Designed by Dave Wilhide of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Woodbridge, VA in collaboration with Professional Home Improvements, this bathroom remodel features a transitional style inspired bathroom design. The bathroom cabinets are Merillat Classic in the Glenrock door style in a Cotton finish. The bathroom vanity top is a MSI Carrera Lumos quartz countertop. The bathroom also includes Meram Blanc Carrara tile for the shower floor, baseboard and tub wall tile; Seta shower wall tile; and Home Choice Ash floor tile. “I am not one to like change. So when we decided to completely remodel our bathroom, it was a challenge,” said the client. “There are just so many options and it is easy to become overwhelmed. That is why we chose Reico to help. This first floor remodel was a GAME - CHANGER for this house. We took down more than 3 walls and installed a massive support beam. The first floor of this home went from cramped and disconnected to the perfect space for family gatherings. After the space was opened up, we proceeded with a gorgeous kitchen remodel with a modern geometric theme. The hardwood floors transition uniquely and beautifully into the hexagonal floor tile. The back splash is simple and lovely, also following the geometric theme with the hex tile. The last hexagonal touch to this kitchen is its unique hardware. This remodel had several modern touches, without overwhelming the "homey" feeling of a fireplace and hardwoods. All in all, this remodel created the perfect place for entertaining and raising a family.

We added a exterior stair and roof deck to this 1904 house, and the clients can now see views of the Cascades, the lake, and even Husky Stadium. It was a delicate operation, since we didn't want to overwhelm the house, and we needed an internal exterior stair (accessed from the second floor of the home).

This secondary bedroom offers a bright and comfortable space with soft pink walls that add warmth without overwhelming the room. Plush carpeting and a ceiling fan enhance everyday comfort, while large windows bring in natural light and keep the space feeling open and inviting. Built in 2023 by Cutuli Homes, this custom detached accessory dwelling unit was designed as a true mother-in-law home—a private, beautifully finished residence that allows three generations of one family to live close together while maintaining their own individual spaces. The DADU was built as a companion to the homeowners' main residence, which Cutuli Homes had extensively remodeled and expanded two years earlier. Rather than treating the new structure as an afterthought, the goal was to create a home that felt architecturally connected to the existing property. Its traditional exterior, white siding, steeply pitched roof, generous windows and carefully proportioned trim give the small residence the character of an established home. The project was created for the homeowners' mother, who downsized from her large lakefront home in the Midwest to move closer to her family and young grandchild. The result captures one of the greatest advantages of multigenerational living: family and shared community just steps away, balanced with the independence, privacy and comfort of a home of her own. Inside, every inch was carefully considered. The compact footprint feels remarkably open thanks to a vaulted, white-paneled ceiling, abundant natural light, tall windows and an open vertical design that draws the eye upward. A loft level expands the usable living space without sacrificing the airy feeling of the main floor. Traditional white Shaker-style cabinetry provides extensive built-in storage throughout the home and gives the interior a clean, timeless architectural character. In the kitchen, cabinetry extends upward to take advantage of the available height, while warm neutral countertops and a textured herringbone-pattern backsplash introduce subtle depth and contrast. Stainless-steel appliances are thoughtfully incorporated into the compact layout, creating a highly functional kitchen without overwhelming the living space. One of the home's most charming features is the intimate living area tucked beneath custom built-in cabinetry. A built-in upholstered window-seat-style sofa with drawers below transforms what could have been unused space into a comfortable place to read, relax or visit. Across from it, a contemporary fireplace is integrated into a compact feature wall, with a wood display ledge above providing space for artwork, plants and personal collections. Warm wood accents soften the predominantly white interior. Natural wood ledges, shelving, flooring and the loft ladder bring warmth and texture to the rooms, while greenery and personal furnishings give the home the comfortable character of a full-size residence rather than a conventional accessory dwelling unit. The private sleeping area demonstrates the same emphasis on intelligent space planning. Built-in cabinetry surrounds the bed and continues overhead, providing substantial storage without requiring bulky freestanding furniture. A softly textured wall treatment, warm wood shelving and abundant natural light make the compact bedroom feel inviting and finished. Above, the loft takes advantage of the dramatic roofline with a white tongue-and-groove style paneled ceiling extending from wall to wall. Built-in storage is incorporated beneath the sloped portions of the ceiling, turning otherwise difficult spaces into useful cabinetry while preserving an open central area for a desk, music, hobbies or additional flexible living space. Even the exterior reflects the home's attention to detail. Large windows bring daylight deep into the interior, while the private patio extends the living space outdoors. Traditional siding and trim allow the DADU to complement the architecture of the main residence while still having an identity of its own. At every turn, this project demonstrates that downsizing does not have to mean compromising on craftsmanship, beauty, storage or individuality. Through custom cabinetry, creative built-ins, vertical space planning and carefully considered architectural details, Cutuli Homes transformed a modest footprint into an elegant and highly personalized residence. More than simply a DADU, this is a thoughtfully designed multigenerational home—close enough for grandparents, parents and grandchildren to share everyday life, while giving everyone the privacy and independence of having a place of their own.

When the owner first moved into this property, the backyard was overwhelming and underused. He wanted to create a space for easy, frequent entertaining. The first step was a large pool & guest house built perpendicular to the main house to create a private, semi-enclosed courtyard. Next we designed and constructed an over-sized rectangular swimming pool & spa with minimal interior features and extensive lighting so that the size of the pool would become the focal point of the outdoor living space. This apartment was designed for a young professional creating his first real home - a place where he could work, relax, and feel grounded. His priorities were warmth, functionality, and comfort, all within a compact one-bedroom layout. Since he works hybrid, we transformed a portion of his bedroom into a calm and focused home office, seamlessly integrated without overwhelming the space. Warm wood tones, soft blue accents, and smart storage solutions create a cozy yet modern atmosphere that feels both personal and efficient - the perfect foundation for the next chapter of his life.

This Rear Garden originally designed by Kim Hoyt RLA was re- planted with a palette of easy care perennials , ground-cover and small trees. The Bluetone patio accented by brick complements the original stacked stone wall. Large urns and bowls filled with evergreens provide a focal point in the space. Custom BBQ and dining seat maximize the use of space in this urban garden. The natural bamboo fence provides privacy and texture without overwhelming the space.

Classic white and black contrasting tile give this interior bathroom a pop of contrast and the border on the floor gives an extra layer of detail without overwhelming the simplicity of the space. The subway tiles, while in a traditional pattern, are a larger scale to give it a more contemporary feel.

Something that has resplendence is gorgeous in a grand and brilliant way. We were asked to design a kitchen that looked beautiful, accommodated large family gatherings, functioned as a cooks' kitchen should, and met a very real need for accessibility. Larger than normal space between cabinets was needed for wheel chair accessibility, as well as sinks that allow for roll up use. This design was accomplished by taking in the original carport, which had been replaced prior by a larger parking space (which can be seen through the windows in the keeping area). By adding white cabinetry to brighten the space, a warm and welcoming feel was achieved without overwhelming the pallet with dark stains. The results speak for themselves.

Canyon Oak Pools designed and built this custom pool and spa in Prosper, Texas, with exceptional attention to the masonry and glass tile details throughout the project. Thoughtful landscaping frames the long, streamlined pool and creates privacy without overwhelming the space, while multiple deck areas provide room for lounging and entertaining. This Prosper project showcases the craftsmanship and finish details that can elevate a clean geometric pool design into a truly custom backyard.
