The original house, built in the early 18th century, was moved to this location two hundred years later. This whole house project includes an outdoor stage, a library, two barns, an exercise complex and extensive landscaping with tennis court and pools.
A new stair winds upward to the study built as a widow's walk on the roof.
A large window provides a view to the sea-wall at the bottom of the garden and Buzzard's Bay beyond.
The new stair allows views from the central front hall into the Living Room, which spans the waterside.
The bluestone-edged swimming pool and hot pool merge with the landscape, creating the illusion that the pool and the sea are continuous.

Strikingly modern, this dramatic design draws inspiration from the Prairie school as well as the “less-is-more” philosophy. With more than 2,500 square feet of living space spread out on three levels and walls of windows throughout, the design makes the most of the view. A contemporary-inspired floor plan revolves round a central living room with a dining, sitting and kitchen area to the left and study/office to the right. The second level is anchored by a central loft living area flanked by a master bedroom and two additional family rooms. The lower level houses a family room, exercise room and two additional bedrooms.

This bathroom was done in historical Meridian Kessler. The design is inspired by already existing Arabian style arches in the doorways of this 100 year old house. In staying true to the period of the house and being that it is the master bathroom we went with tuxedo color theme. we used traditional white subway tile on the walls with a black and gray listello border that highlights the contour of the arch before continuing to wrap the perimeter of the bathroom along it's baseboard. This design was an exercise in listening to the house.

This residence, located in Livingston, New Jersey, has many wonderful features. A very large home with over 6,500 square feet of living space, it has a very open plan but the homeowner is still able to find rooms set off from the openess for privacy. This home has an open floor plan in an L shaped configuration to allow a playroom off the kitchen (for easy monitoring of the kids while prepping for dinner) as well as completely open to a breakfast area and family room for great entertaining opportunities. The dining room, living room and study are smaller and more intimate spaces. The first floor also features a full bath, powder room, large mudroom, three car garage and a two story foyer. The second floor has four bedrooms each having direct acces to a bathroom along with an oversized master bedroom suite that is about 1,500 square feet (you can imagine the size of the closets!). This house continues to provide living space in the basement with a home theater and bar along with an exercise area, craft room, office and recreational space.
The exterior features a blend of materials including stone, hardiboard siding, copper roofed bay windows and a covered front porch.

We gutted and renovated this entire modern Colonial home in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Introduced to the homeowners through the wife’s parents, we updated and expanded the home to create modern, clean spaces for the family. Highlights include converting the attic into completely new third floor bedrooms and a bathroom; a light and bright gray and white kitchen featuring a large island, white quartzite counters and Viking stove and range; a light and airy master bath with a walk-in shower and soaking tub; and a new exercise room in the basement.

Function meets fashion in this relaxing retreat inspired by turn-of-the-century cottages. Perfect for a lot with limited space or a water view, this delightful design packs ample living into an open floor plan spread out on three levels. Elements of classic farmhouses and Craftsman-style bungalows can be seen in the updated exterior, which boasts shingles, porch columns, and decorative venting and windows. On the right side of the more than 1,500-square-foot main level is the 14 by 18-foot living room with a gas fireplace and access to the adjacent covered patio where you can enjoy the changing seasons.
