Due to the unique hybrid multi-coat technology of NuOil®, it is not necessary to apply an additional coat of oil at time of installation. That can be reserved for a later date when it becomes desirable to refresh and renovate the floor. With NuOil® you get the best of all worlds: durability, amazing visuals, and a natural finish.

Kitchen with new dolomite countertops and island:
Dolomites are slightly harder than your average marble but are much softer than granite, therefore they can scratch.
In addition, dolomites will hold up better than marble to acids and etching, but they can still etch. Dolomites make a great looking countertop and can be used in the kitchen, bathroom, etc.
Dolomite, also known as dolostone and dolomite rock, is a sedimentary rock composed primarily of the mineral dolomite. Dolomite is found in sedimentary basins worldwide.
Dolomite, like most natural stones is porous and needs to be sealed to prevent staining. Although it performs better than true marble, it can scratch and etch, so know your options

Here is an example of the multiple uses this space has. The two custom dining tables are separated here, creating two additional seating areas aside from the smaller, more intimate table setting. Performance fabrics allow for greater durability against sun-fading when selecting upholstery for south facing condos with large windows.

2024 interior design trends are moving beyond the classic white and gray toward warmer tones that create an ambience of comfort and connection with nature. This year, the spotlight has been on warm tones paired with green accents that are both inviting and rejuvenating. This Stoneunlimited Kitchen and Bath client's home serves as a beautiful example getting back to warmer neutral tones of incorporates deep chocolate tones, warm browns and taupe to create a harmonious feeling as you walk through each space. Creamy gray painted walls are the perfect backdrop for the bolder design elements found in the exposed beams, backsplash, two tone cabinetry and accent walls.
This home remodel has been inspired by nature. The dynamic sage green paint on the wall of the dedicated beverage station and in the living room bring life to each space. Our client has tastefully placed accent foliage and other decor throughout the home that has brought the outdoors into each room. Textures in the backsplash, natural wood grains in the cabinetry and exposed beams create a forest feel which is both inviting and peaceful.
Stoneunlimited Kitchen and Bath Remodeling had the opportunity to help this customer achieve their dream of a fully remodeled main floor which included: kitchen, guest bathroom, dining room, kitchenette, pantry, living room and office. Extensive carpentry work was performed in what used to be a dinning and sitting room on the main level. A large wall was removed, and a new wall was created with a door entry and a recessed beverage station was installed with two tone upper and lower cabinets that house a small fridge. The upper cabinets with lighting were installed inside the glass upper cabinetry to add layered lighting to the space. Three wood beams were installed in the ceiling and a new kitchenette/pantry area was created behind the newly constructed wall. The kitchenette/pantry area includes a tall storage area as well as upper and lower cabinetry with a sink and small fridge. The kitchenette pantry is a perfect place to house countertop mixers, crock pots, air fryers or other small appliances that are accessible for immediate use. The main kitchen tops remain free of small appliance clutter and the countertops become an expansive workspace.
The existing kitchen had a peninsula that made the area feel confined, prior to the kitchen remodel portion of the project. The peninsula was removed, and the fridge was relocated to the opposite wall, across the room to create a more open feel. Although a working island was installed, the flow through the kitchen feels more open and fluid than it did previously. The work island houses the microwave as well as additional storage. Spice and utensil pull outs to the left and right side of the range keep prepping utensils and seasonings conveniently tucked away.
Other projects that were completed included in the home included new cabinetry and floating shelves that were installed in the living area. The two-tone aesthetic of the cabinetry is consistent with the other areas of the home and merge beautifully with the natural stacked stone feature in the fireplace wall. Darker lower cabinets anchor the room while lighter warmer upper tones provide a lighter feel without overpowering the space. The guest bathroom off of the living area was also remodeled. Taupe tones were introduced with the natural warm tones of newly installed cabinetry and countertops to maximize the storage space. 6 1/2 x 40" nut brown plank tile was installed and can be seen throughout the expanse of the first floor, giving the appearance of wood but are porcelain which are highly durable and easy to maintain. The homeowner also opted to have their main stairwell redone which included removing existing carpet, installation of stair treads and hardwood for the steps and landing area which included sanding and staining.
Overall, the interior remodel of the main floor of this client's home was extensive and the impact of the changes that were made are incredible! The choices that were made with our client make this remodel not only specialized and customized to their everyday needs but a beautiful representation of how a dream home remodel can be achieved and accomplished. This home remodel checks all the boxes for what's in trend in 2024.
Here are some of the items used in this project:
Cabinetry: Waypoint Living Spaces: Cherry Wood Slate and Maple Wood Rye
Countertops: Natural Quartzite Taj Mahal
Tile: Cevica Cottage Off White, Dom Logwood Nut, San Marcos Tortora
Sinks: Bianco Performa
Faucets: Delta Trinsic
Appliances: Zline

