This contemporary staircase serves as a striking focal point in the home's sun-filled entryway. Black mono-beam stringers support thick natural-stained oak treads, creating a bold structural framework. The absence of risers maintains complete openness, allowing natural light from the surrounding private forest to flow freely through the space. Glass panel railings echo the foyer's numerous windows, maintaining visual continuity throughout, while the black metal cap rail reinforces the industrial aesthetic of the stringers. Together, these elements create an anchoring stair system that enhances the contemporary home's connection to light and landscape.

Completed in 2015, this project incorporates a Scandinavian vibe to enhance the modern architecture and farmhouse details. The vision was to create a balanced and consistent design to reflect clean lines and subtle rustic details, which creates a calm sanctuary. The whole home is not based on a design aesthetic, but rather how someone wants to feel in a space, specifically the feeling of being cozy, calm, and clean. This home is an interpretation of modern design without focusing on one specific genre; it boasts a midcentury master bedroom, stark and minimal bathrooms, an office that doubles as a music den, and modern open concept on the first floor. It’s the winner of the 2017 design award from the Austin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and has been on the Tribeza Home Tour; in addition to being published in numerous magazines such as on the cover of Austin Home as well as Dwell Magazine, the cover of Seasonal Living Magazine, Tribeza, Rue Daily, HGTV, Hunker Home, and other international publications.

The Ventura Hardwood Floors Collection with our NuOil® Finish from Hallmark Hardwoods is finished with NuOil® which employs a revolutionary new technology. The finish has unique performance characteristics and durability that make it a great choice for someone who wants the visual character that only oil can provide. Oil finishes have been used for centuries on floors and furniture. NuOil® uses proprietary technology in the application of numerous coats of oil finish in the factory that make it the industry leader in wear-ability and stain resistance in oil finish.
Due to the unique hybrid multi-coat technology of NuOil®, it is not necessary to apply an additional coat of oil at time of installation. That can be reserved for a later date when it becomes desirable to refresh and renovate the floor.

Two cabinet colors, too beautiful! This kitchen remodel in Long Beach, New York state, is both traditional and unexpected. Lori Kurn, a designer for Coastal Cabinet Works, skillfully employed green walls, cream accents, and dark cherry cabinets to create this beautiful kitchen. Lori specified Fieldstone Cabinetry's Bainbridge door style in Cherry finished in a color called Chestnut with Ebony glaze for the perimeter cabinets. This was an excellent choice to anchor the numerous subtle color transitions in this kitchen. The island is also the Bainbridge door style, this time in Maple finished in a color called Buttercream with Chocolate glaze. Stunning work Lori! In addition to docking a boat, many of these boathouses feature beautiful sitting rooms, bathrooms, exercise rooms and grand bedrooms. Every element of this kitchen remodel was purposefully planned to give these homeowners a classic yet modern farmhouse feeling. The white shaker cabinets, rustic wood accents, shiplap detailing, and subway tile backsplash give this kitchen a timeless appeal. We layered modern details including black gridded windows, and matte black fixtures and hardware. The L-shape layout of the kitchen makes daily use and entertaining a breeze. The expansive 9-foot island provides generous counterspace, extensive storage, and a place for guests or children to gather round. Numerous windows allow for an abundance of natural light and captivating panoramic views. These distinctive elements enhance the overall allure of this design. Throughout the base cabinets, we chose custom organization solutions to maximize the function and capacity of the lower cabinets. Modern white appliances with brushed bronze hardware give the kitchen a clean and uninterrupted look. Barn light fixtures bring a touch of farmhouse flair. A striking yet subtle veined quartz carries the light and airy feeling throughout the kitchen and are incredibly durable for this young family.
Updated flooring, windows, and fixtures, along with a fresh coat of paint throughout the home create a seamless renovation that brings continuity from one space to the next. New rustic exterior doors tie in with the wood elements of the kitchen & the hand-hewn beams that partition the open concept. The fireplace in the family room was entirely renovated as well, featuring custom built-ins on either side, a brick tile surround, and knotty alder mantel. These elements come together to provide the warmth and coziness this family wanted. The shiplap detailing in the built-ins and above the fireplace add to the collective farmhouse charm.

From sumptuous pastel plush to rugged berber tweeds, carpet is a universally popular floor covering, Broadloom has long been synonymous with comfort and luxury, but in today's eclectic room schemes, carpeting is just one of numerous soft options for a high-fashion floor.

The exterior of the home is an amazing compilation of triangles, composing an intricate network of overlapping shapes, yielding numerous outdoor, elevated spaces with expansive views of the surrounding vineyard., the pool and the 15 thousand gallons of well water and the abundant solar panels.

What a fun yet challenging project. After numerous space plan options, we've finally decided on removing a wall and switching it out with cabinetry that is functional for a kitchen and the dining area. We've added a peninsula at a 120 degree corner to expand the working surface, add bar seating and still keep the space open and inviting from adjoining spaces. Blueberry oak cabinets with satin brass hardware are balanced out with white quartz countertop and gray uppers. Wide plank vinyl helped keep this space masculine and formal while the stairs add a softer touch that's being complimented by warm tone furniture. To tie in warmth and masculinity, we've opted for custom miter-cut shelves in the corner. Windows give us great light and a corner cabinet can block a lot of it out, so floating shelves seemed most appropriate (no visible hardware). With a lot of material and colors, space still seems cohesive and inviting. Very formal, yet ready to be used for entertaining and day to day living.

Beth Ann Rhoads of Reico Kitchen and Bath in Millsboro, DE collaborated with Mast Construction to design a transitional style kitchen featuring Masterpiece cabinetry in the Sawyer door style.
The kitchen features Maple in a Canvas finish on the perimeter cabinets with a kitchen island in Cherry with a Barley finish. The countertops are Cambria Windermere.
Additionally, the kitchen includes Nashville Organic Clay Sand 2x10 Subway Tile.
“The clients were a delight to work with. After previously completing a bathroom project together, they contacted me to remodel their kitchen,” said Beth.
"To improve accessibility in the kitchen, we decided to open up the existing pantry, providing easier access for the client. Addressing their storage needs was crucial, so we incorporated numerous drawers and cabinets, complete with cutlery dividers, pegged drawer organizers, and utensil trays. With a ceiling height of 120 inches, we maximized storage by stacking wall cabinets, reserving space for items not used daily. To enhance the pantry area, we installed a glass cabinet as a focal point. Witnessing such a transformation and the joy it brings to the homeowners is truly remarkable."
