This whole house remodel included a kitchen & 3 baths for a young growing family.
They were going for a transitional style with a coastal twist. The kitchen was designed using Fieldstone Cabinetry with a light-colored perimeter and a darker island for contrast. The traditional farmhouse style sink is contrasted with a contemporary single control faucet in polished chrome.

Practicality was a priority in the landscape design for a couple with two dogs. The wall and gate were built high enough to keep the dogs safe and undistracted by passers-by. The greenery was selected for durability and easy maintenance with pets.

Relocating to Portland, Oregon from California, this young family immediately hired Amy to redesign their newly purchased home to better fit their needs. The project included updating the kitchen, hall bath, and adding an en suite to their master bedroom. Removing a wall between the kitchen and dining allowed for additional counter space and storage along with improved traffic flow and increased natural light to the heart of the home. This galley style kitchen is focused on efficiency and functionality through custom cabinets with a pantry boasting drawer storage topped with quartz slab for durability, pull-out storage accessories throughout, deep drawers, and a quartz topped coffee bar/ buffet facing the dining area. The master bath and hall bath were born out of a single bath and a closet. While modest in size, the bathrooms are filled with functionality and colorful design elements. Durable hex shaped porcelain tiles compliment the blue vanities topped with white quartz countertops. The shower and tub are both tiled in handmade ceramic tiles, bringing much needed texture and movement of light to the space. The hall bath is outfitted with a toe-kick pull-out step for the family’s youngest member!

This 1960s split-level home desperately needed a change - not bigger space, just better. We removed the walls between the kitchen, living, and dining rooms to create a large open concept space that still allows a clear definition of space, while offering sight lines between spaces and functions. Homeowners preferred an open U-shape kitchen rather than an island to keep kids out of the cooking area during meal-prep, while offering easy access to the refrigerator and pantry. Green glass tile, granite countertops, shaker cabinets, and rustic reclaimed wood accents highlight the unique character of the home and family. The mix of farmhouse, contemporary and industrial styles make this house their ideal home.
Outside, new lap siding with white trim, and an accent of shake shingles under the gable. The new red door provides a much needed pop of color. Landscaping was updated with a new brick paver and stone front stoop, walk, and landscaping wall.

The clients—a chef and a baker—desired a light-filled space with stylish function allowing them to cook, bake and entertain. Craig expanded the kitchen by removing a wall, vaulted the ceiling and enlarged the windows.

This home office doubles as a guest room when needed, as the ottomans easily move aside and the sofa pulls out to a bed.
By layering a large area rug over wall-to-wall carpet, it makes the space feel warm and inviting, whereas without the rug, the room would appear somewhat empty.

We began this project with the idea of making a friendly entryway and social area under the Mulberry tree which provides much needed shade in this hot, mountainous area. The 'red fescue' meadow grass has a cooling effect and the agaves reduce the need for excess water and maintenance.
The backyard has a covered dining area with a corner lounge and fireplace. The large barbecue offers a cantilevered counter for entertaining. The waterfall into the pool is surrounded with bamboo and plantings that emulate the hillside beyond the property. The permeable paving and mix of Vitex and Olive trees provide shade for smaller seating areas to enjoy the variety of succulents throughout the garden

This young professional couple with a child approached us to renovate their home to increase functionality, and personalize it to their needs.
In the Master Ensuite, the dark and uncomfortable shower was replaced with a bright, spacious walk-in shower with a bench. The large corner tub not only took up too much space but was difficult to get into. The cumbersome tub was removed and replaced with a new freestanding tub, made even more luxurious with a gorgeous feature wall including a beautiful mosaic with brass accents and raindrop sconces. A custom-built cabinet with acid-etched glass from countertop to ceiling served the dual purpose of providing storage and concealing the toilet. A custom-built double vanity in White Oak shaker with quartz countertop and backsplash was installed, providing an update and useful storage.
Their daughter required her own Ensuite, and the large Shared Bathroom needed an update. Through careful planning, we were able to create 2 Bathrooms out of the existing Shared Bathroom, creating an updated and functional Shared Bathroom, as well as a much-needed Ensuite, perfect for a child. A new walk-in shower added functionality to the Shared Bathroom, and more importantly, a new tub as requested by our clients was installed for their daughter’s Ensuite. New prefabricated vanities, black and brass plumbing, and light fixtures and porcelain tiles completed these 2 Bathrooms.
A change to the Laundry Room was a must, as the existing Laundry Room was lacking in both counter space and storage space. We were able to provide our clients with an updated Laundry Room, tailored to their needs, including more counter space, and custom-built cabinets. The addition of a bench with cubbies provides a convenient spot to sit and to store outdoor and seasonal items. The laundry machines are stacked, allowing for cabinets to store unsightly folding drying racks, ironing board, and brooms when not in use.
The project was finished on time, and our clients couldn't be happier with these updates that make their home meet their taste and needs, to be enjoyed for many years to come.
