing fixtures keep the space looking cottage-y but also up-to-date. he master bath in this 1990 vintage home was calling out for help. Aesthetically it was tired, dated and needed an update. Functionally it was a disaster with a large unused tub and 16 square feet of dead space consuming most of the room. On top of that there was a moisture and mold issue that needed to be addressed.. Working within the footprint of the previous bath the Bel Air Construction design team transformed an uninspired bathroom into the aesthetically pleasing and extremely functional contemporary master bath that the homeowner desired.

This 1970s ranch home in South East Denver was roasting in the summer and freezing in the winter. It was also time to replace the wood composite siding throughout the home. Since Colorado Siding Repair was planning to remove and replace all the siding, we proposed that we install OSB underlayment and insulation under the new siding to improve it’s heating and cooling throughout the year. After we addressed the insulation of their home, we installed James Hardie ColorPlus® fiber cement siding in Grey Slate with Arctic White trim. James Hardie offers ColorPlus® Board & Batten. We installed Board & Batten in the front of the home and Cedarmill HardiPlank® in the back of the home. Fiber cement siding also helps improve the insulative value of any home because of the quality of the product and how durable it is against Colorado’s harsh climate. We also installed James Hardie beaded porch panel for the ceiling above the front porch to complete this home exterior make over. We think that this 1970s ranch home looks like a dream now with the full exterior remodel. What do you think?

Part of the overall concept in the bath remodel was to bring the laundry upstairs from the basement. Since the bathroom was sandwiched between two bedrooms both closets and the hall needed to be addressed. Besides the new frosted bathroom door, the two louvered doors cover the stacking washer dryer, and the newly framed linen closet carved out of the master closet. Since the hall was tight and space small, the master bedroom incorporated a new pocket door to avoid door swing issues. Accessibility was also an important part of the renovation. Strategically positioned support and grab bars were incorporated into the bathing areas to improve safety without compromising the overall design. During construction, the team also discovered and professionally addressed an existing leak, ensuring the renovated spaces were completed on a reliable foundation.
