This 3 BR, 3 1/2 bath home allows the owners to live on one level most of the time. The Master Suite is on the main level along with the Living Room, Kitchen, Dining, pantries, Sun Room and service areas. The upper level houses two ample bedrooms while the lower level supports a rec center, media room, wine cellar, shop and full wet bar. Conceived as a Great Room house, the main level is designed as one seamless space that flows onto an ample deck overlooking the rear yard. We also incorporated a variety of green building techniques - photo-voltaic shingles on the roof of the garage to generate a portion of the home's energy, a super insulated building envelope, rain water harvesting, high performance windows and doors, a high efficiency heat pump, low flow bath & kitchen fixtures, Energy Star appliances and LED lighting - that greatly reduced this structure's carbon footprint. All of the strategies amounted to a 30% reduction in the energy consumption in this home relative to comparable structures.

This pool and spa is built in an affluent neighborhood with many new homes that are traditional in design but have modern, clean details. Similar to the homes, this pool takes a traditional pool and gives it a clean, modern twist. The site proved to be perfect for a long lap pool that the client desired with plenty of room for a separate spa. The two bodies of water, though separate, are visually linked together by a custom limestone raised water feature wall with 10 custom Bobe water scuppers. Quality workmanship as required throughout the entire build to ensure the automatic pool cover would remain square the entire 50 foot length of the pool. Features of this pool and environment that enhance the aesthetic appeal of this project include: -Glass waterline tile -Glass seat and bench tile -Glass tile swim lane marking on pool floor -Custom limestone coping and deck -PebbleTec pool finish -Synthetic Turf Lawn This outdoor environment cohesively brings the clean & modern finishes of the home seamlessly to the outdoors to a pool and spa for play, exercise and relaxation. Aesthetic Value: The designer wanted a nautical themed stair that fit a small space and gave the area a more open feel than the original outdated stair. Mirror polished stainless steel and Honduran Mahogany accomplished the objectives. Stair Safety: Each tread is skewed but careful layout provided for a very comfortable stride when traversing the stair. Quality of Workmanship: Solid Honduran Mahogany treads and rail. Horizontal bar balustrade and custom machined posts are mirror polished stainless steel. Technical Challenge: Providing a structure that was freestanding on one side of the lower portion and completely freestanding on the upper portion. Laying out the stair to fit the small well hole and still feel comfortable.

This project offers an outdoor entertainment area for multiple uses. This 2-level deck with the screened gazebo and the concrete paver patio shows the broad spectrum of what we can do for your backyard. The composite decking and railing offers years of carefree living. The 12ft. screened gazebo means bug-free nights, and the cozy patio with the fire bowl is just right for enjoying smore's with the family. Planters and benches as well as steps down to the lower yard finish off this project. Lighting on the steps and railing posts offers safety and ambiance for the summer nights outdoors.

The guest bath had been a do-it-yourself project of a former homeowner and the materials and workmanship did not match the quality of the home. The old shower bench made it almost impossible to get in and out of the shower because it forced the door so close to the toilet. The bathroom was gutted and has all new fixtures and finishes.