AIR DOOR
The AIR door has a ventilation filter in the concealed edge (bottom edge for the doors of base units and cupboards, top edge for wall unit doors) and holes in the door's internal panel. Thanks to the filter fitted, the air entering the interior is cleaner. What's more, when kitchen units fitted with the Air Door are located close to heat sources (such as an oven) or close to zones with variations in air pressure (like the hood), the door performs even better, because it increases the air exchange inside the unit, ensuring optimal conservation of foods. In addition, the perimeter seal provides airtight door closure, keeping dust and dirt out. It should be noted that not all the kitchen's component elements are fitted with the Air Door. It is not fitted on elements on which the internal air recycling system would be ineffective due to their specific function. Examples include drainer, hood and oven units, dishwasher and refrigerator doors and indoor cupboard doors.
Patented system.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Club installs AirField Systems AirDrain.
The AirField Systems AirDrain for Golf Greens installed at Robert Trent Jones, home of The President’s Cup, continues to perform since 2004. Stronger roots, healthier turf, superior drainage and the ability to make it’s own nearly perfect perched water table without organics make AirDrain Golf Greens by AirField the choice of the most discriminating golf course architects, designers, owners and superintendents – and the savings in time, installation and maintenance make it the choice for everyone. View AirDrain Golf Greens in action after years of use at one of the most prestigious courses on the east coast.
Thru a research project conducted at Texas A&M, it was concluded that you can reduce your irrigation needs using AirField Systems AirDrain. The five year research project was jointly funded by the United States Golf Association and AirField Systems and was a collaborative effort between Texas A&M, AirField Systems and the United States Golf Association. The data from the research showed that the AirField Systems drainage profile provided between one to three more days of plant available water than a United States Golf Association recommended gravel and sand profile.
In addition, AirDrain by AirField Systems can significantly save on installation time because much less excavation is required compared to the traditional gravel drainage layers that have a much deeper profile. AirDrain arrives on site in 53” trailers, palletized and ready for install. Unlike gravel drainage, with AirDrain there is no need for heavy dump trucks that can compact your golf course.
Benefits of an AirField System Design for Golf Greens include:
1 to 3 more days of plant available water stored in the root zone (depending on climate)
Significantly reduces daily irrigation needs (as told to us by our customers)
Healthier turf / Stronger root system (as told to us by our customers)
100% Vertical Drainage under the entire playing surface
AirDrain is a 100% recycled copolymer with the impact modifier “metallocene” qualifying it as a “No Break” plastic
Helps eliminate standing water / Simplifies maintenance (as told to us by our customers)
Minimal site disturbance / Far less excavation and disposal
Several Installation days are saved over a gravel installation
Compact shipping that reduces overall storage and transportation costs
An AirDrain System sand profile creates its own perched water table without peat moss or clay
AirDrain’s sand profile and minimal organics puts it at very little risk for issues of mold or disease

