This client was so much fun to design for. Their project was all about color, texture and creating a master bedroom and guest bedroom that compliments their passion for traveling and eclectic style. We created a seating area in the master bedroom where the family can gather at night to read and spend time quality time. Their desire for deep color and bold pattern allowed us to create a casual space that is both warm and inviting at the end of a long day. Guests often visit and stay for a bit. They wanted to give their family and friends the same cozy feel in their guest bedroom. We were able to use a combination of patterns, textures and colors with our custom-made bedding and pillows. We also love to repurpose where we can and painted furniture is a great place to start. The depth of color used here is a true reflection of our clients' warm and friendly personality that says "welcome to our home."

Bathroom is a place where you start and end your day. So how could it be anything short of perfection?! We took this inspiration and transformed one Stanford home’s master bathroom from outdated to sleek and elegant place. Designed according to its function bathroom is also well suited to homeowner’s style preferences. It was a great pleasure working on this project! Owners were highly involved in decision making process and their taste in design turned out to be exquisite!

Creating these beautiful bathrooms for an Algiers' couple was a delight! Although they knew exactly what they wanted from the start, they were very open to my ideas and recommendations. Porcelain tiles were selected for its durability, warm gray tones for a relaxing feel and chrome fixtures/hardware to add a subtle sparkle.

Rich wood pieces and gold accents bring warmth to the soothing, powder blue rooms. Previous owners had added on to the master bedroom, creating an oddly shaped room. So the space was reconfigured to create a more relaxing master suite.

This master suite truly embodies the essence of “Suite Sophistication”. Each detail was designed to highlight the refined aesthetic of this room. The gray toned color scheme created an atmosphere of sophistication, highlighted by touches of lavender and deep purples for rich notes. We surrounded the room in exquisite custom millwork on each wall, adding texture and elegance. Above the bed we created millwork that would exactly feature the curves of the headboard. Topped with custom bedding and pillows the bed perfectly reflects both the warm and cool tones of the room. As the eye moves to the corner, it holds alluring lush seating for our clients to lounge in after a long day, beset by two impeccable gold and beaded chandeliers. From this bedroom our client may slide their detailed pocket doors, decorated with Victorian style windowpanes, and be transported into their own dream closet. We left no detail untouched, creating space in lighted cabinets for his & her wardrobes, including custom fitted spaces for all shoes and accessories. Embellished with our own design accessories such as grand glass perfume bottles and jewelry displays, we left these clients wanting for nothing. This picturesque master bedroom and closet work in harmony to provide our clients with the perfect space to start and end their days in a picture of true sophistication.

This house was designed to fit the shores of Lake Minnetonka’s Stubbs Bay. The exterior architecture has the feel of an old lake cottage home that’s been there for a century with modern day finishes. The interior has large Marvin windows with expansive views of the lake, walnut floors, extensive wood detailing in the custom cabinets, wainscot, beamed ceilings, and fireplace. Step out of the kitchen to a covered out door porch with phantom screens overlooking the lake. The master bedroom has a large private roof deck overlooking the lake as well. There is a private master bonus room accessed through the master closet. The four levels of the home are accessible by an elevator. The working butler’s pantry, which is accessible by both sides of the kitchen has a secondary sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, lots of storage, and yes windows for natural light, views of the lake, and air flow.

When our clients approached us to renovate their 1950s Newfoundland home, their goal was to modernize while reflecting both their West Coast roots and current East Coast lifestyle. What began as a simple ensuite repair expanded into a full home transformation, completed in two thoughtfully phased renovations. Drawing from our cross-coastal experience—and a personal connection to the home’s past—we blended classic East Coast charm with West Coast simplicity. From reworking the layout and finishes to integrating their art collection and layering in warm, tactile materials, every detail was designed to feel cohesive, inviting, and deeply personal.

This bath remodel started with the desire for a mini-spa in a small footprint. With concise planning a precious 10 SF was added, ending up with 51 SF.
Everything that came into the new space was new, fresh and bold. A soaker tub (22” deep) was a must. A rain shower and a hand shower gave versatile water sprays. Unique accents shine like the embossed paisley low vessel sink. The tile on the floor was bold and accented with penny-rounds in tones of grey for the niche and splash. Other extras; a storage nook was made by cutting into the hall stair cavity, a great place for linens and necessities. General lighting was increased with a larger window, and a great lighted mirror.
This small spa is now bold, functional and enjoyed by these busy professionals.

