New build dreams always require a clear design vision and this 3,650 sf home exemplifies that. Our clients desired a stylish, modern aesthetic with timeless elements to create balance throughout their home. With our clients intention in mind, we achieved an open concept floor plan complimented by an eye-catching open riser staircase. Custom designed features are showcased throughout, combined with glass and stone elements, subtle wood tones, and hand selected finishes. The entire home was designed with purpose and styled with carefully curated furnishings and decor that ties these complimenting elements together to achieve the end goal. At Avid Interior Design, our goal is to always take a highly conscious, detailed approach with our clients. With that focus for our Altadore project, we were able to create the desirable balance between timeless and modern, to make one more dream come true.

Home Gym in Calle De Pompas | Room Type: Whole Home (Interior and Outdoor Living) | Project Name: Calle De Pompas | Key Feature: A builder-grade home transformed through updated furnishings, lighting, and outdoor entertaining elements, including a Hestan outdoor grill. Challenge: The home originally featured builder-grade finishes and lacked personality. The goal was to refresh the space after several years of living there and create a home that felt more personal and elevated through updated furnishings and design details. Solution: The home was refreshed with new furniture, updated lighting, and upgraded materials to give the space an entirely new feel while improving functionality and style throughout the interior and outdoor entertaining areas. Materials: Arizona Tile, SapienStone outdoor BBQ countertop, and lighting from Sunlighting. Budget: $75k-$150K | Timeline: Completed June 2020.

Nestled in the small village community of Anmore, 45 minutes away from downtown Vancouver, this stunning 5100 s.f. 5 bedroom French Country residence designed by Barone Developments was recognized by the Canadian Home Builders Association in 2010 as one of the best newly constructed residences in British Columbia. Situated on a half-acre estate, this home features classic French Country architectural design elements and was designed specifically for families who enjoyed entertaining. Two sets of 8’ French doors look out to a spectacular wooded area and lead to a 500 s.f. outdoor living space complete with BBQ, fridge, fireplace and infra-red heaters. A calm modern colour-palette on the upper two floors complements the dark maple hardwood, white shaker-style cabinetry, pewter wrought-iron railing, and Carrara marble surfaces. A warmer colour palette was selected for the lower level of the home which was designed with large gatherings in mind and features a spectacular bar, games and lounge area all just steps away from a 30’ x 50’ Sports Court situated at the rear of the property. The floorplan of this home was incredibly functional and the design was so well received that Barone Developments was hired to recreate this home for clients living in the prestigious Government Road area of Burnaby and in the British Properties of West Vancouver.

Narrow wood ceiling slats, recessed spotlights, and concealed perimeter lighting add depth overhead, while garden views bring daylight and greenery into the calm, uncluttered fitness room.

This is an example of an eclectic porch design in Omaha.

The Hicks - Desh Family Cabana and Shop project consisted of 1,440 SF conditioned area of which 1,050 SF are dedicated to a large cabana family area used for games and socializing. The cabana space opens up to the 576 SF covered colonnaded outdoor patio by way of a 20 ft wide glass folding door, making it a versatile indoor-outdoor family playground. The rest of the indoors includes a dedicated full bathroom - a shower is included, for washing up, with a future swimming pool in mind - as well as a 214 SF fully equipped exercise room surrounded by large windows for plenty of natural light while exercising. A separate structure is also part of this project, consisting of a 2,891 SF oversized, high ceiling garage in the same property - meant to house Victor's beloved cars. The project is located in the City of Bakersfield jurisdiction. Many thanks to Ramon Sanchez and Jorge Gonzalez and Anacapa Engineering for their assistance - the 20-foot wide suspended glass door was certainly a challenge! It was a real pleasure working with Victor on this project. All-in-all, this space will be a great place for family fun and entertaining friends!