Columbus Design-Build, Kitchen & Bath Remodeling, Historic Renovations

This historic home renovation off Music Row in Nashville underwent a full gut and remodel, transforming it from a residential space into a high-end commercial property while preserving its architectural charm. The renovation included refurbished hardwood flooring, blending timeless appeal with durable hardwood flooring solutions that ensure long-lasting performance.
The kitchen remodel features state-of-the-art appliances, modern countertops, custom cabinetry design, and modern kitchen hardware, offering a sleek yet functional layout. The addition of new cabinets and storage solutions maximizes efficiency, making the space ideal for commercial use. Recessed lighting and chandeliers provide elegant illumination throughout, enhancing the interior’s refined aesthetic.
One of the standout features of this renovation is the three-story deck, designed with custom construction and deck building expertise. Built for both leisure and functionality, the custom deck seamlessly integrates an elevator, providing accessibility and convenience for guests and employees. The architectural planning ensured that the outdoor space remains both practical and visually striking.
As Nashville general contractors specializing in luxury renovations, commercial and residential remodeling, and design-build projects, we focus on custom millwork, eco-friendly renovations, and high-end homes. Whether modernizing historic homes or crafting custom construction solutions, our work reflects superior craftsmanship, innovative design, and a commitment to excellence.

This stunning kitchen transformation in St Albans is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can completely reimagine a space.
Our clients wanted to modernise and brighten their kitchen while keeping utility appliances discreetly out of sight.
For this project, we used our EasyTouch handleless cabinetry in a sophisticated pairing of Sand and Taupe, bringing a subtle contrast and warmth to the room.
The base units were finished in Taupe Grey, grounding the space with a sleek, contemporary tone. The overhead cabinets in Sand added a lighter, beige-toned lift that opens up the room beautifully. The result is a refined, layered look that feels both modern and inviting.
Algarve Quartz worktops in Blanco Snow elevate the design with a crisp, polished surface, complemented by a matching quartz splashback behind the hob for a seamless finish.
To maximise both form and function, we extended the peninsular area for additional worktop space and created a special freezer larder unit alongside a stylish wine and coffee niche. Siemens appliances were chosen for their sleek design and advanced performance, which are seamlessly integrated into the layout.
The result is a beautifully streamlined kitchen with hidden functionality, soft tones, and a layout that works perfectly for modern living.

Designed for both productivity and everyday living, this fully custom dual office balances function, symmetry, and elevated design.
The layout was intentionally created to support two dedicated workstations while maximizing storage without overwhelming the space. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry provides a mix of open and closed storage, allowing for both display and hidden organization. Integrated lighting enhances visibility and creates a clean, refined finish throughout.
At the center of the space, a custom waterfall island extends the work surface while concealing a built-in filing system, offering both accessibility and a streamlined look. The design maintains visual balance on both sides of the room, ensuring each workspace feels equally considered and functional.
A secondary built-in area adds flexibility, doubling as a coffee bar or additional workstation, making the space adaptable for work, school, and daily routines.
Crafted with a combination of high-quality materials and tailored to the client’s needs, this project reflects a thoughtful approach to modern home office design where performance and aesthetics work seamlessly together.

