Mid-sized cottage chic freestanding desk medium tone wood floor home studio photo in Los Angeles with white walls

There was storage closet/coat closet under the staircase that I thought should be a hidden feature for the owners. The door was kind of squatty and small and visible soon upon entering the home. I wallpapered the whole wall and door with it so as to disguise it (with no door handle). They just had to touch to open it and put personal effects or hang guests jackets in.

The free-standing tub and its lovely faucet are a centerpiece. The new shutters give privacy when needed and have a lighter effect than than the curtains there before.

Old lawn was transformed into a drought-resistant garden offering ever-changing colors and textures. Turf removal rebate from the local water agency helped offset the cost. A new stucco wall with iron gates were built to create an enclosed porch/courtyard to give homeowners a much-needed buffer between their home and the hustle and bustle of a big city . Recycled bricks grace the new wide walkway and enclosed porch.

Roman shades originated in ancient Rome, when homeowners hung wet cloths over their windows to trap dust from the outside and keep the heat in check. Over time, this practical solution evolved into an aesthetic expression of the homeowner. Today, Roman shades are a great combination of utility and fashion.
Somewhere between hard window treatments like blinds or shutters, and soft treatments like curtains or drapes, Roman shades combine the best of both into a unique solution for almost any window! With a variety of lift options and a virtually unlimited line of fabrics to choose from, we can help you find the right Roman shades that perfectly accentuate your living space and reflect your personal style.
Whether your personal style leans more toward casual, classic, or elegant, there’s a Roman shade style that’s perfect for your home. The choices are limitless—classic, flat, relaxed, and more! Roman shades (or Roman blinds, as they are sometimes called) give you the look of costly custom shades at an affordable price that will surprise you. All the Roman fabric shades from Gotcha Covered lay smoothly, evenly, and gracefully into soft folds.
Additionally, Top down, Bottom Up gives you the flexibility to have open window space when and where you want it to expose those views or allow more natural light in while still maintaining privacy.

When the family built a brand new home in Wentzville, they purposely left the walk-out basement unfinished so they learn what they wanted from that space. Two years later they knew the basement should serve as a multi-tasking lower level, effectively creating a 3rd story of their home.
Mosby transformed the basement into a family room with built-in cabinetry and a gas fireplace. Off the family room is a spacious guest bedroom (with an egress window) that leads to a full bathroom with walk-in shower.
That bathroom is also accessed by the new hallway with walk-in closet storage, access to an unfinished utility area and a bright and lively craft room that doubles as a home office. There’s even additional storage behind a sliding barn door.
Design details that add personality include softly curved edges on the walls and soffits, a geometric cut-out on the stairwell and custom cabinetry that carries through all the rooms.
