These clients were in the second stage of renovating their stylish Tudor when we were approached to help formulate a final design plan for entertainment, technology integration and lighting design and control systems. Although the plan was to implement the final completion of these systems in stages, we needed to prepare the appropriate wiring to accomplish the end goals. We provided a lighting design plan for the areas under construction and some simple control solutions from Lutron and Universal Remote Control. Once the Family room was completed we brought in the BDI Novia A/V Cabinet in Coco stained Cherry. This excellent piece of A/V furniture was just large enough to house the entertainment system along with the homes WiFi router. The A/V system was built around a Denon AVR 3809Ci. Source components consisted of Comcast Cable HD DVR, Samsung Blu-Ray DVD player and an Apple TV. The Apple TV was the primarily used for playing the clients music and sharing their family pictures on the 50” Samsung LED TV. The Samsung Blu-Ray DVD player was designed with an internet application for Pandora Radio which is a great way to experience a wide variety of music by creating sets of personable radio stations. Listing to the entertainment system is a real joy with the Totem Tribe in-wall speakers. These sealed cabinet in-wall speakers are some of the best in the world for a very reasonable price. The Velodyne MiniVee 10 was used as the subwoofer. Panamax surge protection was incorporated for everything including the TV. The Universal Remote Control MX-980 was programmed to operate the primary entertainment system along with multiple audio zones for Kitchen, Dining, Patio, Master Bed & Bathroom through the Aton DLA6 zoned speaker selector and volume controller. Additional MX900 was used to support the master suite control within that area. A Lutron Graphic eye was used in the Dining room to manage all of the lighting scenes while the Family room was controlled via the MX-980 remote and RF replacement wall dimmers. This project represents an increasingly popular type of project - combining 2 bedrooms into a single master suite. The house is a 1910 craftsman, with 4 bedrooms on the second floor. Typical of older homes, the master bedroom had a very small bathroom, and very little closet space. The owners decided to sacrifice an adjacent guest bedroom to create a spacious master suite. The new rooms include a large bathroom, with hers and his vanities, separate toilet room, custom tile shower and soaking tub. The extra space also allowed us to install a luxurious custom walk-in closet. Design Criteria: - Increase size and utility of closet space. - Create a large, luxury bathroom with distinctly separate hers/his spaces. Special Features: - Custom tile shower, with frameless glass door - Platform soaking tub w/ custom tile deck - His/Hers vanities with quartz countertops. - Separate toilet room. - Room-sized walk-in closet with custom cabinet system. - Custom 5-Panel doors and built-up mouldings to match the original woodwork.

This Avon Lake master bathroom remodel is located in the heart of Cleveland's West side. The original outdated bathroom was completely gutted and transformed in to an updated traditional space with a tile corner shower, dark hardwood floors, distressed cabinets, and many more beautiful amenities.

2013 NKBA MEDIUM BATH When this young couple purchased their nearly 25-year-old colonial, the master bathroom was the first thing they wanted to change. Drab looking with worn out cabinets and a shower that was too small, it didn’t fit their modern vision for the space. Working with Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes, they came up with a plan to enlarge the bathroom, stealing space from the master bedroom. The new design includes a much larger shower, the addition of a walk-in shower and more. And the results are nothing less than stunning. A new, frameless glass shower stall is equipped with a steam unit, body sprays, rain shower head, and thermostatic valve and control. A double-sided fireplace overlooks a large whirlpool tub (also visible from the master bedroom). Modern wall hanger espresso finish vanities are topped with a marble top and his and her tumbled marble vessel sinks. Two tall linen cabinets bookend the vanity for additional storage. A recessed mirror with back lighting effect was also installed. Large 20” × 20” white marble floor and walls with dark metallic tile were placed on featured walls for added effects. The floors in both the bathroom and closet are heated. An enlarged doorway from bathroom to walk-in closet offers double French glass doors which are pocketed for better traffic flow. Built-in closet systems are his and hers with matching cherry espresso finish cabinetry covered by obscure glass doors and a touch pad lighting system. The middle island features shoe racks and tie and socks storage. Clean, streamlined and functional, the homeowners love this award-winning space.

Our clients drastically needed to update this master suite from the original forest green floral wallpaper to something more clean and simple. They wanted to open up the dated cultured marble enclosed tub and shower and remove all soffits and plant ledges above the vanities. They wanted to explore the possibilities of opening up the shower with glass and look at installing a freestanding bathtub and they definitely wanted to keep the double sided fireplace but update the look of it. First off, we did some minor changes to the bedroom. We replaced the carpet with a beautiful soft multi-color gray low pile carpet and painted the walls a soft white. The fireplace surround was replaced with Carrara 12×12 polished porcelain tile for a more elegant look. Finally, we tore out a corner built in desk and squared off and textured the wall, making it look as though it were never there. We needed to strip this bathroom down and start from scratch. We demoed the cabinets, counter tops, all plumbing fixtures, ceiling fan, track lighting, tub and tub surround, fireplace surround, shower door, shower walls and ceiling above the shower, all flooring, soffits above vanity areas, saloon doors on the water closet and of course the wallpaper! We changed the walls around the shower to pony walls with glass on the upper half, opening up the shower. The tile was lined with Premium Antasit 12×24 tile installed vertically in a 50/50 brick pattern. The shower floor and the floor below the tub is Solo River Grey Pebble mosaic tile. A contemporary Jaclo Collection shower system was installed including a contemporary handshower and square shower head. The large freestanding tub is a white Hydro Sytsems “Picasso” with “Steelnox” wall mounted tub filler and hardware from Graff. All of the cabinets were replaced with Waypoint maple mocha glazed flat front doors and drawers. Quartzmasters Calacatta Grey countertops were installed with 2 Icera “Muse” undermount sinks for a clean modern look. The cabinet hardware the clients chose is ultra modern ”Sutton” from Hardware Resources and the faucet and other hardware is all from the Phylrich “Mix” collection. Pulling it all together, Premium Antasit 12×14 installed floor tile was installed in a 50/50 brick pattern. The pebble tile that was installed in the shower floor was also installed in an oval shape under the bathtub for a great modern look and to break up the solid gray flooring. Addison Oak Wood planks were installed vertically behind the bathtub, below the fireplace surround and behind the potty for a modern finished look. The fireplace was surrounded with Carrara 12×12 polished porcelain, as well as the wood planks. Finally, to add the finishing touches, Z-Lite brushed nickel vanity lights were installed above each vanity sink. The clients are so pleased to be able to enjoy and relax in their new contemporary bathroom!
