Double islands give flexibility for cooking work space as well as "art" space for a family's young children. The counter top was stain and glue resistant and still elegant. This counter is Silestone. The selected the Cygnus in the suede finish for the two islands and the Helux for the surrounding counter tops. Storage is important, so a large pantry was incorporated as well as a mud room for coats and accessories. A bar area was also created for parties along with a wine refrigerator, plenty of glass storage and a double pull-out trash can. This contemporary farmhouse is located on a scenic acreage in Greendale, BC. It features an open floor plan with room for hosting a large crowd, a large kitchen with double wall ovens, tons of counter space, a custom range hood and was designed to maximize natural light. The stairwells feature more windows to give them an open, airy feel, and custom black iron railings designed and crafted by a talented local blacksmith. This white kitchen is grounded by the dark espresso island. Carrara marble island with wine storage on the side create a beautiful contrast to the white cabinets with the silestone grey countertops and herringbone backsplash tile. This galley style kitchen is a chef's delight with a comfortable golden triangle, exceptional appliances and functional features in the cabinetry. The European style frameless cabinetry consists of premium hard rock maple melamine boxes, doors and drawer fronts, finished in a weathered slate spray stain with satin finish lacquer. Features include soft-close cabinet doors and blu-motion slides in the drawers. The perimeter counter tops are organic white quartz. The rectangular glass tile back splash selection further complements the glass and stainless steel of the cabinetry and appliances, tying the entire look together.
