Spa suite? Nah...so much better! Words cannot really describe the incredible transformation of this sleek "decked out" master bath and closet. Ripped down to the bare framing, upgrades include: insulation, windows, skylights, dual head shower, bidet toilet, his and her closets, heated floors, jetted tub (with a view) sensor lighting, drywall, framing, laundry chute, built-ins... and more. The ultimate compliment came from the owners themselves: "we stayed at a very nice hotel in Florida and had a "spa suite" for a few nights. It was decked out well...and Michelle and I both agreed that we missed our bathroom at home. Something we never thought we'd say!

The kitchen includes custom thermafoil cabinetry, quartz countertops, a stainless steel backsplash and stainless steel appliances. The flooring was completely ripped out and replaced with 12 x 24 porcelain tile. The master bath was torn down to the studs. We added a floor to ceiling walk in shower, free standing tub and his and her vanities. All of the en suite baths were updated with white shaker cabinetry, quartz countertops and white subway tile for the showers.

Our team recently completed this bathroom remodeling project with a full rip and replace. We transformed the new space into a sleek and modern retreat with a contemporary design. Key features of this project include a glass corner shower, creating an open and spacious feel. Beautiful beige tiles continue from the shower into the bathtub area, wrapped together with matte black fixtures. A large shower niche with a shelf allows the homeowner ample storage in this beautiful bathroom.

You don't have to own a big celebrity mansion to have a beautifully appointed house finished with unique and special materials. When my clients bought an average condo kitted out with all the average builder-grade things that average builders stuff into spaces like that, they longed to make it theirs. Being collectors of colorful Fiesta tableware and lovers of extravagant stone, we set about infusing the space with a dose of their fun personality. There wasn’t a corner of the house that went untouched in this extensive renovation. The ground floor got a complete make-over with a new Calacatta Gold tile floor, and I designed a very special border of Lunada Bay glass mosaic tiles that outlines the edge of every room. We ripped out a solid walled staircase and replaced it with a visually lighter cable rail system, and a custom hanging chandelier now shines over the living room. The kitchen was redesigned to take advantage of a wall that was previously just shallow pantry storage. By opening it up and installing cabinetry, we doubled the counter space and made the kitchen much more spacious and usable. We also removed a low hanging set of upper cabinets that cut off the kitchen from the rest of the ground floor spaces. Acquarella Fantasy quartzite graces the counter surfaces and continues down in a waterfall feature in order to enjoy as much of this stone’s natural beauty as possible. One of my favorite spaces turned out to be the primary bathroom. The scheme for this room took shape when we were at a slab warehouse shopping for material. We stumbled across a packet of a stunning quartzite called Fusion Wow Dark and immediately fell in love. We snatched up a pair of slabs for the counter as well as the back wall of the shower. My clients were eager to be rid of a tub-shower alcove and create a spacious curbless shower, which meant a full piece of stone on the entire long wall would be stunning. To compliment it, I found a neutral, sandstone-like tile for the return walls of the shower and brought it around the remaining walls of the space, capped with a coordinating chair rail. But my client's love of gold and all things sparkly led us to a wonderful mosaic. Composed of shifting hues of honey and gold, I envisioned the mosaic on the vanity wall and as a backing for the niche in the shower. We chose a dark slate tile to ground the room, and designed a luxurious, glass French door shower enclosure. Little touches like a motion-detected toe kick night light at the vanity, oversized LED mirrors, and ultra-modern plumbing fixtures elevate this previously simple bathroom. And I designed a watery-themed guest bathroom with a deep blue vanity, a large LED mirror, toe kick lights, and customized handmade porcelain tiles illustrating marshland scenes and herons. We couldn't wait to rip up this bedroom's carpet to reveal beautiful original hardwood floors! All we had to do was have them refinished to the same dark hue of the rest of the apartment's flooring. We further integrated the visual style by changing the door style along with the new molding.

To update this bathroom we took out the tub, tore down the wallpaper, and ripped up the old carpet. We laid new 12x24 tile on new heated floors, painted the walls, and replaced the tub with an acrylic drop in with a solid surface tub deck. We topped the vanities with matching solid surface to tie the look together. In the shower, we replaced the pink cultured marble panels with an elegant tile shower that matches the floor in the rest of the bathroom. Lastly, we replaced the outdated wall to wall mirrors with classier framed mirrors, making this bathroom fun, colorful and modern.

This basement was severely flooded due to a city water main busting and dumping water into the basement for over three hours straight. After water remediation, we completely gutted the basement, ripping out all carpet and stripping all the damaged wall areas down to the studs to be replaced. In the two bathrooms, we removed all the drywall so we could install new cement board. We replaced all the electrical outlets and switches. We replaced all the drywall (where necessary), replaced all doors, and installed all new custom tile flooring (DalTile – Acacia Valley – plank and DalTile – Carrera Lungard – hex). In the main bathroom, we installed a brand-new bathtub with custom tile shower walls (Interceramic – Solids In-Design – Gloss Graphite). We installed a new toilet and new floating Walnut Butcher Block vanity with vessel sink. The wall behind the vanity was finished with custom US Marble. In the master bathroom, we installed a new Aquatic Azra II soaker tub, new toilet, and new Bertch Interlude Hickory vanity with new vessel sinks and chrome faucets. We laid all brand-new tile in the shower (Interceramic – Tessuto – Ecru Gray), complete with a custom niche, and continued that tile around the entire bathroom. The floor was custom and hand cut to make the plank tiles match up with the hexagon tiles. The custom floor in the shower was made by cutting the plank floor tiles into small 3x3 tiles. We also added a walk-in closet and laundry room. In the laundry room, we replaced a previous entry door with an awning window.
