This beautiful and tranquil kitchen was enlarged without adding square footage to the room. By relocating the kitchen table closer to the wall and adding a banquette for seating, we were able to gain 18" of cabinet space which allowed for the wall oven and rotation of the island with seating for 3. The island also contains a wine cooler and extra storage for things every cook needs. Double paneled doors on the cabinets with seeded glass inserts break up the row of cabinets without loosing the symmetrical balance of the design. Drawer space abounds and each cabinet is outfitted with custom interior accessories. A pull out pantry located next to the Sub Zero refrigerator keeps everyday food at the cooks fingertips. A custom wood hood with a large ventilation system tops a 36" professional style range. We used the same fabric on the window treatment over the sink as on the chair cushions. This 1970 original beach home needed a full remodel. All plumbing and electrical, all ceilings and drywall, as well as the bathrooms, kitchen and other cosmetic surfaces. The light grey and blue palate is perfect for this beach cottage. The modern touches and high end finishes compliment the design and balance of this space.

We had a few problems to solve during the gut remodel of this Midcentury kitchen. First, in order to put the dishwasher next to the sink, we had to move the peninsula to the left a bit. Then we hid the microwave by placing it under the peninsula--no one needs to see a big microwave on the counter! We chose a subtle light fixture with black accents to balance the volume of the larger fixture in the dining room, and to match with the faucet. We kept the pulls modern and simple. This galley kitchen, part of a complete home remodel for South Orange County residents, showcases a clean, elegant design that blends classic influences with a bright contemporary atmosphere. Le Gourmet Kitchen reimagined the layout and introduced a subtle curved ceiling design, adding architectural interest and softening the linear nature of the galley form. The resulting space feels open, refined, and thoughtfully balanced. The color palette centers on crisp whites and soft neutrals, creating a calm, light filled environment. The white cabinetry enhances the airy mood, while stainless steel appliances contribute a polished contrast that reinforces the kitchen’s modern functionality. Warm wood flooring grounds the design, introducing natural richness and visual warmth.

The dark wood floors of the kitchen are balanced with white inset shaker cabinets with a light brown polished countertop. The wall cabinets feature glass doors and are topped with tall crown molding. Brass hardware has been used for all the cabinets. For the backsplash, we have used a soft beige. The countertop features a double bowl undermount sink with a gooseneck faucet. This original 1950's kitchen with a pink backsplash and pale blue appliances needed a fresh take. Hardwood floors were installed to match the existing wood on the first floor. Bright white quartz countertops and a white backsplash created using both flat/glossy and matte/raised hex tiles created a textured flower pattern. Slab front cabinets in a mixture of wood and white tackled the storage issues. The pop of orange of the Bertazonni oven is the counter balance to the cool fresh wall color and tons of natural light. A beautiful, functional space to create healthy meals for her family was paramount to our client. We created this fresh space by dropping a touch of Palm Springs into the Pacific Northwest.

Our clients in Tower Lakes, IL, needed more storage and functionality from their kitchen. They were primarily focused on finding the right combination of cabinets, shelves, and drawers that fit all their cookware, flatware, and appliances. They wanted a brighter, bigger space with a natural cooking flow and plenty of storage. Soffits and crown molding needed to be removed to make the kitchen feel larger. Redesign elements included: relocating the fridge, adding a baking station and coffee bar, and placing the microwave in the kitchen island. Advance Design Studio’s Claudia Pop offered functional, creative, and unique solutions to the homeowners’ problems. Our clients wanted a unique kitchen that was not completely white, a balance of design and function. Claudia offered functional, creative, and unique solutions to Chad and Karen’s kitchen design challenges. The first thing to go was soffits. Today, most kitchens can benefit from the added height and space; removing soffits is nearly always step one. Steely gray-blue was the color of choice for a freshly unique look bringing a sophisticated-looking space to wrap around the fresh new kitchen. Cherry cabinetry in a true brown stain compliments the stormy accents with sharp contrasting white Cambria quartz top balancing out the space with a dramatic flair. “We wanted something unique and special in this space, something none of the neighbors would have,” said Claudia. The dramatic veined Cambria countertops continue upward into a backsplash behind three complimentary open shelves. These countertops provide visual texture and movement in the kitchen. The kitchen includes two larder cabinets for both the coffee bar and baking station. The kitchen is now functional and unique in design. “When we design a new kitchen space, as designers, we are always looking for ways to balance interesting design elements with practical functionality,” Claudia said. “This kitchen’s new design is not only way more functional but is stunning in a way a piece of art can catch one’s attention.” Decorative mullions with mirrored inserts sit atop dual sentinel pantries flanking the new refrigerator, while a 48″ dual fuel Wolf range replaced the island cooktop and double oven. The new microwave is cleverly hidden within the island, eliminating the cluttered counter and attention-grabbing wall of stainless steel from the previous space. The family room was completely renovated, including a beautifully functional entertainment bar with the same combination of woods and stone as the kitchen and coffee bar. Mesh inserts instead of plain glass add visual texture while revealing pristine glassware. Handcrafted built-ins surround the fireplace. The beautiful and efficient design created by designer Claudia transitioned directly to the installation team seamlessly, much like the basement project experience Chad and Karen enjoyed previously. “We definitely will and have recommended Advance Design Studio to friends who are looking to embark on a project small or large,” Karen said. “Everything that was designed and built exactly how we envisioned it, and we are really enjoying it to its full potential,” Karen said.
