Fantastic remodeled cottage bathroom. Opening the ceiling to a cathedral ceiling made the room expand. Adding knotty pine keeps the cottage feel. Marble look floor and blue pearl granite add a upscale touch.

Cabinets were updated with an amazing green paint color, the layout was reconfigured, and beautiful nature-themed textures were added throughout. The bold cabinet color, rich wood finishes, and warm metal tones featured in this kitchen are second to none!

Southwest meets the Northwest. This client wanted a real rustic southwest style. The perimeter is rustic rough sawn knotty alder and the Island is hand painted rustic pine. The wide plank wood top is the center piece to this kitchen. Lots of colorful Mexican tile give depth to the earth tones. All the cabinets are custom made by KC Fine Cabinetry.

Over time, a well-loved painted furniture piece will show distinctive signs of wear and use. Each chip and dent tells a story of its history through layers of paint. With its beautifully aged surface and chipped edges, Dura Supreme’s Heritage Paint collection is designed to resemble a cherished family heirloom.
Dura Supreme artisans hand-detail the surface to create the look of time worn distressing. Finishes are layered to emulate the look of furniture that has been refinished over the years. A layer of stain is covered with a layer of paint with special effects to age the surface. The paint is then chipped away along corners and edges to create, the signature look of Heritage Paint.
Dura Supreme’s Heritage Paint collection of finishes can be selected on Maple wood for a smooth surface or Knotty Alder for a more rugged, rustic look. This kitchen island is a great example of the rustic Knotty Alder choice. A beautiful palette of soft muted finish colors is available on any of Dura Supreme's raised or flat panel cabinet door styles to create the perfect focal point for your home.

Desiring a “lived in” look, the homeowner selected different woods and finishes for each area of the kitchen. The perimeter cabinetry boasts knotty alder cabinets with a light glaze, which allows the character of the wood to show through. In keeping with the feeling of a kitchen put together over time, the vent hood is wrapped in stucco and finished with an old beam supported by intricate antique corbels. The island is constructed from alder, and is painted a light green with creamy accents highlighting the unique raised diamond inserts on the doors. Designed to accommodate a large family, the large island has a raised bar and seating for four. Across from the island sits the entertaining/bar area. The Bentwood cabinetry was designed by Kori Shurley of the Kitchen & Bath Cottage and has a French Country flair similar to the island, and is painted midnight black with creamy accents highlighting the raised panel inserts. This bar area boasts a wine refrigerator, as well as an appliance garage tucked into the wall and surrounded by a red bead board backsplash.
Tucked behind the kitchen sits the Butler’s Pantry, which is used to house the pantry, as well as an additional refrigerator, sink and dishwasher. This utilitarian space is handsomely outfitted with black painted cabinetry stacked high to maximize storage.

The U-shaped Kitchen opens off of the Living Room / Dining Room creating a T shaped Gathering Space perfect for Entertaining. Vaulted Ceilings with Decorative Reclaimed Timber Beams and Rafters give a Rustic Old-World feel, adding to the Eclectic style of this home. A Large Island with Seating provides added work and dining space and allows the homeowners to engage their guests while working in the Kitchen. Casement and Fixed Windows over the sink look out to the River View. Large Double Hung Windows at the side of the kitchen were kept low to the countertop for use as a pass-thru between the Kitchen and the Covered Grilling Patio outside. Salvaged and Scavenged Treasures of the homeowner are incorporated throughout this home including the Nautical Pendant Lights over the kitchen island and the Nautically Themed, Cast-Iron Fireback incorporated inset into the backsplash tile above the range. The Black Painted Bell-shaped Hood Surround, Character Alder Wood Sink Base & Island and the Knotty Pine Paneling on the island and under the pass-thru counter provide contrast to the Blue Painted Shaker Style Cabinets at the Kitchen perimeter. The Chevron Pattern of the knotty pine paneling on the Island repeats throughout the home and is also featured on the Living Room Fireplace surround on the opposite side of the Gathering Space in the Living Room.
