The barrel-ceilinged master bedroom called for serene coloration; blue brought an intimacy to the scale of the room. The walls were faux-finished in an elegant silk stripe; a Lombardy 19th century bed and comfortable Colombo Mobili furniture in European plum walnut with cherry inlay adds warmth. A Schonbek chandelier and Lalique Josephine lamps complete the room. The paintings are by Francis Hayman, left, and Max Carlier, right.

The main spaces are organized around an interior courtyard and a series of large-scale skylights that help to stream sun into the depths of the building, while retaining a great amount of privacy.

To optimize the views of the lake and maximize natural ventilation this 8,600 square-foot woodland oasis accomplishes just that and more. A selection of local materials of varying scales for the exterior and interior finishes, complements the surrounding environment and boast a welcoming setting for all to enjoy. A perfect combination of skirl siding and hand dipped shingles unites the exterior palette and allows for the interior finishes of aged pine paneling and douglas fir trim to define the space.
This residence, houses a main-level master suite, a guest suite, and two upper-level bedrooms. An open-concept scheme creates a kitchen, dining room, living room and screened porch perfect for large family gatherings at the lake. Whether you want to enjoy the beautiful lake views from the expansive deck or curled up next to the natural stone fireplace, this stunning lodge offers a wide variety of spatial experiences.

Example of a large classic master white tile and porcelain tile medium tone wood floor, brown floor, double-sink, tray ceiling and wallpaper bathroom design in Nashville with recessed-panel cabinets, white cabinets, a two-piece toilet, gray walls, an undermount sink, quartz countertops, a hinged shower door, white countertops, a niche and a built-in vanity

The shower was designed as a private alcove, creating a sense of separation and tranquility within the primary bathroom. A built-in bench provides comfort and functionality, while a center drain with an inset tile detail allows the drain to blend seamlessly into the floor for a clean, uninterrupted aesthetic. Warm gold plumbing fixtures add an elegant touch, complementing the refined material palette. A frosted window fills the space with soft natural light while maintaining privacy, enhancing the spa-like atmosphere of the shower.

This Upper East Side prewar interior was specifically designed as a guest apartment for friends and family to stay for long periods of time. They wanted their guests to feel like home while staying in the city. Our criteria was that it had to be functional while remaining tailored, sophisticated and inviting. The space was rather dark so we opted for wallcoverings and paint colors that were soft, textural and exuded contrast. Our design was to completely renovate the living room, bathroom and master bedroom/sitting area. The kitchen was cosmetic with floor stain, paint, hardware and lighting. Grey, taupe, white and black were accents in the living room and created a friendly environment. This room also had to function as a guest room therefore a pullout sofa covered in a Lee Jofa linen was the perfect choice. The Bedroom has a soft palate which is extremely welcoming with touches of silver and pale grey. The hints of peacock blue and brown transform the space completely and work well with the pheasant mirror above the bed. There is also a reading nook where our star Winston occasionally takes naps when he returns from his runs in Central Park. Photo

These tiles are pale green in color. Not quite as a true green as an unripe olive, but more of a muted olive green. The tiles have a slightly raised center; there is a slanted, ½ inch border creating the raised center in these tiles. The raised center is a replica of the lines in the tile, on a slightly smaller scale. There is a sleekness when touched and a sheen, due to the polished finish. These tiles are ceramic.

The Master Bedroom provides the perfect relaxing retreat and reflects the couple’s personality. The dark slate feature wall supports the sleek wooden bed and provides a contrasting backdrop to the modern light fixture. Two toned side tables compliment the design theme. Windows are framed with a small-scale drapery fabric, while wood blinds control darkness. The room also features a large walk-in closet, a must have on the homeowners list as their prior home lacked sufficient storage solutions.

This long hall to the master bedroom was empty and cold. We created a seating area at one end with a bench and a grouping of mirrors near the window and then as you get closer to master doors, we added a great modern but rustic console table with a beautiful oil painting above flanked by two table lamps. The colors in the painting and the succulent arrangement below bring in some much needed pops of color to this hallway. Photo Credit Mod Town Realty

New addition
Over the years, this home went through several renovations and stylistically inappropriate additions were added. The new homeowners completely remodeled this beautiful Jacobean Tudor architecturally-styled home to its original grandeur.
Extensively designed and reworked to accommodate a modern family – the inside features a large open kitchen, butler's pantry, spacious family room, and the highlight of the interiors – a magnificent 'floating' main circular stairway connecting all levels. There are many built-ins and classic period millwork details throughout on a grand scale.
