This sitting room is an homage to the families past and future. It acts as a study, music room, and sanctuary where they can relax in quiet solitude or listen to the children play piano. A place to gather and share happy memories and celebrate family history. This room houses many of the families personal family memorabilia. The sofa and lounge chair were inherited from their parents and reupholstered in fresh new fabrics to add color that is joyous. The bookcases are filled with family portraits and inherited family objects. The light fixture when lit at night, casts shadows of figures on the walls. It's a reminder of all the family and friends they hold close in their hearts.

Eclectic living room photo in Dallas

This one-of-a-kind wall portrait measures 20" x 16". The handsome and sporting gent with handlebar mustache poses proudly next to his penny farthing bicycle. Perhaps he was posing before the big race, or after with defeat or triumph? We will never know for the image dates about 1890. What we do know is that he is eternally and heroically memorialized in this one of a kind recreated gold-tinted metal portrait. Originally, tintype portraits were made from the 1850's - 1900's, only a few inches tall and were printed with the wet plate collodion process, which these are not. I custom print my tintypes and age them with vintage tools, elbow grease and love so that they are large enough to hang and create a conversation piece in your home or office. All images come from my personal archive. Each piece has character, peculiarities and a weathered look from aging techniques and are meant to feel like they were made in 1800's. No two are alike. It's very difficult to photograph metal, so please don't hesitate to ask any questions regarding these. Scuff's, scrapes, a smidgen of rust are all part of the details. DETAILS • Measures 20" x 16" • Made from 22-gauge steel • Each piece is cut from steel, sanded, primed, printed on press and sealed • 100% made by hand in the U.S.A. HANGING OPTIONS (see last photo) • Mounting bracket on back • Holes drilled in top with antiqued brass or silver chain • Reclaimed rustic barn frame

Gigi's Princess room was inspired by my 2014 Mansion in May nursery design. We used similar elements such as the blush pink and gold colors, tea set, gold crown and the large 8 foot giraffe. We added the Osborne & Little Coronata Star wallpaper to the mix with a custom neutral leopard print area rug. The custom window panels were made of Thibaut fabric called Robin with Samuel and Son's band trim applied at the leading edge. Restoration Hardware Baby & Child furnishings were used in a blush pink linen upholstery. The gold canopy bed and unicorn were curated from Pottery Barn Teen.
