Inspiration for a large craftsman master gray tile and stone slab slate floor and multicolored floor freestanding bathtub remodel in San Diego with recessed-panel cabinets, medium tone wood cabinets, beige walls, an undermount sink, granite countertops and a two-piece toilet

This small bath carries an immense amount of presence. Bold metallic Copper walls and the Black walnut sliding barn door set a unique stage. **See the before pictures.
His/Hers toilets and vanities are in separate compartments.

Having lots of storage opportunities was important for this smaller bathroom design. We were able to fit a nice-sized niche within the shower space with glass shelving for multi-tiered storage. As well as another niche in the wall next to the vanity for additional space to put grab-and-go items.

Creating spaces that make connections between the indoors and out, while making the most of the panoramic lake views and lush landscape that surround were two key goals of this seasonal home’s design. Central entrance into the residence brings you to an open dining and lounge space, with natural light flooding in through rooftop skylights. Soaring ceilings and subdued color palettes give the adjacent kitchen and living room an airy and expansive feeling, while the large, sliding glass doors and picture windows bring the warmth of the outdoors in. The family room, located in one of the two zinc-clad connector spaces, offers a more intimate lounge area and leads into the master suite wing, complete with vaulted ceilings and sleek lines. Three additional guest suites can be found in the opposite wing of the home, providing ideally separate living spaces for a multi-generational family.

An 8 ft. simple teak wood finish main door gives way to a cozy living room doused in natural light streaming from a large window and a cute-as-a-button balconette. The wall between this room and the kitchen has been demolished and the open kitchen now effectively makes this living space appear larger. We laid wooden look tiles on the floor, pre-cut into 4 pieces and organized in the herringbone pattern. This is not only spread across the studio but also seeps up the living room main wall. Upon this wall, hangs an artwork specially commissioned to a young artist to be evocative yet flaunt the yellow and blue that ties the otherwise somber colours together.
Below this is a long chesterfield sofa in electric blue, an armchair upholstered in hounds-tooth with a gold, black and wooden frame. A wood and black glass center table set and a yellow and wooden side table set complete the seating set up. A custom rug in colours of our choice brings a touch of elegance to the room. Beside this is a white and wood console table with a round gold and wood finish mirror. A black skirting flows throughout the walls with a wood detailing as an added design detail.

This family-friendly bathroom highlights the balance of color, texture, and timeless charm. A bold floral wallpaper adds whimsy above classic beadboard wainscoting, while vintage stained glass brings character and filtered natural light. The custom vanity, repurposed from a mid-century dresser, pairs with marble-look porcelain tile and a Persian runner for an elevated, layered feel. Designed for daily function and long-term enjoyment, this space reflects our passion for creating homes with heart and history.

The transformation of this space from a single carport to a fully functional home office space for two was an amazing use of an previously under-utilized area. This homeowner was on a tight budget, so less expensive products that looked high end were employed wherever possible. Recessed panel oak cabinetry was stained a deep espresso color which helped keep the cost down, as well a using a modern Formica laminate countertop as the work surface. Bronze colored mosaic tiles were used to bring some light reflection and color into the workspace.
This space won 2nd Place for Singular Residential Space during the 2010 ASID Arizona South Chapter Design Excellence Awards (Co-designed with James Curran of Curran Interiors) and was featured in Tucson Home Magazine - Spring 2010.

Positioned near the base of iconic Camelback Mountain, “Outside In” is a modernist home celebrating the love of outdoor living Arizonans crave. The design inspiration was honoring early territorial architecture while applying modernist design principles.
Dressed with undulating negra cantera stone, the massing elements of “Outside In” bring an artistic stature to the project’s design hierarchy. This home boasts a first (never seen before feature) — a re-entrant pocketing door which unveils virtually the entire home’s living space to the exterior pool and view terrace.
A timeless chocolate and white palette makes this home both elegant and refined. Oriented south, the spectacular interior natural light illuminates what promises to become another timeless piece of architecture for the Paradise Valley landscape.

This 4-drawer alder base cabinet (which matches the home’s kitchen cabinetry) provides generous storage. Its laminate banjo counter extends over the toilet, providing extra counter space. The toilet location was kept where it was in the original hall bath -- only turning it 90 degrees – this saved plumbing costs. A grab bar on the left improves safety.
