A contemporary "Pretty in Pink" bedroom for any girl of any age. The soft, matte blush pink custom accent wall adorned with antique, mercury glass to elevate the room. Relocating from Australia, our clients envisioned a new lakefront home that could accommodate guests and lakefront entertaining. Situated on Pine Lake in West Bloomfield and completed in July 2024, we created new spaces and reimagined old ones. The previous oversized dining area at the front of the home was divided into an entry closet and a larger, more functional powder room.
For this Powder Room, we wanted to minimize impact to the exterior wall and existing window. To do so, we reinforced the new vanity wall and floated the large custom quartzite vanity, and notched the sides out so as to maintain depth at the sink but still allow for the smaller dimension at the window wall.
With earthy tones and an organic vibe, we offset the blush tones with matte black plumbing, hardware and lighting. For added interest, a Phillip Jeffries “waves of wood” wall covering extends along the vanity wall, playing off the curved tones of the hardware hardware. Serene and striking is the perfect balance for this new space!

A chic and modern powder room that balances clean-lined wood textures with warm hues and refined details. The floating fluted walnut vanity adds rich visual interest and is topped with a sleek quartz counter. The wall-mounted brass faucet introduces a polished touch, framed by a soft blush-toned wall and an arched brass mirror. Small touches—like the crisp white towel and greenery—complete this serene moment. A perfect blend of Scandinavian influence and urban sophistication.

A second laundry area was added during an attic renovation project that included a bedroom, full bath and closet. The challenge in the laundry room was to make a small, narrow, windowless space highly functional with a full size washer and dryer, light and bright and maximize storage. The solution was to center the washer/drawer between barn doors that open to the hallway to bedroom to provide easy and full access to appliances. An outlet was added in the cabinet to accommodate charging a small hand held vacuum. Around the corner, built in shelves with woven baskets neatly contain odds and ends, while a folding counter, drawers and rod, provide a concealed area for rolling hampers and a place to hang dry clothing. Accessories personalize and warm the space. The warmer white color scheme in this room and traditional barn doors needed to tie in with the rest of the home while providing a transition to a cleaner, whiter, teen boho-style bedroom, bath and closet.
