Subway tile has made a huge resurgence - and made its way into the residential marketplace tenfold. It's classic, it's clean, and you can play with the installation method to get some creative results. The small footprint of this Master Bath is underplayed because of the vaulted ceiling and skylight, smart storage solutions, and trough sink...not to mention the uber cool rain-shower panel.

FRONT VIEW-
Inspired by the west coast home style, this Traditional (inspired Craftsman) style model reflects a timeless home with a look that is always in demand. From its striking “L” shape, with a triple garage that boasts a 668 sq.ft. of bonus space on its second level, and covered porches in both front and back, this beautiful home has something for everyone!
Upon entering high ceilings, reaching almost 18’ in the foyer and the family room, add to the appeal of the main level's well thought out floor plan. A remarkable master suite has its own fireplace and well appointed bathroom that is accessible through a his and hers style walk-in closet. The abundantly fenestrated living/dining area has a second fireplace that can be enjoyed from both sides and the kitchen has a large central island, walk-in pantry and a delightful breakfast nook that overlooks the view from the back terrace. The separate laundry/mud room off of the garage entrance to the house adds to the livability of this home with features made to measure for today’s larger, blended families.
Upstairs there is a second master suite and the two other bedrooms share a bathroom with its own shower. The reading/computer corner on the mezzanine overlooks the family room below and the 14’ x 41’8” bonus space above the garage, accessible from this level, provides room to grow!

This stunning master suite is part of a whole house design and renovation project by Haven Design and Construction. The master bath features a 22' cupola with a breathtaking shell chandelier, a freestanding tub, a gold and marble mosaic accent wall behind the tub, a curved walk in shower, his and hers vanities with a drop down seated vanity area for her, complete with hairdryer pullouts and a lucite vanity bench.

The original house was demolished to make way for a two-story house on the sloping lot, with an accessory dwelling unit below. The upper level of the house, at street level, has three bedrooms, a kitchen and living room. The “great room” opens onto an ocean-view deck through two large pocket doors. The master bedroom can look through the living room to the same view. The owners, acting as their own interior designers, incorporated lots of color with wallpaper accent walls in each bedroom, and brilliant tiles in the bathrooms, kitchen, and at the fireplace tiles in the bathrooms, kitchen, and at the fireplace.

The best of past and present architectural styles combine in this welcoming, farmhouse-inspired design. Clad in low-maintenance siding, the distinctive exterior has plenty of street appeal, with its columned porch, multiple gables, shutters and interesting roof lines. Other exterior highlights included trusses over the garage doors, horizontal lap siding and brick and stone accents. The interior is equally impressive, with an open floor plan that accommodates today’s family and modern lifestyles. An eight-foot covered porch leads into a large foyer and a powder room. Beyond, the spacious first floor includes more than 2,000 square feet, with one side dominated by public spaces that include a large open living room, centrally located kitchen with a large island that seats six and a u-shaped counter plan, formal dining area that seats eight for holidays and special occasions and a convenient laundry and mud room. The left side of the floor plan contains the serene master suite, with an oversized master bath, large walk-in closet and 16 by 18-foot master bedroom that includes a large picture window that lets in maximum light and is perfect for capturing nearby views. Relax with a cup of morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the nearby covered patio, which can be accessed from both the living room and the master bedroom. Upstairs, an additional 900 square feet includes two 11 by 14-foot upper bedrooms with bath and closet and a an approximately 700 square foot guest suite over the garage that includes a relaxing sitting area, galley kitchen and bath, perfect for guests or in-laws.

Gray painted framed mirrors add depth to the softly painted grey washed walls and subtly connects the gray veining throughout the carrara marble countertop and gray painted double vanity.

Double floating vanity with freestanding bainultra tub. There is plenty of space in this master bath! Large format wood plank tile is set in a herringbone pattern. The air bubble tub is a stunning view as the focal point when you enter the room. Full wall featuring glass tile with recessed niches and a large picture window.

For a young teenager we created a soft romantic retreat. The paper is from Osborne & Little and is a beautiful seaglass and soft silver leaf pattern. The swivel chairs are upholstered in a chenille shot through with a little silvery thread.

Tucked into the hillsides of Marin, the environment played a predominant role in defining the contemporary yet exotic style of this home.
In the master bedroom, a fireplace adds a cozy design element, while an inconspicuous home theater system can be elegantly tucked away when not in use. In the master bathroom, pebbled stone tile adorn the walls of the double shower that overlooks the hillsides of Marin.
A guest bathroom was designed to compliment the eclectic aesthetic of the home. While in the center of the residence, a spiral acrylic staircase climbs 3 floors acting as a consistent element, tying together the varied yet complementary styles.

Large elegant master white tile freestanding bathtub photo in New York with shaker cabinets, white cabinets, white walls and an integrated sink

Originally built in 1955, this modest penthouse apartment typified the small, separated living spaces of its era. The design challenge was how to create a home that reflected contemporary taste and the client’s desire for an environment rich in materials and textures. The keys to updating the space were threefold: break down the existing divisions between rooms; emphasize the connection to the adjoining 850-square-foot terrace; and establish an overarching visual harmony for the home through the use of simple, elegant materials.
The renovation preserves and enhances the home’s mid-century roots while bringing the design into the 21st century—appropriate given the apartment’s location just a few blocks from the fairgrounds of the 1962 World’s Fair.