M-S Pro Architects announce the completion of an indoor swimming pool in a state-of-the-art, single storey family home set in a picturesque location on the outskirts of Bratislava - one of Europe’s youngest capital cities. Kebony, a beautiful wood recommended by leading architects, was chosen to craft the ceiling of the swimming pool, which is designed to emulate rippling waves as well as for the terrace deck and structural beams.
Sustainability and a desire to recreate the close proximity often seen between wood and water in the natural environment were primary focuses in the design of this project. This led a requirement for a low maintenance wood, compatible humidity and with advanced durability, for the swimming pool ceiling. In addition, a high level of precision when cutting the wood was required in order to achieve the desired appearance of waves.
Supplied by Leading Market, Kebony was carefully selected for the pool ceiling, which consists of 490 lamellae of timber, due to its versatility, durability and environmental credentials. Kebony was also installed throughout the exterior of this property, both for the spacious outdoor terrace and the exterior and interior beams. One of the reasons to choose Kebony was the unified look of wood in all these different applications.
Developed in Norway, the patented Kebony technology uses an environmentally friendly process, which permanently enhances the properties of sustainable softwood with a bio-based liquid derived from agricultural crop waste. By polymerising the wood’s cell wall with furfuryl alcohol, the wood gains greatly improved durability and dimensional stability, giving it characteristics similar to those of tropical hardwood. In creating a wood with comparable properties to tropical hardwood that can be grown in a FSC certified, sustainably managed forest, the demand for tropical woods is reduced, allowing timber to once again be an important part of sustainable construction.
Tomáš Hubinský, Lead Architect at M-S Pro, commented: “From conception through to completion, the creation of this ceiling has been a real feat. Despite the challenges faced by such an intricate design, Kebony was the perfect material to convey our desired effect of waves rippling along the ceiling. We will continue to incorporate Kebony into our interior and exterior designs, with wood fast becoming the first choice material for all architects.”
Mette Valen, Sales Manager Norway at Kebony, explained: “The distinctive nature of this design cleverly portrays the capability of Kebony, demonstrating both the aesthetic and performance qualities of the product. We would be honoured to work with M-S Pro in the future and look forward to seeing how they utilise Kebony in their future projects.”

From Mid-Century Classic to the Present
An iconic design updated with comfort, function, and flow for today.
A Remodel That Balances Past and Present
What started as a desire to update a classic Eichler soon became an exploration of how Mid-Century Modern design can successfully evolve for today. The client, a tech professional with a passion for scuba diving and underwater photography, wanted a home that would both honor its original character and feel tailored to his daily life. A lifelong technology enthusiast, he still owns the very first Mac desktop he saved up for as a teenager working at Radio Shack, a detail that underscores his appreciation for design that melds function and form.
Honoring Separation While Expanding Possibility
Unlike many contemporary remodels where walls are opened up to create expansive living spaces, this project took a more restrained approach. The client valued the defined rooms of the original plan and wanted to preserve as much wall space as possible for displaying his large-format underwater photography. The emphasis was not on dramatic spatial reinvention, but on thoughtful refinements. Klopf Architecture shaped a gallery-like backdrop while also expanding the primary suite, modernizing materials and fixtures throughout the home, and improving the functionality and layout of the kitchen. The finished home feels at once timeless and renewed, an Eichler that continues to inspire while fully supporting the lifestyle of its present-day owner.
A major turning point came mid-design. The original project brief had not included an addition, but as the reconfiguration of the primary bedroom and bath unfolded, it became clear that an expansion was the best approach to achieve the client’s vision of a more spacious suite. Fortunately, the adjustment came at a stage when revisions were still manageable and was integrated seamlessly, showing how thoughtful course corrections can strengthen a project rather than hinder it.
Navigating Challenges With Precision
The design development included multiple conceptual rounds, balancing preservation with subtle expansion. During construction, an existing post previously thought to be load-bearing turned out not to be. The structural engineer was able to pivot quickly, and both the post and the cross beam that had been intended to replace it could be omitted, allowing the original rhythm of the Eichler beam bays to be preserved.
Sustainability was not just a checklist item, but a way to align the home with the client’s values of simplicity, efficiency, and long-term functionality. R-38 roof insulation reduced energy usage, solar panels with battery storage provided independence and resilience, and passive comfort strategies eliminated the need forenergy-intensive air conditioning. An electric vehicle charger and an on-demand hot water recirculation system (with call buttons as opposed to having constant circulation) add to the home’s long-term efficiency factors. Together, these moves created a home that is quieter, more comfortable, and better equipped for the future, qualities that supported the client’s pragmatic approach to design and living lightly.
Details That Respect the Eichler DNA
The remodel carries forward the Eichler’s original spirit while introducing new layers of modern livability. Originally, the house was approached along a deep, narrow walk, with the garage on one side and the house on the other, leaving the front door tucked far back within this chasm-like space. By pulling the entry forward, the design reshaped the arrival experience, creating a clearer threshold and a natural drop-off zone for bags, shoes, and keys. This shift also made room for a custom bench at the entry that extends seamlessly through the glass sidelight. The bench and drop-off zone now work together as a single, integrated sequence that supports everyday living while offering a tactile reminder of Eichler’s philosophy of connectedness.
At the client’s request, Klopf reintroduced a classic Eichler gesture by extending the exterior siding into the entry and living room. The detail reinforces a sense of indoor/outdoor continuity while providing a subtle architectural surface that allows the client’s photography to take visual precedence.
The signature concrete masonry wall at the front was reconstructed using blocks sourced to match the originals, now strengthened with rebar for seismic resilience while maintaining a private outdoor courtyard, visually extending the kitchen outward. A decorative trellis element, a detail borrowed from a neighboring Eichler, restores a familiar mid-century modern architectural motif. At the courtyard entry door, a custom etched glass sidelight with an ocean-themed design featuring kelp and jellyfish serves as a subtle homage to the client’s passion for deep-sea diving.
Landscaping became an integral part of the overall transformation. The homeowner engaged landscape architect Randi Johnsen of Third Nature Studio to shape a series of calm, inviting outdoor rooms that read as a natural extension of the interiors. While technically outside of the core construction scope, the landscape design proved central to achieving a sense of completeness and connectedness across the property. Such whole-property considerations often emerge as design ideas take shape, underscoring the importance of flexibility in planning and budgeting, as well as close collaboration among the design team starting early in the process.
The Value of Evolving Scope
As with many custom residential projects, the scope evolved during the design process. What began as a targeted remodel grew to include a new/expanded primary suite, a rebuilt CMU patio wall for strength and longevity, and a solar panel array and battery storage for energy resilience and carbon-reduction. Each thoughtful decision represented a conscious investment in the home’s performance and character, rather than a cost overrun.
The result was a project delivered on schedule, tailored precisely to the client’s lifestyle, and positioned to add long-term value both functionally and aesthetically. By embracing scope evolution as an opportunity rather than a challenge, and relying on good design paired with transparent communication, this remodel demonstrates how Eichler homes can be adapted for contemporary living without erasing their DNA.

