Inspiration for a country master white tile and subway tile gray floor bathroom remodel in Minneapolis with dark wood cabinets, a two-piece toilet, beige walls, a vessel sink, white countertops and flat-panel cabinets

Smokey turquoise glass tiles cover this luxury bath with an interplay of stacked and gridded tile patterns that enhances the sophistication of the monochromatic palette. Floor to ceiling glass panes define a breathtaking steam shower. Every detail takes the homeowner’s needs into account, including an in-wall waterfall element above the shower bench. Griffin Designs measured not only the space but also the seated homeowner to ensure a soothing stream of water that cascades onto the shoulders, hits just the right places, and melts away the stresses of the day. Space conserving features such as the wall-hung toilet allowed for more flexibility in the layout. With more possibilities came more storage. Replacing the original pedestal sink, a bureau-style vanity spans four feet and offers six generously sized drawers. One drawer comes complete with outlets to discretely hide away accessories, like a hair dryer, while maximizing function. An additional recessed medicine cabinet measures almost six feet in height. The comforts of this primary bath continue with radiant floor heating, a built-in towel warmer, and thoughtfully placed niches to hold all the bits and bobs in style.

This guest bathroom has a modern aesthetic with a fun twist. The floor is a porcelain tile with a vintage encaustic cement tile pattern. The wall-mounted (floating) vanity makes the bathroom feel more spacious and further highlights the tile flooring. The light wood vanity and oak slab door create warmth within the modern grey and white palette. The floor tile is accented with a warm color that ties in with the vanity and door.

A talented interior designer was ready for a complete redo of her 1980s style kitchen in Chappaqua. Although very spacious, she was looking for better storage and flow in the kitchen, so a smaller island with greater clearances were desired. Grey glazed cabinetry island balances the warm-toned cerused white oak perimeter cabinetry. Our client Alexandra Becket got her start as a textile designer and has had her wall hangings, paintings and home accessories shown at galleries around her LA hometown. In 2010 she and her husband, Greg Steinberg launched ModOp Design, a home renovation company. A recent project is near and dear to them—their own home in the the Beverly Grove area of LA. It’s near and dear to us at Granada Tile, too—they covered a bathroom floor in cement tile in our Echo Collection’s Sofia pattern. We updated the master bathroom, by opening up the former 3-wall shower and taking down the half wall separating the toilet. The tall vertical accent bands, in the shower and behind the toilet enhance the 8' ceiling height. It feel like this 8' x 14' room doubled in size, thanks to the glass frameless shower enclosure, the sleek freestanding tub and the light colors. This client was so much fun to design for. Their project was all about color, texture and creating a master bedroom and guest bedroom that compliments their passion for traveling and eclectic style. We created a seating area in the master bedroom where the family can gather at night to read and spend time quality time. Their desire for deep color and bold pattern allowed us to create a casual space that is both warm and inviting at the end of a long day. Guests often visit and stay for a bit. They wanted to give their family and friends the same cozy feel in their guest bedroom. We were able to use a combination of patterns, textures and colors with our custom-made bedding and pillows. We also love to repurpose where we can and painted furniture is a great place to start. The depth of color used here is a true reflection of our clients' warm and friendly personality that says "welcome to our home."