This home in the Diamond Run Golf Community had been updated through the years with the obvious exception of the Master Suite. The homeowners decided it was time to close the door on the 1980's décor, and bring their Master Suite into the new millennium. The project started with a complete renovation of the Master Bathroom, working in collaboration with Kitchen and Bath Concepts. They were looking to create a High End Transitional Style Spa Retreat. The tranquil color scheme for the entire suite was developed from the finish selections in the Bathroom, including the glass tile accent feature behind the tub. The Bedroom walls are enveloped in a warm silver grass cloth wall covering, with a subtle textured square pattern. The windows, which were previously untreated, now feature silk stripe drapery side panels with motorized natural shades for privacy. The bed was the only piece of existing furniture re used in the space, however tufted fabric inserts were added to the headboard and footboard to provide softness to the room. One feature piece in the room is the 6 drawer high chest with a custom silver leaf tree bark finish on the drawer fronts trimmed with a rich mahogany. A pair of overscaled branch hurricane candle sconces create drama, flanking the French doors leading to the Bathroom. A large lantern hovers from the cathedral ceiling in the Sitting Room. A room size double chaise sectional along with movable woven ottomans topped with leather provides comfort for the entire family for TV watching.

A neutral background is a great place to start when you're after high impact color.
The master bedroom is a departure from the strong color found elsewhere in the home as the homeowners wanted a restful space to retire to after busy days. Just a smidgen of green to tie the space in with the rest of the cottage was plenty.

India was the design inspiration for the master suite and living room in this East London House. Starting with a neutral light grey base, we added layers of pinks, yellows, oranges, teals and purples. We used 70s inspired, designer fabrics by Eley Kishimoto for the bespoke upholstery and decorated with gold framed artworks including a modern rendition of the Golden Temple in Amritsar and the OH print by renowned East London signwriter Archie Proudfoot.

These clients win the award for ‘Most Jarrett Design Projects in One Home’! We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have been able to work with these kind folks so consistently over the years.
The most recent project features their master bath, a room they have been wanting to tackle for many years. We think it was well worth the wait! It started off as an outdated space with an enormous platform tub open to the bedroom featuring a large round column. The open concept was inspired by island homes long ago, but it was time for some privacy. The water closet, shower and linen closet served the clients well, but the tub and vanities had to be updated with storage improvements desired. The clients also wanted to add organized spaces for clothing, shoes and handbags. Swapping the large tub for a dainty freestanding tub centered on the new window, cleared space for gorgeous his and hers vanities and armoires flanking the tub. The area where the old double vanity existed was transformed into personalized storage closets boasting beautiful custom mirrored doors. The bathroom floors and shower surround were replaced with classic white and grey materials. Handmade vessel sinks and faucets add a rich touch. Soft brass wire doors are the highlight of a freestanding custom armoire created to house handbags adding more convenient storage and beauty to the bedroom. Star sconces, bell jar fixture, wallpaper and window treatments selected by the homeowner with the help of the talented Lisa Abdalla Interiors provide the finishing traditional touches for this sanctuary.

A classic marble bathroom with modern conveniences. This bathroom utilizes all marble tile materials in a variety of different patterns. Starting with the floor and a basket weave pattern with a fleck of black to accent the granite counter top is also repeated on the accent border around the space. The wall is tiled three quarters of the way up with a brick joint subway pattern, topped with a carrara marble pencil liner accented with the basket weave mosaic and finished with a coordinating crown moulding. All of the remaining fixtures are in white and chrome to maintain a fresh and classic look.

This beautiful master bath makeover started with a new layout that enlarged the shower, reoriented the toilet, replaced the tub and redesigned the vanity with a gorgeous new linen tower feature. The muted color palette blends soft whites with a variety of gray shades. The dark gray tile floor in large 12"x24" herringbone pattern contrasts nicely with the light grey walls and slightly deeper gray linen cabinets. The marblesque quartz ties the color scheme together with muted gray veining set in a creamy white field. Traditional shaker style wainscoting adds drama and sophistication without blowing the budget coupled with clean crisp shaker style cabinetry and fixture with contemporary flare. The luxury shower hearkens to a simpler time with traditional white subway tile accentuated with dark grout and classic polished chrome fixtures. The corner seat and tiled niche provide storage and comfort to this oversized shower with frameless glass enclosure. The bay provides the perfect setting for a beautiful freestanding tub centered in a sea of windows.