The Brooke Residence ‘Addi- tion by Subtraction’ remodeling project was recognized with numerous regional and national awards and was selected for Fine Homebuilding’s Annual Issue on Houses.
This 1920’s Craftsman Bungalow had been poorly modified in the 70’s in an attempt to address poor energy performance with a scabbed on solarium. The design solution removed the solarium and completely reimagined the floor plan: The kitchen was relocated to the rear; the stairway was relocated to enhance function, and a better connection to the family room was created.

Capturing the critical importance of EMF testing, this professional photo showcases a certified inspector using a state-of-the-art EMF meter to measure dirty electricity levels near a home's electrical panel. The meter's digital display glows with clear numerical readings, while the inspector's careful positioning demonstrates proper testing technique for accurate measurements.
Dirty electricity testing is crucial for modern homes because:
Poor power quality can affect both human health and electronic equipment performance. When your home's electrical system carries microsurges and voltage spikes (dirty electricity), it can contribute to headaches, fatigue, and sleep issues. Additionally, sensitive electronics may malfunction or have shortened lifespans when exposed to poor power quality.
Dirty electricity often stems from modern devices like LED lights, smart appliances, solar inverters, and dimmer switches. These technologies, while energy-efficient, can create electrical noise that travels throughout your home's wiring. Professional testing helps identify problematic areas and guides targeted solutions like whole-house filters or circuit-specific interventions.
For families concerned about creating a truly healthy home environment, dirty electricity testing is an essential but often overlooked assessment. Our comprehensive testing services help identify EMF hotspots and power quality issues, allowing us to recommend effective mitigation strategies for a cleaner electrical environment.
